Kentaroth (Kit)

Note~ Though seeming to have hair, a closer look at Kit will reveal that they are not hairs at all, but fine hair-like feathers. This is derived from his owlish heritage. For the sake of convenience, it will be referred to as hair.

HAIR COLOR: Medium-dark chestnut, thin off-white streak near middle of forehead due to birthmark.

HAIR STYLE: Shorter on sides, longer on top. Naturally straight, no curl. Thick, much volume. Sticks up wildly on top and is nearly impossible to tame. Always looks disheveled to some degree.

EYES: Kit’s eyes are about average-sized and colored true hazel. Depending on the lighting, they may switch between green and reddish-brown tints, usually with obvious golden flecks.

SKIN TONE: Kit’s skin is colored in a light tan with warm undertones, though it is a tad darker than in the image due to exposure to the sun.

BLEMISHES: Across his body, Kit has collected many scars, whether by scraped, cuts, burns, etc. A faded but notable one is on his right temple, appearing to have been caused by blunt force. Kit also has many freckles, especially on his shoulders, upper arms and the back of his neck.

TATTOOS: Kit has this tattoo on the same (right) shoulder, though the ink is a bit darker and browner, as Kit’s skin is darker than in the image. He also has this tattoo on his other arm. On his right hip, there is a small, black and flowing cursive “my love”.

HEIGHT: 5’11” to 6’0”.

FRAME: Lean, muscular, fit.

WEIGHT: Not obvious, but a bit thin, and a bit angular in places not natural for his frame.

AGE APPEARANCE: Usually comes off as older than he is; can pull off up to around 21 at times. This is largely due to his muscle definition.

SHAPE: Slender rectangular, square jaw.

FOREHEAD: Brows arched, but not highly. Slight widow’s peak. Small, sharp horns on forehead, wide base (relatively — about 1 ½ inches) that taper. Horns are a dark ashy brown in color.

NOSE: Average size, slight inward curve to bridge. Cluster of freckles scattered across his cheeks and nose.

MOUTH: Average lips, average-small width, dorky smile.

TEETH: Slightly pointed, as per demonic heritage. Slightly crooked. Missing one tooth on his top left jaw, fourth from center; it is inconspicuous unless he smiles or opens wide.

EARS: Pointed tips.

LOOKS: Considered notably traditionally attractive.

WINGS: Large, wide feathers, usually fluffy. Dark brown base color. Black and white/dust brown owlish markings.

TAIL: Lean, short-”furred” — fur actually consists of fur-like feathers, similar to his hair situation mentioned previously. Pointed spade-shaped tip, spade consisting of longer shaped feathers rather than flesh. Long; when kit stands, it brushes ground with a slight curve near the end while relaxed.

FASHION RATING: Average. Doesn’t make an effort towards fashion, but has a sense of what colors go with what.

GENERAL STYLE: Relaxed. Jeans, tee-shirts, casual dress shirts. Working boots and sneakers. Neutral belts. Few flashy accessories.

PRICE: Cheap. Doesn’t care for designer brands at all; kind of thinks they’re stupid. Buys what fits for the least he can spend. Frequents second-hands and clearance racks.

HYGIENE: Prefers to keep self clean, at least once a day. A bit irritable when he is unclean, but can tolerate; life experiences have increased his tolerance.

ALIGNMENT: Left lower arm and all fingers ever-so-slightly crooked, as though broken badly or repeatedly and set by unskilled hands; healed nearly correctly, but not quite. Often has aches and pains in these areas from the poorly-healed bones.

NAILS: Bites nails absently; if left alone, they would grow to be sharp and clawline, about ½ - 1 inch long maximum.

DOMINANT HAND: Left.

HANDWRITING: Neat-ish, small, space-saving. Something of an artistic flare.

CASUAL GAIT: Slow, subtly careful walk, shoulders back and hands in pockets. Outward appearance is casual and confident. Close look provides tenseness.

