Wolfe had told Noah that schools paved the way for a better future, but really, all Noah wanted to do was to go back to his blissful days of ignorance. He didn't like people, who could blame him, so he spent most time alone but it wasn't that he was antisocial but more that humans where horrible. He could go on and on about the subject but that would just make him frustrated, he did however to agree to go to this school because Wolfe had asked, Wolfe who had taught him so much, gained his trust and a place in his pack.

As he was walking through the hallway he noticed that the ones looking most like humans stared at students who either looked nothing like humans or had non human features, like wings and horns. Once it was his turn to be stared at he made himself as big and wide as he could, by stretching and as a method of intimidation, a not so subtle way to tell them to piss of. He had wanted to make a good impression to his roommate but he was so tense he knocked three times hard while still making himself bigger.

He had a roommate, or rather he was getting one. In truth James was fully sure he wanted one, yet here he was, waiting for his to arrive. He sat on his bed, a book in his hands, the Shadow was silently reading along with him, it was strange how their relationship had progressed from antagonistic to sibling like. The entity no longer tormented him, he annoyed him sometimes, but he wasn't cruel anymore.

James flipped the page in his book, it was on magic, shadow magic specifically, their specialty, he wasn't sure if he could learn more abilities, but it didn't hurt to try. Strangely enough the Shadow seemed to not understand much about his own magic, like a child given powers.

His gray silver eyes looked up from his book, someone was at his door. He quickly checked the time on his phone and realized it must be his roommate, he vanished in a burst of darkness and reappeared in front of the door. Clearing his throat he opened it, "hello," he said calmly, if a bit shyly, the young man he saw looked a bit older. Now some would have been intimidated by how large he was, James was not. "I'm guessing you're my roommate," he offered his hand to shake, "I'm James."

It wasn't until the door opened and his roommate was revealed to him that he realized that he was still tense and in a intimidating position. While he could relax his body, his mind was not at ease. Would the boy standing in front of him be like every one else or different and if so, how different, would it be good or bad. Many more questions was on his mind, like would they get along and how would they deal with it if they didn't.

He almost forgot to introduce himself "Oh, Right. My given name is Noah" and as he spoke he accepted the others hand. Without realizing it, his words could be a hint for others to peak into a tiny porton of his life, that someone could figure out that he didn't always hava a name. Though that single piece of evidence that he had existed before entering the school would be hard to pick up by most and even rarer to understand it without further hints, though he wasn't worried as his past wasn't a secret

Scanning the room behind James while waiting for him to move, to see which bed and area seemed the least used, for that might be his. He had wanted, if possible, to use the bed furthest away from the door. His reason was the same as to why he wanted to sit the seat furthest away from the teacher and furthest away from the door, to sit in the corner while in a class. It was simply a survival trick, this way should anyone attempt to disrupt his classes he would be able to see and respond to it before anything happens.
