Boredom was not an emotion Maarab was accustomed to. And, he decided as he prowled the city streets, it was not a feeling he enjoyed. At home there had been no time for it, but here... He clenched his hand into a fist, quietly laughing to himself and looking around at the buildings. School took up some time. Research even more. But something was missing. The outlets he would use at home generally frowned upon, expensive, or both. He needed a job, for so many reasons.

That wasn't why he was out tonight though. With all that had happened recently, Maarab was a little more on edge than usual. And if he couldn't be as violent as he would prefer, there were still ways to be active. So he explored the city until he came to a lively looking spot. There was a small line waiting to get into a club, and he could hear the loud music. The place wasn't too upscale, but it wasn't a dive either.

Walking over to the line, Maarab spoke to the person at the end, trying to get a feel for whether he actually wanted to go in or try his luck somewhere else. "This seems like a decent place for dancing. Have you been here before?"

(Sorry, hit post too soon)

Eliza had, in point of fact, not been here before. But she wasn’t about to admit that.

Especially not to the man currently towering over her, making her feel very young and very small in comparison. And she had gone through such lengths to appear older tonight. Her makeup was on point, her hair styled in a look that didn’t scream ‘I’m a high school girl’ and an open-side minidress that was more a promise of clothing than an actual outfit.

But she was here, and she was getting into this club, and she was going to have a good time. She paid way too much money for the fake ID in her purse to allow herself any insecurity now.

So instead, she smiled up at him like she belonged here. “The best club I’ve been to!” she replied. A true statement, after a fashion. The line moved up a bit, and the music inside got a little louder. Eliza found herself swaying to the beat ever so slightly. “The music is loud, the drinks are strong, and they’e only been raided by the cops for drugs twice in the last month. Matter of opinion if that’s a plus or a minus though!”. She winked up him .
