Hide stood looking out at the night sky. It was one of those gorgeous clear nights that you only ever got in summer. She twisted a strand of her hair between her fingers as she as she let a light glow envelope her...
Not that she realised she was doing it. This was one of the only signs that Hide was content...well atleast up here she was.

A very tired girl walked all the way up the building to get here. This was the first time Sally had ever been to the roof... and she was only here because she had just gotten out of bed for the first time in several months after suffering from a strange illness. Of course she is now much better. Perhaps it was because she spent most of the time sleeping.

She noticed another girl who was playing with her hair, and walked up to her. Sally yawned before saying "Nice night isn't it? I'm Sally."

Hide jumped at the sound of the girls voice, her glow evaporating.
"Oh...hello."
She looked back out at the sky before her.
"Yes...it's lovely." She sat down on one of the banisters, looking over the girl. She didn't look too well Hide thought, should she really be up here now?

Sally sat next to the other girl, again yawning. She looked at the sky properly. Of course she already knew it was lovely, but she didn't notice the many stars floating in the sky. "Sorry to frighten you," Sally said. She continued looking at the stars, twinkling away as if someone glued glitter into the sky. She closed her eyes to take in the fresh air. It was perfect. She felt more relaxed than when she entered and she was overcoming her illness pretty well. It would have remained perfect had she not coughed a few seconds later.

Hide glanced at the girl when she coughed, worried that she could be harming herself but decided not to say anything.
"Why did you come up here?" She asked instead, moving so that she was facing Sally. "It's fairly out of the way." She curled her legs up and wrapped her arms around them balancing on the banister.

Sally cleared her throat before speaking. "I need all the fresh air I can get. I've been inside for too long." She stood back up and looked down towards the city lights. She hadn't been there at all, and she wondered why. She missed out so much due to her illness. Perhaps fresh air was just what she needed to get rid of what remains of the illness. "So... what's your name?" she asked, her voice becoming clearer.

"Hide..." She replied, realising what a weird name she had. "I guess the fresh air should be good for you, maybe you should go walking a little bit..."
