Name: Krish Liang
Age: 17
Birthday: April 6
Gender: Male (He/Him) (They is acceptable if currently appearing more feminine)
Species: Tulpa
Category: Student
Class: High School
Grade: Remedial
Appearance Description:
Krish is a pale individual, actually, he is far paler than he should be, with his skin being outright ashen at points. This is completely natural though, he may appear sick but this is how he was created. The tattoos over almost every part of his skin, arms, legs, back, chest, even neck, are also completely natural and permanent, even coming back if temporarily removed.
His eyes are purely black and red, and his shoulder length hair is a more average reddish brown, nothing special.
He tends to wear long and comfy clothes, such as turtleneck sweaters or thick jackets. Nearly nothing will get him out of these outfits, and if he really must wear something else, he prefers to still cover his tattoos. Due to his average 5'7 height, and androgynous body, using clothes not typically for men isn't unusual, so long as it fits. Still, he has a sense of fashion, and pride, and would never wear anything outright clashing.
Personality Description: Krish is a fish out of water trying as desperately as he can to not be. He didn't know much about the world even before he ended up at the Academy, and now that he is here, his nearly nonexistent knowledge of the world causes him to overcompensate for nearly everything, from knowledge to attitude. Acting snooty and uppity is now the norm for him, as it allows him to pretend he himself doesn't feel lost and weak among so many magical and amazing people. Not to mention the fact he is something that almost didn't exist, and his sense of importance is quite fragile thanks to this.
Still, Krish does not seem to get he isn't the most pleasant person in the world, in fact, being told so would be a shock to his systems. Growing up, he was essentially a spoiled brat, and despite some attempts to steer him away from his attitude, he still is far too blunt and oblivious to what is thought of him. In fact, he never seems to realize if he isn't wanted or actually liked by someone, he simply hangs around whoever he have decided to, their own opinions be damned.
Emotional outbursts are the norm for this Tulpa, and unfortunately, these outburst range from the joyful, to just plain angry. Impulses are hard for him to control, and if he wants to hug or chock somebody, whichever, there is a large chance he will do just that.
The worst Krish tends to do while overcompensating is outright lying about what he is, or what he can do. Currently, his biggest lie, and one he tells far too often, is that he's actually a disease god, not just the thought of one. Having an ability to lie with a straight face comes in handy here.
Active Abilities: Levitation: Krish has the ability to float all the way from a few inches, to five feet above the ground indefinitely. Moving while levitating is still as fast as Krish can normally run, which is to say, not very fast. Still, there is no requirement for him to ever touch the ground unless he wants to, and floating is so natural to him by that he might start levitating without realizing.
Instant Illness Inducing: Due to being thought into existence as a being to create illness, that is exactly what Krish can do. Causing someone to experience common symptoms such as fevers, headaches, coughs and sneezes are a breeze to him, with more specific symptoms of illness, like coughing up blood, sores, and other ugly, painful and potentially deadly symptoms taking a bit more concentration, enough to actually give Krish a migraine and forcing him to stop for an hour or two. Futhermore, these severe symptoms take some time to induce, while this time can be spread out as the symptoms will not fade until Krish wills it to, a full hour, the same amount of time he'll need to recover, is needed.
So long as Krish can see someone they are within his range, though the moment he can't see them he can't influence further.
Strangely, these symptoms are completely controlled by Krish, and he can remove them just as easily as they appeared, in fact, he is the only being that can remove symptoms he created, with other magical or technological means not even detecting the sickness.
Krish can induce symptoms in himself as well, if he so wanted to, and can remove it just as easily.
Illness Healing: While not too powerful as of now, Krish can heal minor illnesses that he himself didn't cause. His range is as far as he can currently see, and he suffers no adverse effects using this ability. This ability works just as well on himself as other people.
Passive Abilities: Immortal: As long as he isn't killed through other means, such as fading or injury, Krish will never die. Furthermore, just like at the moment of his creation, he will never age past his current appearence of a young adult.
Active Thought Changes: Due to Krish's existence as a Tulpa, something thought into existence, his appearence, impulses, and powers can be slightly altered with people's thoughts about him. Somebody expects him to be nicer to them, he'll feel a random urge to be nicer, if someone mistook him for a girl from behind he will appear more feminine, even someone just thinking his powers aren't too impressive can dampen them until he leaves that person's presence.
