Augustus was waiting in his office for his secretary to notify him. A few days ago, he was hired by some normie for a divorce. Normal stuff, but the wife had apparently been playing it up with another man. That threw a wrench in his simple case.

The guy had hired some PD to assist him with it, as it appeared just divorce wasn't good enough for the guy, and they needed proof. Augustus could only imagine what idiot they paired him with this time.

Nora was in her home office, practically a headless chicken. She hadn't had a case in weeks, and she really needed to get on top of her bills. A slice of toast hanging from her lips, she grabbed her keys and got into her car. Finishing her toast on the way to the specified address.

Entering the office she had a polite smile on her features. "Augustus." She greeted as she entered the room.

"Ahh, Detective Pyscho," He acknowledged her presence, careful to link the title to her Agency rather than her actual name. Augustus had work to do today.

He had met Ms Patterson before, on a previous case. Unfortunately, they were on opposing sides of the court, and she was the final nail in the coffin for his client, causing him to be sentenced to 7 years without parole.

Moving his eyes back down, he looked at some paperwork. "Normally, I'd ask you to wait outside until I call for you. but I have to work with you." He made a visually disgusted face.

Nora quirked a brow at his words, but remained good-natured. Nora wasn't primarily a prosecution's detective like most, she bounced between the two sides quite frequently, she only wanted what everyone else in the law industry wanted; truth and justice.

"Always a pleasure crossing wits with you." She said. "So, what's the case this time?" Nora asked, jumping into business. The sooner they got it done, the sooner they wouldn't have to deal with each other. Though it'd be good if they came to an agreeable conclusion, considering her empathic abilities.

He laughed if a bit rudely. "The Case, as you say, is for you to leave." He paused for a moment. "Find whether or not a woman was actually cheating on her husband, whatever makes the client happy."

Augustus pushed a manila folder towards her. The more information he gave her now, the less he had to see of her later. "Inside you'll find the Details you need. I've compiled a list of things that should suffice in court." He nodded. Despite what he thought of her, she was actually a good detective. "I'm sure it's simple enough for you to do."

"Leave, I wish. But work is work." She remarked back with a laugh of her own. "A case of cheating, huh?" She raised a brow, picking up the manila folder and flipping through it. Despite their history, she found that he was, more often than not, very detail oriented. "What sparked his suspicion in the first place? And is there history of cheating from either od them, as far as you know?" She asked looking up. "That'll be as good a place as any to start." She figured to start with the client himself.

"Details uncertain," He sighed. Nothing was worse than being questioned for information he didn't have. "Contact details for both parties on the first page. Make good use and keep out of my hair. I'm very busy nowadays."

Feeling the itch of a cough start to form, he left the room, leaving her to browse the files. Inside, she could see a written document by the Client detailing his account finding his wife in bed. It was short and full of multiple spelling errors Augustus had so eagerly circled. The basic gist was that the man came home to find his wife naked, and had heard someone running out the third-storey window beforehand. The wife said that she was taking a nap and that the footsteps were pure coincidence.