HURRIED GAIT: Quickly and slightly hunched, as though subtly defensive. Goal-oriented walk. Wants to get where he’s going as efficiently as possible.

VOICE: Warm, masculine voice, but complete with scratches, breaks and minor stutters. Stutter increases noticeably when distressed. Generally subdued volumes, but can raise his voice quite loudly.

BLUSHING: Tends to blush very easily due to certain effects of wrath heritage.

SCENT: Modest scent of burning firewood, when not wearing a light cologne.

SELF-SUFFICIENT: Kit is very independent and dislikes relying on others. He also dislikes being told what to do and prefers to make his own decisions when possible.

QUIETLY AGAINST AUTHORITY: Generally speaking, Kit can tolerate authority, but is not fond of higher ranks. He will obey them, but only to a degree; if a command infringes on his moral beliefs, Kit will openly speak against it if safe to do so. Kit especially dislikes condescending authority, and grows easily frustrated if talked down to; he may become snappy if safe to do so.

RESPONSIBLE: When it comes to work, Kit is very responsible and goal-oriented, but can be a bit single minded in his focus. He gets things done when they need to be done, to the best of his ability.

DETERMINED: Kit is a very determined, hard-working individual. He is used to putting in effort and does so completely; Kit is unfamiliar and uncomfortable when handed success without work.

ANTI-ENTITLEMENT: In his peers, Kit dislikes entitlement, selfishness, condescension and snootiness. He believes strongly in equality/equity, and refutes the idea of a person’s quality based upon wealth or status. Kit is easily annoyed when talked down to from such a standpoint.

LACKING SELF-WORTH: Kit lacks a fundamental sense of self-worth. I.e. He may take pride in his ability to persevere and feel confidence on a day-by day. However, on a deeper level, Kit doubts his worth outside of his short- and long-term accomplishments. In other words, Kit defines his self-worth based on his actions and achievements, but questions the value of himself outside of those actions. His experiences with Semira contribute to this doubt.

DAY-TO-DAY PRIDE: Despite this questioning, Kit does have a certain sort of pride about himself based upon his accomplishment. He is proud of his smaller successes and his ability to persevere, and he is proud of what he earns.

BOTTLES IT UP: Emotionally, Kit usually bottles everything up; he generally doesn’t rely on others for emotional support. His counselor (left ambiguous, for now) is the exception to this, as he views it more as medical assistance.

TRAUMA: Though he has much in life to be sensitive over, Kit’s main source of trauma is the death of his past lover, Semira. He has several symptoms of PTSD, though no diagnosis has been made. Corpses are the most concrete trigger of Kit’s symptoms, especially those of women, girls, and others that appear more feminine. Unless he consciously keeps a level head, Kit may shut down completely upon seeing one in-person, and he becomes very uncomfortable seeing them on TV or hearing of them in stories.

DYSLEXIA / READING: Though undiagnosed professionally, Kit is dyslexic. He has a hard time reading long pieces by himself, but does enjoy listening to audio books. He enjoys fiction, mystery, adventure, and young adult elements most; Harry Potter is a good example of his taste. He also enjoys nature- and space-related nonfiction.

PERSEVERING: Kit is not the type to dwell on past or present hardships, and he tries not to worry about future ones. He is a fighter, determined to heal himself and care for his brother.

OPTIMISTIC: Kit can be considered a realistic optimist; he is a dreamer that’s been grounded by his circumstance.

SENSITIVE: Emotionally, Kit is rather sensitive. He is, of course, a strong person by all means, and is able to both hide and overcome the hurt he feels due to slights and loneliness. However, he is, at the end of things, definitely more sensitive than not, whether that sensitivity refers to positive or negative interaction.

POOR EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION: Though deeply affected by his emotions, Kit has a miraculously hard time expressing them, which often leads to internal frustration.

SOCIALLY NERVOUS: A bit nervous in social situations, particularly around those his age. He is also more easily distressed by peer confrontation than other situations. As such, Kit, though extroverted at heart, often prefers some degree of solitude — with Ozzy, that is.

