Name: Katherine "Kat" Rose Jones
Age: Physically: 18 Mentally: 18
Birthday: November 6.
Gender: Cisgendered female. Panromantic/Asexual
Species: Vampre
Category: Student
Class: College
Grade: College freshmen.
College Major: Art
Appearance Description:
Kat is what many would consider to be a "very pretty girl". Wavy, honey blonde hair falls past her shoulders and is usually slightly mussed, hazel eyes are fringed with thick, onyx lashes- complimented by high cheek bones and full, pink lips. She is lithe and petite, with an hour glass figure. On a casual day, she can be found in jeans and whatever top is appropriate for the weather. However, being a frequent on the club scene, she is often found in cocktail dresses, and various other vestiments of party attire.
Leather and lace make a frequent appearance in her wardrobe, as do several other "punk" and "scene" inspired looks. On rare occasion, she can be found in a gown in pearls, should the occasion call for it. Her olive toned skin has paled a bit since becoming a vampire, and she often wears make up to compensate.
Personality Description:
Katherine was always a lover of the arts, and once was such the optimist and dreamer it wasn't all that uncommon for her to referred to as having her head in the clouds. However, since being sired she has taken on a bit of a darker nature. She still holds many of her fun loving, party girl tendencies. She's confident, poised, and exceptionally adept at navigating social situations. At her best, she is charming and charismatic, with a perceptive eye and excellent abiltiy to empathize. At her worst, she is manipulative, selfish, short tempered, and even a bit violent and predatory.
She is slow to trust, and often puts on airs around those she doesn't know well to avoid appearing vulnerable. Kat has come, in the short time she's been a vampire to understand that she is, indeed, a monster. Now, it's just to figure out if she's going to resist it, or if she'll say "screw it" and decide that if she's going to be a monster, she may as well do it right.
Short overlook:
+Confident
+Empathetic
+Social
+Charismatic
+Fun loving.
+\- Flirty.
-Manipulative
-Short tempered
-Prone to violence
-Borderlines on predatory- especially when it comes to feeding.
-Trust issues
Species Abilities:
+Superhuman Healing- Vampires heal at an incredibly rate compared to humans.
+Immortal - Vampires are technically dead, and as such are immortal. This isn't to say they are invulnerable. They can be killed. They simply won't die of age.
+Unearthly beauty - What pretty teeth you have, sweetie. Why, all the better to eat you with, my dear. The perfectly sculpted features of a vampire, the honeyed scent, the magnetic pull of a creature so inhumanly beautiful is all to help lure in prey.
+Superhuman senses - To better hunt, vampires have heightened senses.
+Superhuman strength/dexterity - Vampires are supernaturally strong, fast, and agile. Being young, Kat can only lift up about four times what the average human can.
+Retractable assets - They have retractable fangs and claws. Gotta blend with the herd.
+Blood magic - Being undead has its perks. This happens to be one.
-Sun sensitivity - Vampires are weak to sunlight, and will get weaker in it. Prolonged exposure could even kill them. For Kat, even only a minute in sunlight could be fatal.
-Being staked - Shot through the heart, and you're to blame! Alright, in all seriousness, though. Anything sharp and pointy through the heart is bad news for a vampire.
-Being beheaded - Even being dead doesn't save you there.
-Weakness to fire - Incineration is bad news for a vampire. Fire not only causes severe damage to her, but can cause her to fear frenzy.
-Nocturnal - Vampires, being sensitive to sunlight, prefer to stick to the darker hours.
-Territorial - Vampires can easily be incited to fight over territory, position, etc. Trying to resist defending her hunting grounds is extremely difficult- even if she logically knows she's outmatched.
-Hangry - Vampires, while they don't need to feed as often as humans, can fall into a frenzy if they go too long without feeding.
-Elaboration on frenzy- Frenzying occurs in response to hunger, fear, or anger. During Frenzy, Kat loses her ability to make higher judgements. i.e. If she frenzies due to hunger, she will only focus on feeding. It will not matter if she kills her victim in that moment. Fear frenzy- she will only focus on fleeing from the source of her fear. You get the idea.
-Light blindness - Being exposed to sudden sunlight, or something of a similar caliber (sun magic, etc.) will stun her and render her blind for about 15-30 seconds.
-Obsession - If Kat sees a piece of modern art, she is compelled to begin vehemently ranting and criticizing it. To the point she will not realize there is imminent danger. She can be shaken from this state, but it takes considerable effort.
-Dependent - If Kat feeds on a human, or another vampire, more than once, she runs the risk of becoming addicted to their blood. She is still able to feed on others, but will not get satisfaction from it, nor will it sustain her as well.
-You want me to eat, what? - Kat cannot feed on animals. In fact, if she tries, she will vomit up what she tried to consume.
-Fuel - All of Kat's powers run off the blood in her system. The hungrier she gets, the weaker her powers are as well as the more of a risk of Frenzying she runs. As a result, she needs to feed more often than most vampires.
-Identifying - Kat does not show up in any videos, pictures, mirrors, etc. Why is this bad? Well. When you're a monster, people want to hunt you. It's a fairly damning sign.
Powers:
Now you see me, now you don't. : Kat can use this ability to do one of a few things, but all of them have something in common- they conceal her presence. With little effort, she can blend in with the crowd. People will see what they would expect to. i.e. At a party, they will see a party goer, at the park they may see a jogger or birds, etc. With a bit more effort, she can make herself pace without a trace (footprints, scent, etc.)- even becoming difficult to track through supernatural means. If she puts in a considerable amount of effort, resources, and energy, she can turn invisible and be near silent and scentless. This can only be done for short periods of time, and takes considerable resources and energy to use. As such, Kat doesn't do it often.
Vainglory : Drawing in your prey is more than just a pretty face. First, Kat has supernatural allure beyond that of most vampires, which makes people, usually fairly receptive to engaging socially with her. Second, her bite actually feels good and is painless. Third, if she either spends a lot of time with a human, or spends a considerable amount of her own energy, she can temporarily enthrall them to her. This means they'll generally be happy to do most things for her so long as it doesn't violate their morals or character. Fourth, sometimes beauty is terrifying. By engaging in brief social interactions and making direct eye contact, she can make most mortals cower in supernatural fear. Fourth, she can project the force of her personality to not only commmand the attention of a room, but gain control over it. While not quite the same level of control as a thrall, she most will be pretty happy to do tasks that don't inconvenience them.
Biography:
-Had a fairly normal childhood and upbringing in a middle class family.
-Went off to college.
-Applied to get her work featured in a gallery. She specialized in chiascuro. which is extremely difficult. Ended up losing the opportunity to a Modern artist who put a single dot on the page, as well as the grant money, etc. that came with it.
-Snuck into a bar, lamenting at her loss to "that damn Daniel and his spots". This is where she met Victor.
-They went back to Victor's place, and he sired her.
-Resented Victor, and took off.
-Ended up finding out about Starlight Academy and enrolling. Currently struggling with her current condition.
Additional Information: She does have siblings, whom she has not spoken to in months. As far as her family is concerned, she is missing. Also, her powers can absolutely be resisted and are, by no means, autohits. Please feel free to say they were shaken off.
