While he saw members of his family at school, and of course community events, Rufus rarely actually visited the Rosales family at their home. Today was different however, it was rare for him to just do something at the spur of the moment. Rufus Angelus was an eighteen year old who generally stuck to rigorous schedules. Even his down time was carefully planned out ahead of time so that it would be as productive and cathartic as it possibly could be. To many it made him seem stuffy and rigid, but in spite of these plans he'd leave plenty of room for flexibility.

He was about to approach the door when he caught a figure out of the corner of his eye. Normally he would write it off as security, however they were acting shifty and rather suspicious. Were they supposed to be here? Or rather, were they allowed to be here? He wasn't a fan of stalkers, especially in light of his younger relatives. And of course his own personal life, stalkers usually turned out to be assassins. He exhaled, hardening his skin as he approached the suspicious figure.

"Excuse me, are you lost?" he stood a distance away from them, but was still close enough they could hear him.

This was a stupid plan.

Invdia was sure as herself that she wasn't a good planner but this was yet one of the least brighter ones she'd made. It's been weeks since the VR and also since the rally when Shay managed to catch her. Okay, that wasn't the right way to put it but she couldn't think of the right things right now apparently. Shay gave her contact numbers but she didn't feel like she could suddenly just ring up the Rosales like she had been a close friend since forever. Sure, she could remember the memories growing up with these people in the game but that wasn't even real.

She had been pacing restlessly since where, trying not to be seen in case she wanted to back the hell out and make a run for it. She didn't even consider anyone else spotting her from outside that she almost screamed when a voice spoke to her. She couldn't stop a squeak sounding out though.

Stiffly turning to face the speaker, she waved her hand awkwardly, while the other was just tucked close to her chest. "O-oh, hi there!" she stammered, trying to keep a casual tone to her voice, "I-I er... was just p-passing by! Yeah. Not... not lost at all." She could bet she wasn't nearly as convincing enough.

Rufus, simply eyed the other demon, he eyebrow rising as he listened to her. Frankly, he wasn't sure what to make of this turn of events. She seemed harmless enough, at least not outwardly malicious. Still this was rather unbecoming behavior, in his eyes. If she was an affiliate she was more than welcome to visit with the family. He pondered what to say, aside from her lie being a bad one. At this point the truth would work out better for her. He wasn't just going to let her run off either. "That was bad," came his response.

He ran his fingers through his hair. This was not going according to plan at all. Why was she really here? Rufus would tell her he wasn't judging her, but he was judging the hell out of her, all nine of them in fact. "What's your name? Do you know who lives here?" maybe he'd heard her name in passing, that would give him some clarity on where to go from there.

Invidia didn't need to stare back at the other demon to know that his eyes were on her, like she was studing her. She could have the nerve to call him out for this but she wasn't really feeling pretty confident in herself to stand up straight to look at him, much less actually say something so upfront.

She at least managed a really wry smile and a rather nervous chuckle. "Y-yeah, I guess it was," she muttered, rather lamely. She wrapped her arms around herself, rolling one shoulder as she fored herself to look up to the demon interrogating her. She tried combing through her memories just if she'd ever seen him but no sense of familiarity ever came to her. He didn't seem like he was hostile, but neither did it sound like he would let her off without any explanation.

She gave a sigh (which was more of a short exhale than anything). "The name's Invidia," she began, managing to without a stutter but she seemed to find it hard to look for the next words she was needed to say. Unconsciously, her gaze snapped back to the house, seeming a little anxious before turning back to her company. "A-and of course I know who's lives here. Do I look like some person who just lurks at random houses?" Invidia seemed to catch herself after the words tumbled out, finding that was, most definitely, not the right quite words to say. She looked kinda half-way mortified when she corredted herself. "I was gonna try to see if I could catch Shay here but I realized this was not the best Idea."