WANTS TO OVERCOME DISTRESS: However, in the spirit of his determination, Kit commonly forces himself into public places, part because Ozzy likes to socialize, and partially because Kit desperately wants to overcome his anxieties. A continuation of that, Kit may put himself in other distressing situations as well, but distress is relative; for example, he may embarrass himself in a crowd, but he won’t subject himself or his brother to something actually dangerous.

STUTTERS: When alone or with Ozzy, Kit speaks rather normally, his words coming to him more easily than not. However, around those he doesn’t know, Kit’s stutter becomes more prominent as he frequently misspeaks and stumbles over his words. The greater his distress, the more pronounced his stutter becomes.

DIFFICULTY WITH FRIENDSHIP: Because of his stuttering, emotional barriers and anxieties, Kit often has a hard time breaking past the initial “acquaintance” status. However, he does genuinely want to bond with others, and often feels isolated when his attempts don’t translate properly.

STRAIGHTFORWARD: In confrontation, Kit is not a passive-aggressive person. If he chooses to confront someone, it is often with prior consideration (unless done in the heat of the moment), and Kit is generally straightforward in his words. He’s a very to-the-point sort of person.

PASSIVE RESPONSE INFO INFO: May passively shut down when faced with certain distressing situations, though his reactions to these situations are on a highly case-by-case basis. If he doesn’t revert to passiveness, Kit often reverts to anger instead.

ANGER INFO: Wrath shows in that Kit gets frustrated, annoyed, overwhelmed, and angry more easily than most. Depending highly on the situation, this anger will either be directed at himself or at those around him. In either case, Kit’s anger involves a lot of inexpressible emotions, stuttering, poor wording and blushing; Kit’s communication issues largely contribute to the growth of his frustrations, and as they grow worse with distress, he is sometimes prone to spiraling.

CONTROLLING ANGER: Immense self-control is required on Kit’s part when his anger becomes outward, something he has been practicing his whole life but still slips up on at times. He usually tries to keep his cool as much as possible, preferring to attempt to express his anger and warn those around him. If all else fails and he begins to grow violent, Kit will usually forcibly remove himself from social situations and take his frustrations out upon inanimate objects until his rage become controllable again.

WORST CASE SCENARIO: Should Kit loose all control over himself and become violent towards his peers, it’s as though a cork comes undone and years of anger come rushing out. Kit won’t stop fighting until he’s stopped or there’s nothing left to fight. This is perhaps the worst effect of his wrath heritage.

LOVES BROTHER: On a more tender note, Kit is strongly committed to his brother, Ozzy, and is his primary caretaker. He takes this very seriously. In most situations, Kit, by nature a more selfless than selfish person, will put Ozzy before himself.

GOOD MORALS: In general, Kit is a good person. Though more adaptable than rigid, he has a few certain unshakable morals. He is a bit rough around the edges, but he is compassionate and kind at his core.

LOVES NATURE: Having grown up without exposure to it, Kit is genuinely mystified by nature and the regularity of earth’s ecosystem. Beyond this, Kit is also amazed by space in this realm, and enjoys stargazing and studying aspects of astronomy. On the other hand, his lack of exposure also left Kit hypersensitive to nature-related allergens, such as pollen and grass. Spring is his worst season.

INSOMNIA: Born from his mixed nocturnal and diurnal heritage, Kit has been saddled with chronic insomnia. When he does sleep, he is usually plagued with vivid nightmares; Kit can’t remember the last time he slept soundly through the entire night. He talks in his sleep, but doesn’t walk. Also, because Ozzy has a similar case of insomnia (also from heritage), he often wanders with Ozzy at night when possible.

HUMOR INFO: Kit’s common humor consists of puns, dad jokes and some snark, though he has flashes of dry and/or black humor. He often laughs at things a bit too long, or sometimes at things that have already passed; needless to say, he’s easily amused. It also serves to note that Kit is very ticklish.

