Ozrael (Ozzy)

Though this power directly correlates to Ozzy’s Wrath heritage, it has been listed as a power as it features completely active effects.

MINOR ABILITIES: Minor uses of this power include heating his body to prevent cold, warming those around him through a transfer of heat, warming foods (heating cups of tea, soup, boiling water, etc), and sparking fires.

Beyond this, Ozzy can’t really do anything else. He has the potential to become a fully-fledged Avatar-esque firebender (minus the lightning), but only with training.

Furthermore, Ozzy’s powers are prone to malfunction due to his young age. Blips and backfires are common.

On earth (or any realm aside from his native hell), Ozzy can be considered immortal. He will stop aging in his 20s, and he cannot completely die on earth.

Outside his hell, contributing to his immortality, Ozzy also has a potent regenerative ability. He heals smaller wounds at a visual rate, though the more numerous/critical the wounds, the slower the regeneration works. Should his wounds become too great, Ozzy is able to “die,” but rather than vanishing, he is reincarnated back in his native sect (the End) of his hell.

Upon reincarnation, Ozzy would have to find a means to return to earth; he does not have the ability to travel through realms yet, though his NPC brother, Sitsohm, would likely go to retrieve him. Still, this retrieval could take weeks if left to Sitsohm’s devices.

APPEARANCE MODIFICATION: Teeth, claws, horns, tail. Detailed further in the Appearance section.

WARM: Always naturally warmer than most around him. Would seem as though he has a constant fever; actual fevers are painful to the touch

BLUSHING: Blushes easily, perhaps due to excess natural heat. He tends to heat more when passionate as well, and is liable to redden very noticeably. Can’t really control his blushing.

SMOKING: Ozzy has also been known to smoke and steam when embarrassed, frustrated or angry.

TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE: Inherited in part from his mother, Faemori, and in part from his father, Satan, Ozzy is highly resistant to temperature. Does feel cold and heat, but not as sensitively as mortals do. Will not suffer any dangerous or life-threatening effects until temperatures are below absolute zero or above boiling. Heat resistance does not mean fire resistance; fire’s temperature is much over the boiling point.

EXORCISM: Outside of “death,” as referenced in his Immortality/Regeneration area of the Powers section, Ozzy can be forcefully sent to his hell in other ways. These include anti-demonic powers and exorcism.

FULL NAME: Should he be commanded by his given name, Ozrael, to return to hell, he will be forcefully sent there. This command only works if issued outside his hell and by a nondemon; demonic characters cannot command Ozzy by name.

HOLY ALLERGIES: Highly allergic to Christian artifacts, which include Bibles, Holy Water, Holy Fire and crosses. Also susceptible to anti-demonic magics, enchantments, charms and spells.

EARTHEN DISEASE IMMUNITY: Finally, on the subject of allergies, Ozzy is naturally immune to earthen diseases/diseases not targeted specifically towards demons (as well as STDs), outside of nature-related allergies. However, Ozzy is, in turn, hypersensitive to these (grass, pollen, etc) due to lack of exposure.

APPEARANCE MODIFICATIONS: Feathers instead of hair; wings. Detailed in Appearance section.

NIGHT VISION: Passive. Has a hard time seeing at night if bright lights are being used and may need sunglasses.

BEHAVIORS: Has a tendency towards certain owl-like behaviors at times, such as preening (translated as nitpicky hygiene, when afforded the opportunity), clicking sounds and mimicking the owl’s defensive position when threatened/angered/malicious.

SHARP FEATHERS: Feathers become razor sharp when paired with intense anger, violent intent or a strong urge to protect/defend; follows owl’s natural anger pattern in which feathers get thin, wings lay flatter and head feathers stand up stiffly. Edges of wing feathers are sharp, while hairlike feathers are sharp on all sides

AURA: Intimidating Aura (when paired with intensely angry/violent/malicious, or defensive/protective intense) — this aura, if it was at it’s full strength, would come on passively and evoke feelings of fear and intimidation in those within a 10 meter radius. However, as Ozzy is 6, round, and delightfully adorable, this power is completely impotent to anyone over the mental age of about 9. Though 9 and under may be affected, those above the age bracket would just find it all cute. In other words, the power has the opposite effect, and just enhances his cuteness.

INSOMNIA: Nocturnal owl traits combatted by diurnal wrath traits; averages into chronic insomnia.

SCREECH: Has the ability to screech — essentially, releasing a very loud, high-pitched call powerful enough to startle those in a 10 meter radius, and stun smaller beings within 1 meter — but the potency is lacking due to his young age. The startle-effect stands for those under the mental age of about 10, but above that mental age, it’s really just obnoxious.

• Born to Faemori and Satan. Never knew father. Native sect of hell known as “the End”

• Kit was assigned to him only a few months after his (Ozzy’s) hatching

• Bonded very quickly to Kit

• Left with brother during the sibling war; Kit was 12 ¾, Ozzy was 3 ¼.

• Homeless for a while. He and Kit moved in with Semira; Kit and Semira began a relationship

• Often spent time with Semira when Kit was away working. Bonded with her, but not nearly as closely as he did with Kit. He got jealous of her closeness with Kit often, actually, but less in a Semira-like obsessive way and more in an angsty-sibling way.

• They got kicked out of their cave and stuck with all the bad people on the street. Not everyone was bad, of course, but a bunch were. Life was hard.

• Semira became pregnant; Ozzy didn’t really understand the long-term implications of this, but he was both excited and jealous of the baby, and of the extra attention Kit was paying work and Semira instead.

• Semira died. For all Ozzy was jealous of her at times, he loved her too, and he was sad with Kit. He was even sadder when Kit told him that meant the baby died too, though he wasn’t as sad because he’d never really met the baby.

• Life was really hard. He got really worried about Kit sometimes; he seemed sad and not okay.

• Then he met Sitsohm. A lot of the dynamics of Sitsohm’s plans, Ozzy didn’t really understand, but he thought Sitsohm was nerdy and rad, and he was excited to see grass for the first time.

• Then they went to Starlight Academy, which was super mega ultra rad, and got a home with Kit. And that’s that.
