Kaitlyn is almost five feet but not quite, and though she thinks she's pretty tall, she still looks really small compared to the people around her. She has long blonde hair that falls just to her butt in a cascade of curls. She had hoped that eventually as she got older her hair would've straightened out but it hadn't. Instead it got thicker and harder to manage, so she rarely straightens it. Even if her hair is hard to managed it's never seen anything less than perfect. She cares very much about her appearance and it shows. She has mastered the art of doing what she needs to do but never wrinkling or messing up her clothes. She never has a wrinkle, smudge or stain on her clothes and she would quite literally freak out if she did.
Kaitlyn has big baby blue eyes that seem overly huge but at the same time fit her face perfectly. They tend to water when she's sad to the point to where it's possible to think she's crying, even though she never really cries. She has somewhat of a cute button nose but she refuses to see that it, she doesn't like people commenting on how her nose looks. Her lips are slightly plump and perfectly heart shaped. She has small freckles dotted across her nose and a few slightly unnoticeable one on her cheek. She does have dimples when she smiles.... which she rarely does.
Kaitly is at the phase in her life where she is just entering puberty, her hips have filled out slightly leaving her an awkward shape as she's still coming into her curves. She is still very much lanky with a flat chest that she's dreading filling out. She's taking to wearing training bra's as she's read that this was the time in her life to start wearing them.
Kaitlyn's dress style can be determined by how she feels that day though she's the type of girl that loves flowery print, frills, skirts, dresses and block heels. She can be seen wearing sneakers when she's doing sports or taking hikes. She always has a bow in her hair that matches what she's wearing. When she's feeling moody or kinda down her wardrobe is somewhat agressive, though still on the girlie side she's very confident and proud of the the way she looks, even with her preteen awkwardness about her body.

While Kaitlyn has had time to mature from the sort of, in the moment do what she wants and get upset when she doesn't get her way attitude she hasn't changed that much. She is a lot more paitent but she's just as cynical and mistrusting as she was when she first moved to the island. The only person she can honestly say she trust is her dad Charlie and even then she has the tendency to be secretive and keep her issues to herself. She's still very much a business type person though she has moved on from lemonade stands, girl scout domination, and monkey butler mafia's she's still pretty much always looking for a profit. Kaitlyn has actually managed to save a lot of the money she made from all the schemes when she was younger so right now she's focusing on learning as much as she can.
Kaitlyn on the outside is a very cynical, monotonous person. She could be confused for apathetic but in actuality she's just not comfortable being herself around people outside of her family..which only includes her and her dad. She can be seen carrying around books like art of war, or books on mythology and historical era's like the middle ages and the rennisance. She's very artistic and does enjoy art though she doesn't show anyone her art anymore as it's become much more personal than it was when she was younger. Even though she dresses very girlie she is a bit of a tomboy. She enjoys climbing trees, fighting, skateboarding, snowboard, rollerskating, and parkour. Kaitlyn has grown out of her violent stage she was in when she was younger due to her being able to control her anger a lot of better. She doesn't really care about things that much to get angry over them. The most she really waste on people is irrirtation to mild annoyance.
On the inside, on the rare chance that she opens up to someone she's actually a very vibrant person. Due to her powers Kaitlyn suffers from Two forms of synesthesia called: Chrommesthesia, and Spatial Sequence Synesthesia. The only three people who know this besides her are Charlie and the school, and the person who diganosed her, just because she doesnt have many people to tell. Her world is an explosion of colors and she's very creative she just doesn't think anyone would want to stick around and find out.

Kaitlyn has the ability to shape, create, and manipulate ink. Mean she can move it around (much like water bending) Change the color,write with it and change it from a solid to a liquid, etc. At the moment she's having an easier time manipuating ink she's created than ink inside pens she's broken. At the moment she can only create a 8 - 16 fl oz of ink, without getting incredibly exhusted. She also is having hard time changing ink back to liquid after she'd made it solid , and also changing the color is really easy for her. At the moment she can only really moved the ink a a few feet off the ground before it gets incredibly difficult for her.
Project Thermopathy- Kaitlyn can use her ability to write without actually using a writing, though this takes emense amount of concentration that she doesn't have yet and she has only managed to do it once.