AFFECTED BY HOMELESSNESS: Kit isn’t really used to having a “home,” and is largely still adapting to having a dorm and free food. He has some issues with hoarding, and is still more comfortable with sleeping on the floor than in his bed. Sometimes, when he believes no one is around, Kit may speak to himself as he would a sibling or friend. He never expects an answer; it’s just a coping mechanism.

KEEPS JOURNAL: Kit keeps a journal based on a suggestion from his counselor. He writes frequently, whether that be for trivial things (to-do lists, reminders, plans, etc) or deeper, more emotional expression.

ANTI-DRUGS: Kit dislikes drugs as a concept, and he grows very concerned even at the mention of using — even in reference to relatively benign drugs, such as marijuana. He takes a less affronted stance to alcohol and cigarettes and would not be object to using them eventually, but only in careful moderation.

LOVES MUSIC, LITTLE TALENT: Since coming to earth, Kit has discovered a notable love for classical music, as well as all types of rock, though he can appreciate nearly any genre. Kit can’t sing, himself, but he can whistle like a pro. His only musical talent comes in the form of a specific woodwind instrument, given to him by Semira. The instrument is described below.

FLUTE: This hand-carved object, which he simply refers to as his flute, is long, narrow, and made of dark ashy brown wood. Its range is vast, seeming to adapt to the will of the user. Kit suspects a light enchantment. (This is literally just a flute that can play a lot of notes. It has no other magic abilities.) Kit only knows a few tunes from the End, and has only a roughly mediocre skill.

KICKBOXING: Though he began with only street fighting, upon coming to Manta Carlos, Kit has taken up kickboxing. He is very good at it, feeding off his existing skill in related areas, and is considering moving onto more advanced fighting styles. He’d like to learn some close range weaponry, as well as, perhaps, martial arts.

Though this power directly correlates to Kit’s Wrath heritage, it has been listed as a power as it features completely active effects.

MINOR ABILITIES: Minor uses of this power include heating his body to prevent cold, warming those around him through a transfer of heat, warming foods (heating cups of tea, soup, boiling water, etc), and sparking fires.

MODERATE ABILITIES: More moderate uses include a coating of flames around his hands and streams of fire - up to two, one per hand - that can reach up to 5 meters away. The maximum width of these streams are about 30-40 cm (12-16 in).

Beyond this, Kit can’t really do anything else. He has the potential to become a fully-fledged Avatar-esque firebender (minus the lightning), but only with training.

Though Kit generally has good control over his fire from practice, it does have the potential to backfire on him. Kit may be temperature resistant, but he is not fire resistant.

On earth (or any realm aside from his native hell), Kit can be considered immortal. He will stop aging in his 20s, and he cannot completely die on earth.

Outside his hell, contributing to his immortality, Kit also has a potent regenerative ability. He heals smaller wounds at a visual rate, though the more numerous/critical the wounds, the slower the regeneration works. Should his wounds become too great, Kit is able to “die,” but rather than vanishing, he is reincarnated back in his native sect (the End) of his hell.

Upon reincarnation, Kit would have to find a means to return to earth; he does not have the ability to travel through realms yet, though his NPC brother, Sitsohm, would likely go to retrieve him. Still, this retrieval could take weeks if left to Sitsohm’s devices.

APPEARANCE MODIFICATION: Teeth, claws, horns, tail. Detailed further in the Appearance section.

WARM: Always naturally warmer than most around him. Would seem as though he has a constant fever; actual fevers are painful to the touch

BLUSHING: Blushes easily, perhaps due to excess natural heat. He tends to heat more when passionate as well, and is liable to redden very noticeably. Can’t really control his blushing.

SMOKING: Kit has also been known to smoke and steam when embarrassed, frustrated or angry.

TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE: Inherited in part from his mother, Faemori, and in part from his father, Satan, Kit is highly resistant to temperature. Does feel cold and heat, but not as sensitively as mortals do. Will not suffer any dangerous or life-threatening effects until temperatures are below absolute zero or above boiling. Heat resistance does not mean fire resistance; fire’s temperature is much over the boiling point.

