Johanna at the end of the table, with nothing more than a bowl of of minestrone soup, small buns of bread, and pasta swimming in an alfredo sauce. Next to her meal is physics textbook and several scattered pieces of note paper. Even as she dipped bits of bread into her soup she was busy scribbling elegant calligraphy onto the paper with her fountain pen, answering the questions listed at the end of the chapter. Some of her classmates called her an over achiever but to her it just diligent work. Just because she was eating didn't mean that she had to squander it. While she sits at a large table, only one of half the the table is fully occupied while on the other half its just Johanna with her homework. This suited her just fine though as it meant that there was no immediate distractions around herself.

"So if multiply it by the gravitational constant... then it should be..." she mutters to herself.

Johanna writes out some equations with one hand while the other hand scoops up a tangle of pasta noodles. She takes a bite, sets her fork down, pats the extra sauce off her mouth with a napkin and resumes her studies in the midst of the cafeteria.

Lunch time, Lucy's favorite time of the day. Though this would be considered lighter by her standards, the meal did consist of double portions of everything on the menu. This would tide her over until she could leave campus and go either hunting, or to a buffet. Not that the hunger ever truly relented. She was however raised better than to just gorge herself mindlessly. The insectoid had scanned the lunch room, opting against sitting with her friends or sister. She'd promised she'd sit with someone in particular.

She smiled eagerly when her gaze landed on Johanna, diligently doing her schoolwork and eating... probably minestrone. It didn't matter to her. She moved over to the angel's table and sat directly across from her, pulled out her personal case of silverware and began setting her place. Her napkin was folded neatly, and her forks, spoons, and knives were arranged in the proper order.

"I promised I would sit with you, so here I am," she gave her a friendly smile before beginning to delicately eat her large meal.

As Johanna reviewed her work, she saw from the corner of her eye that someone someone approach the table she was sitting at. When she looked up and saw Lucy, her face twisted with mild shock before contorting into a disdainful gaze. Johanna knew the demons game... a ploy to sully her image among her peers for tolerating a demon. Be she couldn't just try to force her away at that would only make her look like the aggressor and the demon appear as the victim. A clever plot she has to admit but Johanna caught onto whatever this demon's intentions are.

At first she remains silent to Lucy, ignoring her as if no one was sitting near her. But... Lucy's presence proved too much of distraction for Johanna as she couldn't quite shake off her demons influence. At last, Johanna sighed with resignation and asked:

"Shouldn't you be sitting with your own kind and not bother someone whom is clearly trying to do their schoolwork?"

Johanna didn't even bother to look up to Lucy as twirled her fork in the noodles and took a bite. She silently prayed that the demon will just leave them to merely eat their meal in peace.

Lucy knew exactly what she was doing. In fact, she'd be lying if she denied the fact that making the angel squirm a bit brought her some enjoyment. Then again, it was in her nature to enjoy prey squirming. Johanna however, wasn't prey. She was more along the lines of being a project. Her black and white view of the world was concerning at best. Lucy's own experience on the island was very eye opening for her in that regard. More so than the things she'd heard back in Hell.

"Well, I'm making good on my promise to you. And I don't exclusively sit with my own kind, I sit with everyone.

She paused to take a few bites of her food before continuing. She clicked her sheathed fingertips against the table. "I have a proposal that I'd like to pose to you."

Johanna slowly exhales, setting her pen down and straightened her posture to look at the devil sitting across from her. She gives Lucy a leery stare as she listens to her with her arms crossed. As the demon spoke Johanna what game they were trying to play with her. What devious plot was it conjuring? Johanna knew it was unwise to listen to the deals offered by demons but perhaps if she just hears them out then perhaps it will leave them alone. Not like she will be agreeing to any offer that they are going to make.

"A promise mind you that I had very little input in." grumbled Johanna she continued to address her grievances "And I personally think it would be best if you do remain with your kind... to keep your affairs within your own sphere of influence but... I digress. I'll hear out your proposal... under the condition that once you have you will bother me further. Are we in agreement?"

Lucy's antennae wiggled as she listened to Johanna's begrudging agreement to hear her out. She wasn't surprised at the terms of the agreement. She was a tough nut to crack, that was for sure. Still the gluttony demon wasn't going to let such things be a deterrent. She took a couple small bites of her food and began.

"I'll leave you be then," she was a bit reluctant. There was even a brief second when she considered changing her mind entirely, but this was something that had to be said.

" I want to promote good relations with everyone in the school, and community. I'm not quite sure how yet, maybe some kind of outreach group that helps people. It's silly, I know... I just wanna prove that it doesn't matter what you are or your background. We can all pull together and do some good. You're probably going to laugh at me now and tell me how stupid I am, but I wanted to ask for your help with this anyway."

Johanna wrinkles her nose, as if she smelled something foul. She lets out a dismissive snort as she picks up her pen and goes back to whatever homework problem she left off earlier, not even bother to look at the insectiod demon across from her. She was right to think of her being stupid... because she was. Why would she ever trust or help a demon? She said that one's past nor background means should mean anything but that is where she was wrong... it meant everything.

"There is nothing that your able to prove because there is nothing to prove. Your past and heritage... its like a stain that you can't scrub away no matter how laborious your efforts. It will always be a part of you, a permanent mark that one can't erase nor deny. Now will you leave me be demon? It would the greatest kindness you could ever do for me."
