[Tom=http://i.imgur.com/xuv0mY6.jpg]It had been two days since Bartholomew had embarrassed the haughty girl. She had run out crying, which had just left Barry feeling just unreasonably smug.

The sun wasn't even fully up, and yet Bartholomew was already in his office. He found that being in there helped him focus when he was grading papers, rather than taking them home to work on. And it wasn't as though he had much of a social life. So after waking up at four in the morning and going for his admittedly useless run, he often came in early to finish up extra work and plan for the day.

He also used this time for students who really wished to get more help to potentially come in when none of their peers might see them. He didn't understand what was so embarrassing about asking for help, but it apparently was.

Lost in his work as he was, he didn't hear the door until it was already clicking closed. Looking up from his papers, Bartholomew hid the smirk he wanted to wear even as the beginnings of that mocking laughter echoed in his skull.
"Miss Redwood. What a pleasant surprise."[/Tom]

She/her
The last couple days had been hard on Jamie. She had been struggling with the events that had happened. Her failure both in her test, and in her will had been a hard pill for her to swallow, and coming to terms had been even harder. She had even left her last class in tears after being dominated so severely. Even now she had no idea why she had submitted so easily. She didn't know that magical influence had been involved. All she knew was that somehow she had given in.

It was early now, classes hadn't started, and few people roamed the halls of the academy. Jamie had a purpose for being here, and she looked the part as she walked briskly along the corridors. She planned to speak to him again. To make this right. She didn't know how, but she was not about to sit back and do nothing.

It didn't take her long to get to his office. Though it did take her a few odd moments to work up the nerve to open his door. Despite her best attempts at silence, she couldn't help the clicking of the door closing, as it announced her entry. So much for the element of surprise, she thought as she stood with her back to the door.

"Err, um. Yes. I am sorry to intrude professor. But I have a request." She wasn't going to wait or beat around the bush with him. She took a few cautious steps towards his desk as she spoke.

[Tom=http://i.imgur.com/xuv0mY6.jpg]Well wasn't this a surprise. She had a request. And she was nervous. Was she still reeling from his humiliation of her before? Was she here for more of the same? No, he couldn't imagine she was. She was genuinely prideful, it wasn't some kind of front.

Did she want to improve her grades? The small voice in his head whispered all kinds of debauched ideas for helping her with that. Bartholomew squeezed his eyes shut and tried to ignore the suggestions.
"A request? Well that is why I am here so early. Please, have a seat and tell me what it is you want, miss Redwood."

Use her name, he had to remind himself. She was not 'girl' or any of the other epithets that Sitri filled his head with. Putting down his pen to pay attention to her, Bartholomew quickly picked it up again to give himself some small distraction from looking directly at her.

So much of this girl reminded him of Abigail. Not her attitude, no. But her appearance. He wondered to himself if this is what Abigail looked like in her youth. Before she turned into a manipulative, unfaithful bitch, leaving without even bothering to wait and see if he would return, his father reminded him.

Barry sighed. This was going to be a long morning.[/Tom]
