Celeste did not get mad, or upset with Ebviony. She was more surprised than anything. She could also understand one's need to save or keep their family safe, and that was what was going through her mind at the moment.

"Are you sure your mother is alive?" she asked. Not sure asking Altizica for help was a good idea, but she was willing to hear Ebviony out.

Ebvion was stunned by the question. It was something he had considered. Was this all a lost cause? A waste of resources?

"I... I don't know. But if she is, I have to save her! And the other kids! A lot of fae use human children as warriors because they can wield iron and do stuff fae can't. They might be hurt too. They might be slaves or tortured or... I-I don't know..."

"Shh... It's okay," Celeste said in a soothing tone as she reached out to place a hand on Ebviony's, trying to calm him down when he became visibly agitated by her question.

"There might be a way to find out if they are still alive," she told him, her tone much more confident than she felt at the moment. Celeste was pretty sure there was a way to find out, maybe a scrying spell, or a summoning spell of some sort. She knew that ancient druidic or necromantic magic allowed a person to call up a powerful spirit that could see things normal mortals couldn't.

"What if there isn't? I... I still want to get back at them. At the courts who hurt Mommy and took everything away from us. I want them to suffer." Ebvion's voice turned into a whine. If only listening to their tone, it would sound like they wanted to get back at some bullies who smashed their dolls. Not to invade entire kingdoms and countries and raze them.

"I understand your desire to get back at the people who hurt your family, but do you even know which fae they were, or if they are even around anymore?" she asked Ebviony, keeping her tone calm and even as possible as she continued to ask pertinent questions. She did not want Ebviony to get hurt or take revenge on innocents just because they were wanted to (understandably) avenge their court and those who had harmed them.

Ebvion wasn't sure why the fae who hurt his family wouldn't be around anymore. No, they could understand, actually. Faeries were always fighting amongst each other. It wouldn't be a surprise if some got themselves killed. That would be a shame. Then Ebvion couldn't get his revenge.

"I recognized some of them... The Sundragon, Midknight, Betwixt Skies, and Neverending Dance courts. I know their rulers. I saw their emblems."

All these questions... Was Celeste not convinced that this was of the utmost importance? The longer they wanted, the worse things would get for the kidnapped.

"I... I want to hurry. A year here could be hundreds of years in some of those courts. But that doesn't mean anyone's dead. Just... Just broken..." Which would have been worse. Death was a mercy in the hands of the worst of faeries. Hundreds of years of torture was a thought Ebvion didn't want to think of, yet they had to for the sake of their court.

The names of the faerie courts were vaguely familiar, but only just. Celeste was not as versed in fae lore as her father was, however she knew how terrible the courts could be.

"I understand you are worried, and I want to help you free your mother and help the others, but you can't just openly attack four fae courts that are possibly more experienced in warfare, well-armed and battle-ready," Celeste reasoned, seeing how Ebviony's idea was a bad idea and would lead to more problems. She also was afraid Ebviony would be hurt along with others around them.

There was no arguing against that. Ebvion's warfare knowledge came from the games he played with other children. His court wasn't made to go to war with others. It was a safe haven for children.

"You're... You're right..." His voice was defeated. "I need to study more... and make more allies."

Looking around, he tried to find something else to focus on. Then, he remembered what brought them out here in the first place. "Is the bread going to waste? It's bad to waste food."

"Oh, no. No. We can definitely eat the bread," Celeste said as she got to her feet when Ebviony reminded her about the lammas she had made for the ritual that afternoon.

"Let me grab it, and then we can go home. If you want, I can make you a snack I used to eat as a child. My mother used to take some fresh bread, butter it, and then put some sugar and chocolate sprinkles on it," she told Ebviony, trying to refocus their attention on something else. She had seen as well as sensed their obvious disappointment at not being able to avenge their court immediately and hoped to distract them with something she knew they might enjoy.

Ebvion put on a weary smile and stood up with Celeste. "I want to help. You always make stuff for me. It's not fair if I don't make stuff back." For some time, Ebvion was aware of how much debt he was in with Celeste. He needed to do something special for her.

He told himself it was because he was a fae and that he needed Celeste on his side as an ally. He knew deep down he just wanted to do something nice for her.

"I'll make a snack for you too. We can have a tea party. A Lammas tea party."