EXORCISM: Outside of “death,” as referenced in his Immortality/Regeneration area of the Powers section, Kit can be forcefully sent to his hell in other ways. These include anti-demonic powers and exorcism.

FULL NAME: Should he be commanded by his given name, Kentaroth, to return to hell, he will be forcefully sent there. This command only works if issued outside his hell and by a nondemon; demonic characters cannot command Kit by name.

HOLY ALLERGIES: Highly allergic to Christian artifacts, which include Bibles, Holy Water, Holy Fire and crosses. Also susceptible to anti-demonic magics, enchantments, charms and spells.

EARTHEN DISEASE IMMUNITY: Finally, on the subject of allergies, Kit is naturally immune to earthen diseases/diseases not targeted specifically towards demons (as well as STDs), outside of nature-related allergies. However, Kit is, in turn, hypersensitive to these (grass, pollen, etc) due to lack of exposure; this was mentioned in the Extra Information area under the Personality section. Kit is regularly susceptible to demonic illnesses.

APPEARANCE MODIFICATIONS: Feathers instead of hair; wings. Detailed in Appearance section.

NIGHT VISION: Passive. Has a hard time seeing at night if bright lights are being used and may need sunglasses.

BEHAVIORS: Has a tendency towards certain owl-like behaviors at times, such as preening (translated as nitpicky hygiene, when afforded the opportunity), clicking sounds and mimicking the owl’s defensive position when threatened/angered/malicious.

SHARP FEATHERS: Feathers become razor sharp when paired with intense anger, violent intent or a strong urge to protect/defend; follows owl’s natural anger pattern in which feathers get thin, wings lay flatter and head feathers stand up stiffly. Edges of wing feathers are sharp, while hairlike feathers are sharp on all sides

AURA: Intimidating Aura (when paired with intensely angry/violent/malicious, or defensive/protective intense) — this aura comes on passively and evokes feelings of fear and intimidation in those within a 10 meter radius. The aura grows stronger with proximity to Kit, as well as with the magnitude of Kit’s intent.

INSOMNIA: Nocturnal owl traits combatted by diurnal wrath traits; averages into chronic insomnia. Detailed in the Extra Information area under the Personality section.

SCREECH: Has the ability to screech — essentially, releasing a very loud, high-pitched call powerful enough to startle those in a 10 meter radius, and stun smaller beings within 1 meter — but rarely if ever uses it. It’s just an odd thing to do, to Kit, and he would only feel normal using it in a desperate situation.

Kit was born to Faemori, a very powerful demoness. He had no relationship with father, Satan (hellion prince; native to alternate hell realm). Details about his world, as well as about Faemori and Satan, will soon be posted in Free For All and linked to this page and Ozzy’s.

Kit had countless siblings, all from equally countless fathers. It was a constant battle for Faemori’s attention and, due to this, there was little love between most siblings. It was the ultimate sibling rivalry. Fights often ended in bloodshed if not death, with the weakest actually eaten by other siblings or Faemori herself.

After his first few youngest years, Kit began to be raised by Sitsohm, his 17 year old half-brother by an unknown sire. Though Sitsohm attempted distance between he and Kentaroth, Kentaroth was determined to get closer to his caretaker, and Sitsohm eventually gave in.

Sitsohm, thin and sickly as he was, escaped death through wit and craftiness. He became a scholar, historian, and took Kentaroth’s education - both academic and street - upon himself. It was through Sitsohm that Kentaroth learned English, though why, he never understood.

When Kentaroth was about nine years old, Sitsohm disappeared. Due to the high death rates amongst Faemori’s children, he was assumed dead, if not consumed by siblings than by Faemori herself.

Less than three months after Sitsohm’s disappearance, Kentaroth was assigned to newborn Ozrael, his ½ wrath and, thus, fully-blood brother. They were supervised and assisted by other caretaking siblings, but Kentaroth was the only permanent caretaker. He had to learn, very quickly, how to care for others.

