Kinone can only stay in each form 30 minutes to 2 hours at most and afterwards she can't shapeshift for 12 hours. The time Kinone can be in a form depends on the size of the form. In her human male form Kinone can stay for 40 minutes and in her rat form, 2 hours.

-Each kitsunebi can store one voice Kinone has heard and project it. Kinone chooses what the voice says while projecting. The voices have a small hypnotic effect and the listener feels the slight urge to follow the source of the sound, in this case the kitsunebi. Once a voice is stored inside a kitsunebi it can't be removed. Currently Kinone has 5 voices stored in her kitsunebis.
-Kinone can create illusions with the kitsunebi. If a person looks at her kitsunebi farther than 2 metres away she can make them see any thing or person as long as it's not bigger than her. For example, Kinone can't make people see a muscular, tall man but can make them see a lamp, chair, angry barking dog or even a small lion.
But if the person comes closer than 2 metres from the kitsunebi the blue light ball can be seen through the illusion.
Kinone can keep an illusion up for 30 minutes at most. Afterwards she has the symptoms of anemia, the longer she kept the illusion up worse the symptoms are.

Kinone was born to two ancient nine tailed foxes in the country side of Japan. The two ancient beings had long ago chosen to live a humble life as normal foxes and Kinone's birth was a gift for them. But it was also a surprise, since even the two ancient foxes had never seen a nine tailed fox born with all its tails.
Kinone spent her first 5 years of life living with her parents in the forests and meadows. They taught her about her heritage and powers and taught her how to use them. They warned Kinone about the amount of her powers, since they were quite immense. They told her the world was full of people willing to use her or even kill her for her powers. This lesson was deeply engraved into Kinone's head.
But the small fox was adventurous, and though her parents had forbidden it Kinone one day went to explore near a human town. The human's smelled funny and looked like her when she was in her other body. Kinone went to a human neighbourhood and carefully explored this strange new world.
Kinone didn't spend a long time near the town and only explored a few backyards. But that was enough for some people to see her. A word spread in the neighbourhood about a white fox wandering in the area and couple of fur hunters heard about it.
Kinone made the mistake of coming again and this time the hunters happened to see her. And when Kinone went home the hunters tracked her.
Kinone was captured by the hunters when she was about a mile away from her home den. She was shot on the leg with a tranquilizer and put in a cage. Kinone remembers shouting with all her might for her mother and father. And they did come, and attacked the hunters. But before they could transform into their other forms the hunters were able to shoot them dead. Kinone saw the scene right before the tranquilizer kicked in and knocked her out.
Kinone woke up on a boat, on her way to Hongkong to be fattened up, skinned and sold to a fur manufacturer. The sea voyage felt like eternity as Kinone cried and cried for her parents, and blamed herself for all that had happened.
When the boat arrived to Hongkong Kinone's inner warrior sparked. She would not go down, not like this. Not after her parents had sacrificed themselves. So when her cage was unloaded and put into a truck Kinone turned into her human form. Her child's body was big enough and the cage so weak that Kinone was able to break free. Kinone slipped out of the truck and ran to the nearest alley, naked and frightened. And suddenly she found herself on the streets of Hongkong, completely alone.
Kinone spent her first months in her fox form, surviving on scraps and trash. But one day Kinone was spotted by a witch who had surprisingly sharp eyes. She saw Kinone wasn't any ordinary creature. The witch carefully approached Kinone, and informed her she knew what she really was. Kinone, who had never had any positive human contact, naturally ran. But the witch was kind and persistent and during the weeks to come she approached Kinone several times. Eventually, but slowly, Kinone started opening to the woman and after a year or so the witch was finally able to take Kinone with her to her apartment. There the witch cleaned Kinone, treated her injuries and fed her. Kinone turned into her human form for the first time in a long time and spent the next night and day crying in the witch's arms.
The witch crafted Kinone a human charm and Kinone spent a couple years with the witch. She taught Kinone to read, write, some other school subjects and even magic theory. Kinone was a very fast learner and reached middle school level by the time she was 11. As a thank you Kinone helped and ran errands for the witch and was able to familiarize herself with the city from human perspective.
Unfortunately the witch owed money to some bad people, a local creature gang, and one day they had enough of waiting. They broke into the witch's apartment in the middle of the night and ransacked the place. They found Kinone sleeping in the storage room and made her watch, as they beat the old witch. But something they hadn't planned happened. The witch died. Since this was outside their jurisdiction the goons brought Kinone to their boss. Thankfully Kinone was wearing her human charm and was not recognized as a nine tailed fox.
The gang thought Kinone was the witch's relative, and since Kinone was too busy biting and trashing around to deny it she was made an errand boy. And of course afterwards her objections were not heard. It was now Kinone's responsibility to pay back the witch's debt.
Kinone kept working for the gang for the next 11 or so years. At the beginning she did simple errands, like cleaning, bringing drugs, money and sensitive documents from place to place, or perhaps picking up pizza for the whole gang. Once in a while Kinone joined the goons of the gang for a debt collection trip.
Every time Kinone talked back she was smacked and this led Kinone to train her body when she had time. She dreamed of one day kicking in the teeth of all the members of the gang.
Kinone was forced to use her human charm all the time, since the gang finding out about her true nature would surely lead to trouble. But Kinone kept honing her abilities in secret.
When Kinone entered her teenage years naturally the gang tried to make her something else than just an errand boy. Especially since Kinone was looking to grow up to be quite the looker. Thankfully Kinone was able to avoid the members' approaches for many years. But when Kinone turned 17 the boss of the gang tried to lay his hands on her. She was too weak to fight back wearing her human charm so Kinone shed the charm and escaped the boss' clutches. Now it was out that Kinone was a nine tailed fox. Naturally the boss immediately captured Kinone. The gang hacked off one of her tails and captured one of her kitsunebis in an enchanted box. And the first thing that was done to Kinone was rape.
Kinone was now tied by the boss of the group, who could order her around using her kitsunebi. Occasionally she was used as the boss' bitch but mostly she was used for dirty work, like debt collecting or fights.
This continued for nearly 5 years until the boss wanted to hack off one more tail, since the one they had then was proving effective as a lucky charm. Kinone, utterly sick and tired of servitude, had enough. When they tried to restrain her she used one of her kitsunebis to aggravate a member of the gang and he punched another member. This started a big fight, and in the chaos Kinone dashed over to the boss and crushed the box holding her kitsunebi. Kinone slashed the boss' throat open to avenge all the times he used and violated her and then she ran. Kinone ran as fast as she could all the way to the harbour and jumped on the first ship she saw. Kinone was one tail poorer and beat up but free. Finally free.
But Kinone knew the gang would not let her go just like that. So she travelled to Manta Carlos. Kinone had heard of the place from the witch and she knew she had better chance of survival in a place where she didn't have to hide and hold back in case someone came after her.
Now Kinone has been on the island for few weeks, getting by working two jobs.