Kaitlyn has the ability to manke objects out ink by completeing a three step proccess. Firstly she had to focus on the object and get all the details, and the she has to focus on the ink forming into said object, and lastly she has to actually push her magic to shaping the object. At the moment these objects last for up to an hour and she cannot make incredibly complex things due to her concentration and focus being off. The most complex thing should could make would be a gun that actually shoots bullets, only the bullets would be more ink blobs unless she actually makes the bullets as well. Her constructs are fairly the small thing biggest thing she can manage is something half her height.

All of these things were focused around the fact that they would be punished by god if they did anything wrong. They shunned anything not normal, weird, or things they didn't understand. They went to church three times a week and prayed everyday hoping that it would put them in god's favor. When they conceived a child it was the happiest day of their life, until she opened her eyes to show incredibly bright baby blue eyes.
With both of them have brown eyes it lead to talk amongst the church members who saw them. Though the excuse of both of them having a parent with blue or green eyes was taken...there was something off about the color of Kaitlyn's eyes. Kaitlyn had received the same magical gene that her father's grandmother had, only she had passed away when he was a young boy. As she grew older the gene tried to assert itself and it caused weird things to happen.
When she was three things got worse, she was able to make her stuffed animal float in the air and her toys would move about while she slept in bed, her parents started to fear what the neighbors would think so they lied and said she was sickly. Though at home they were cruel and called her things like demon child or demon under their breath when she was around. They avoided her only paying her attention to make sure she was presentable and fed. When things happened as a result of her magic trying to settle into a gift her parents would yell at her, until she started suppressing it.
Which lead to the development of her power, instead of it just naturally flowing through her it built up until it basically leaked out into the first thing she touched, which happened to be the ink in a set of her fathers markers. Her magic gave her the ability to animate the ink into things for her to play with. Though the would only last for ten minutes at time she had no problem with drawing the things.
Since her parents were never around she was left to her own devices drawing things like toys or small stuffed animals . Though the drawings were always lopsided and drawn to look worn, they would disappear before her parents could come home and find them. Though one day when she was five her mother happened to walk in on her using her powers and they, immediately took her to the church to try and get her exorcised. Though they realized when they caught her the second time the exorcism didn't work they dropped her off at a strict catholic orphanage hoping that whoever adopted her would be able to put up with such a abnormal thing they however would not. Her parents had another child a few months later, one with beautiful normal brown eyes and no magic what so ever.
At the orphanage Kaitlyn was scared and miserable, she was smart for her age and realized that her abilities had caused her parents distress but she didn't understand why they would just leave her in a strange place. The matron of the orphanage explained that they didn't want her anymore. A few months at the orphanage, and a few unintentional displays of her power and she received a letter from the academy. The matron jumped at the chance to send her away and she was eventually enrolled in both there orphanage and elementary school on the island. Thing were tough at first because she wasn't used to being around children or considered normal.
The orphanage wasn't that bad but she had gotten used to the idea of being alone and unwanted because she was different. The way she dealt with it was art, she was always making something, like key chains, hair bows, flowers, and selling them. She kind of got addicted to having money for candy and such. It turned her into sort of a business woman, she wanted to have all the things she saw kids with family have so she strived to get that. Even though her morals were a bit shakey and she struggled with what she was told was wrong and what she thought was wrong. She eventually found a balance, she had met Charlie underwood while selling cookies and he later adopted her.
Living with Charlie was probably the best thing that could've happened to her, it didn't change her behavior or her attitude but it did prevent it from getting worse. She opened up to him little by little and eventually she learned that she could tell him anything. The biggest milestone she reached when was when she was nine. She had taken up caliagraphy and using ink wells and pens, she found she could manipulate ink. With Charlie encouraging her to use her abilities over the year she learned that her abilities were ink based and drawing was a way for her to channel her abilties, she is working on channeling her abilties without the markers or pens.
