Lex smiled. "Yeah, I guess so. I've never really had much chance in my life to be near stables, but when I have been, the memories always are of the peace that's there." then she glanced at the vibrating barn, "But somehow, I don't think that this one's going to be like that." she said, still chuckling.
Then she frowned for a moment. "I have a feeling that this is going to be the place for mushy romantics. You know, the whole, 'my...date's better than your date.' thing?" she cocked her head to the side, and pondered whether or not he really did know. Now that she knew where his family was 'from' she was suddenly aware of how much stuff might not be the same for him. All that she knew was that Valentines Day was the only day she didn't get beat up. She subconciously rubbed the heavy white scar on the back of her hand. Chloe had died just a few weeks after Valentines day. But she forced the memory back into it's corner. It was in the past, nothing like that was ever going to happen again.