This cannot affect his personality however, and impulses are just that, impulses, and can be ignored with force of will.
Krish has to be in a person's presence, about ten feet away from them, for their thoughts to affect him, and if there's multiple people, whatever is the most common thought about him will overtake the rest.
Weaknesses: Weak Body: Krish is quite a bit weaker than the typical human, able to be knocked down or pushed around far more easily than someone their size should. Lifting anything heavy is a stuggle, with anything more than 50 pounds being beyond him. Most likely appeared due to being thought of as a "weak god" when thought into existence.
Present day Krish: Krish actively needs someone to remember how he is currently every single day. This means he has to be a memory in somebody's mind every day, even just being bumped into in a crowd counts. While this is normally nothing to worry about, being trapped or isolated from people is a dangerous situation that will cause Krish to start physically fading away, as he is sustained by recent memories of himself from others. While he have never gotten too far into this situation yet, it's likely two full days of interacting with nobody would cause Krish to fully fade away.
Common Magical Items: Simple Language Charm (Mandarin)
Biography: Krish's creation was an accident, an extremely rare type of accident on top of that. Tulpas usually are a planned thought brought to life through concentration of magical users able to project their thoughts together. Tulpa creation typically has everyone know what they're doing, what will happen, and what to do with the Tulpa afterwards. Krish's creation was none of these.
Instead, Krish appeared into existence into the Chinese countryside when a cult, about ten people who unknowingly had just the magical powers to create him, all collectively managed to concentrate the image of their god into an actual person. Tattoos, eyes, weakened physique, and powers all into one new being.
While Krish certainly panicked at first, he had the mind of a young child at the moment, with little ability to figure out what had just happened, he was eventually lured out by one of the group's members, a young woman. She claimed she and the others followed a god with control over disease and illness, and that he was this god. Unfortunately, no-one, especially Krish, knew the truth about his creation, and after a confirmation of his abilities that matched the supposed god exactly, they took the only explanation that seemed to make sense.
And even more unfortunately, Krish came to be quite the brat after a few years of being treated like a literal god, and came to even use his powers to get what he wants from passing strangers, or even the ten members. Thankfully, the woman, who he would learn is named Jia Liang, would rein him back before he became a dangerous presence, if only a little. Observing his attitude and lack of knowledge, she realized he really was a child, not her god, and a child that was already becoming something bad.
While she certainly wasn't a perfect presence, she was just as fanatically loyal to her created god as before, and never have raised a child before, she was better than constant presence with the cult. She tried to educate him, teach him a bit about the world, even gave him a new name, Krish. She actually became a bit of a mother figure to him.
This strange life, with hours where he was almost a normal teenager interlaced with hours where he was still treated as a god, until Jia brought him to a town to try and get him to a school. Krish was already in a horrible mood, he have been separated from the only group he knew for a few days, Jia have tricked the rest if the cult to stay behind, and lashing out at the first person to push past him in the town was nearly inevitable. That would have been noticeble enough to get scouts from Starlight Academy into that little town in China, but then Jia still tried to bring him directly to the high school of the town. Instantly a strange eyed, tattooed boy with strange powers was a spreading rumor.
A scout found Krish and Jia near the outskirts of the town, quite clearly about to enter the town again. Thankfully, a promise of the perfect education and area for people like Krish was enough to sway Jia, and the promise of potentially getting to see how special he was swayed Krish. He even forgot to complain about leaving behind the rest of the cult.
Though, Krish would find something to worry about at Starlight Academy, specifically, just how special everyone was, especially in comparison to what he actually turned out to be, a Tulpa, nothing special like a god. While he certainly seemed to be one of the few Tulpas at the Manta Carlos, not many of the staff have seen something like him before, in his opinion? He wasn't anything amazing, not that he would ever tell.
Resources: Krish lives in the school dorms and is provided a hefty amount of financial aid due to coming to the island with nothing except Jia, a guardian of debatable qualifications and little resources of her own. Still, Krish is counted Jia's child unless problems arise.