Kentaroth bonded immediately to Ozrael, as he still felt the sting of Sitsohm’s disappearance and saw much of himself in Ozrael.

When Kentaroth was 12 ¾, and Ozrael was 3 ½, a massive war broke out amongst the siblings. The strongest began slaughtering the weakest mindlessly, and Faemori allowed this to occur. As Kentaroth and Ozrael were near the bottom of the hierarchy, they were targeted, and so Kentaroth fled with Ozrael out of their large estate. They were forgotten about and assumed dead in the scuffle.

Kentaroth and Ozrael were thus homeless, with Kentaroth having to grow up more and more quickly due to his newfound hardships and responsibilities. When possible, he found work mining, moving stones, or what odd jobs he could get in town. The money they had was used towards food, toddler supplies and clothing. However, within only a few months, they both were on the verge of death.

At around age 13, however, only months after leaving the estate, Kentaroth met a demoness named Semira. She was a year older than he at 14, and, as he found out later, a distance relative of the serpentine demoness Damamae. However, despite her rank, she, too, had fallen upon hard times and was without a home or family. Nevertheless, Semira had a cave big enough for three as her means of shelter, and she had a small stock of food, cloth and medicine between rationing and petty theft. Semira offered help to Kentaroth and Ozrael, and with no other means of survival, they took it.

After joining with Semira, life got somewhat easier for Kentaroth. He was able to work without keeping a constant watch on Ozrael, and Semira’s existing supplies was enough to survive off of while Kentaroth worked for the money to buy more.

It was Semira who gave Kentaroth his nickname, Kit. As life progressed, he began to identify by this name.

Semira and Kit, too, grew closer and closer as time went on. Only six months after meeting originally, they had begun a relationship. Kit was about 13 ¾ at the time of their relationship’s beginning; about a year had passed since he left the estate with Ozrael.

By the time Kit was about 14, his relationship with Semira had become intimate.

At the age of about 14 ½, Kit, Semira and Ozzy were kicked out of their cave by equally desperate, but notably stronger, demons. From here, they were forced to cycle through other homes, sometimes small caves, sometimes spare rooms in the homes of others, sometimes in makeshift stone shacks amidst a horde of other homeless demons. With the danger of the End the most pronounced it had ever been for Kit, he learned to sleep lightly, if he ever slept at all. Many times they were jumped, hurt and robbed by others on the streets.

And, as though their situation was not already dire… About 3 months after Kit was kicked from his cave, Semira became pregnant with a child. He was going to be a father.

It is important to note that Kit’s relationship with Semira was very unhealthy. He loved her deeply, earnestly, but perhaps too dependently; she and Ozzy were all he had. Meanwhile, Semira was eccentric and unstable emotionally, with mood swings and a tendency towards obsession.

Kit easily became the object of this obsession, and, though a part of Semira may have loved Kit, most of her feelings were characterized by infatuation and intensity. She was also fond of the victim card, and though she recognized her emotional issues, Semira was convinced that she needed to be saved and could no longer help herself. Almost encouraging her own tendency towards bad decision, Semira obsessed over this conviction as she did Kit, openly stating she expected him to save her on many, many occasions. In reality, Kit was more the victim in the relationship, but he never realized it at all.

Even today, Kit remains convinced that their relationship was normal and appropriate, fundamentally unaware of how normal relationships (romantic or otherwise) are supposed to work in reference to abuse and manipulation.

After the pregnancy was made known, Kit became more determined and hardworking than he ever had in his life. He didn’t dare to consider the hardship of Semira’s condition; his only focus was on creating the best life he could for his child and his existing family.

