La Bussola (literally "the compass") is an authentic Northern Italian restaurant in a more affluent area of downtown Manta Carlos. The restaurant in general has a refined feel with the comfortable undertone of a family owned establishment. The owner, Basilio Genovese, can be seen regularly taking up duties alongside his employees.
The interior of the restaurant boasts hefty wooden tables and ample, sturdy seating to accommodate a number of body types. The lighting is adequate but not overbearing, and the atmosphere is filled with the smell of good food and the sound of good conversation. The wait staff are identified by their neat, professional attire and the compass rose shaped lapel pin they all wear.
