Kris Wretzki & Quasar

Kris is a teen aged boy of slightly less than average height, lithe/wiry figure, and dark skin. He has an androgynous face and messy dark hair that reaches halfway down his back with bangs over his green eyes eyes.

When required to wear the uniform, he usually is found in the female uniform due to personal choice - however there is usually a red scarf accompanied with it and sometimes an old vest. When not required to wear the vest he is found in simple clothes, usually something a bit baggy for lower clothes and tighter for upper clothes.

Kris projects a 'tough girl' attitude, usually coming off as a bratty delinquent. But underneath the rough and tough exterior, there's a soft, gentle heart. He is also incredibly loyal to people he deems his friends. When he actually opens up he tends to appear a lot less serious around his friends.

He's strong-willed and actually rather intelligent, but this is mainly due to his power being one that requires mental control. However, despite this, Kris is rather hotheaded and can be reckless, usually charging into things. Though that doesn't mean he doesn't think things through, first.

Kris has a very proven love of battle and fighting. While not exactly the strongest, he is known to use Quasar to achieve victory if possible.​

「Fighting Spirit: Quasar」
Kris's life energy and mental will, personified. Quasar completely powered by hos will alone to fight and survive. While the being produced doesn't look like him, any detection to test anything aura-like will confirm it is, technically, him! Mind reading, however, only receives the equivalent of TV static. The creature itself doesn't really have sentience. Though it can act on it's own for the benefit of it's owner.

Kris currently can't really control his spirit fully, yet. Especially when he gets enraged. Also, because of this, he has trouble keeping the spirit from popping up. So keeping it out constantly is a bit taxing on his energy.

Quasar herself appears humanoid at the hulking size of seven feet tall with an athletic form. It's hair, while similar to Kris's in size, is white. It's body seems to either be made of, or clothed in, armored-like, light green skin. It feels like skin but is simply tougher. It has a golden-metal armor on it's body, along with a bright red scarf around it's neck.


The Fighting Spirit cannot be seen by most normies. Only the supernaturally inclined are the ones who can see it. Though there are exceptions to both sides of the story (up to you on if you want your character to see it or not).

Quasar itself cannot be copied, mimicked, or absorbed itself. However people who try to do such things get either Quasar's abilities for themselves or their own Fighting Spirit.

「Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger」
While the spirit is Kris's life energy, it boasts incredible strength, speed, endurance, and precision compared to Kris.
Endurance, being able to take on many hits. If it's given time to brace itself it is able to withstand weak rifles and most pistol fire. Normal human punches don't do a whole lot to it.
Precision, While it doesn't actually need to be able to throw things, it's eyesight and movements are so precise it can move with surgical-level skill.
Speed, It's fast. Not speedster levels of fast in terms of movement but it's most noticeable when moving to protect Kris from a threat or attacking an enemy.
Strength, Quasar boasts considerable strength. It's able to pick up approximately one ton.

Due to the considerable power of his Battle Spirit, it needs to stay in close proximity to Kris to keep it's power going. It can travel a maximum of five meters away from Kris before hitting an unseen 'wall'. Through intense training it can, potentially, be doubled to ten meters.
「Shared Damage」
Damage done to Quasar is transferred to Kris. When Quasar is defeated, Kris usually loses consciousness. Therefore, if Quasar loses a hand - then so does Kris. Additionally, if Quasar is healed, then so is Kris.

Kris grew up in grand 'ol New York City! Of course, unfortunately for him, his mother was a bit displeased with him being.. Well, a him! She wanted a girl oh-so-very-badly. And his father just wasn't wanting another child. So she did what any crazy person would do and decide to raise Kris as what she wanted. A girl. Of course this continued, he was teased at school a lot when it was revealed he was a boy. Not that he really minded or anything at the time. Though, as he grew older - it did start to bother him.

But one thing that was happening is that in the apartment he was raised in.. Things started to disappear. There were rumors about their apartment being haunted by an evil ghost that started to rise.

When he was thirteen years old, his mother passed away. His father, displeased with how he was raised, tried to get his son to do more 'manly' things. After a few years of Kris's denial there was some abuse slowly ended up becoming a common thing in the household. Kris had stopped going to school after the first year, instead choosing to skip and wander around the city, eventually joining with a band of hoodlums and forming a small-time gang with them. And one fateful night was the night he actually met Quasar. His will kicked in, forced to defend himself. He didn't necessarily mean to kill him. However his fighting spirit was new to him, Quasar ended up punching a hole through his father's abdomen.

After being discovered as being a rather gifted being, Kris was ushered into the Academy, mainly so he could learn to control his power. He, obviously, wasn't too happy about having to go back to school again. And even more unhappy that he was being placed in a tenth grade with additional tutoring needed to keep him caught up on his studies.​