However, the news hit Semira in a much more negative way. Though the first month or two were spent in an idealistic, fantasy-infused “honeymoon phase,” time quickly grounded her, and she realized the depth of her situation. She didn’t know how to deal with the weight of her condition, and was incredibly prone to dwelling and rash decision-making. Erratic and unstable as she was, she took first to drink, then to drugs, going as far as stealing their money in order to get her fixes. Semira was spiraling down a rabbit hole of bad decisions, while Kit was fighting, fighting as hard as he could to keep her afloat.

No matter what Semira did, Kit was convinced it was his job to save her. And he tried. He tried…

But when he was 15 ¼ years old, roughly 6-7 months after Semira became pregnant, she overdosed. Kit was on a job at the time and unable to help her. He had failed. He had failed to save Semira, and in effect, his child had died as well.

After the loss of Semira, Kit went into a state of half-shock that still lingers today. She was half of his entire world, and their baby… Kit didn’t know what to do. With half of himself in a constant state of grievance, and the other half barely able to process his losses, Kit threw himself into his duties. When he wasn’t working (or, as it was now necessary, stealing), Kit was spending every second with Ozzy. He taught him what he remembered of his academics and his English, just as Sitsohm taught him, and he told Ozzy all he’d learned about how to navigate in a world as dangerous as the End.

Through it all, they made it, but barely. Life was harder than it had been in a long time, without Semira’s help. Kit tried. He really did. He kept trying, harder and harder, and it worked, it did, for a while. But about five months after Semira’s death, the weight of his grief really began to tug on him, and Kit’s hard stance began to falter.

This time, Kit’s savior was not a girl, but a man… A man whom Kit had never expected to see again. He remembers walking with Ozzy, looking for a place to spend the night during a particularly house-ravenous period in the End, when none other than Sitsohm - decidedly older, of course - caught him by surprise. Sitsohm tugged Kit and Ozzy unceremoniously into an alley, ignoring Kit’s blubbering questions as he flew through incantations. Suddenly, Kit’s questions died as Sitsohm took his and Ozzy’s hand - forcefully, as Kit was still quite shaken - and made the world around them melt away.

When Kit came too, he was lying next to Sitsohm and Ozzy in a grassy meadow, something that he had never seen before. Sitsohm explained himself, then. He had never meant to leave Kit in the hands of their mother, but had he announced his plans, he likely would have been stopped. Sitsohm, ever the scholar he was, had been secretly studying the practice of realm-jumping — that is, creating portals between realms and traveling through them. He had chosen Earth as his place of choice, as it was the easiest portal he could muster without transporting himself to another sect of their same hell. He had planned, originally, to take Kit with him, but due to a weakness in his power he could only transport himself.

So, though it pained him, Sitsohm escaped the End and established himself on Earth. He was found by a scout for Starlight Academy and attended there. During his time at the Academy, he received word from an informational source that Kit had died in the massive sibling war, and assumed there was no longer any going back for him. He focused, instead on his studies.

After graduating with honors, Sitsohm moved into a career of demon-centered social activism. He traveled realms, assisting demons in pursuits for liberation, education and better lives. He also spread awareness about demonic cultures, attempting to raise a bit of the stigma surrounding his species.

Eventually, Sitsohm made a plan to return to the End temporarily, hoping to work with the residents there a bit as well; he knew from experience that if anywhere needed saving, it was his native country. A few days after arriving, he overheard a group of demons at a bar that described a young demon seen nearby. The description fit what he remembered of Kentaroth, and the age bracket fit, and so he did some digging. The demon’s name was Kit… Which, to Sitsohm, sounded close enough to Kentaroth to prompt and investigation.

He spent about a week searching for Kit before he found him alongside Ozzy. With no one around and the chance as good as any, Sitsohm lept into action and immediately transported Ozzy and Kit to Earth. He had fulfilled the promise he made to himself all those years ago.

After explaining all this to Kit, Sitsohm described Starlight Academy and Manta Carlos. Though he had to return to his job, he promised to visit from time to time, and offered to give Kit and Ozzy a lift to the Academy. Too stunned by everything to really say no at that point, Kit accepted the offer, and so Sitsohm helped them to register there.
