The birthday party for his daughter had just wrapped up, and all the guests had gone home. Donny stood in the middle of the room with his signature grin still smeared across his face. The grin that was a definite tell that he had something up his sleeve still. He had given her a fat wad of cash, a sword that only she could wield if it weren't so damn heavy, and several other things he knew she had her eye on. On top of that, there were the gifts that the guests had brought her as well. But, going back to the sword, there was a second part to that gift that he was waiting to unveil for her. He left a note on its hilt that simply read, "Part 1 of 2" and signed with a smiley face with a pair of horns on it.

A layered surprise was the best kind of surprise. Though he did leave a vague hint with the smiley face on the note. Donny moved to a somewhat blocked off section of the work shop turned party room and deactivated the wards he'd placed there revealing a unique pod. This was his conversion chamber that he'd spent months sweating over. All in preparation for today, his daughter's birthday. He thought back to the night he found her wandering the streets. She'd come a long way since then. She was a normal kid if it weren't for the shot immune system or (arguably) her status as undead. This chamber with a few drops of his blood and a week of incubation would fix all of that though.

He leaned against it, still smirking and waiting for Alice to come to him.

Papa was definitely crafty! He planned a surprise party behind her back and kept it well hidden. She was hoping that she would figure out what he was doing, but he was too good. Someday she would be on his level. The girl was confident in this. Now as for her gifts, there were quite a lot. That Rosales guy sure did go ham....she was grateful for all of the items brought to her as a present. However, Papa's presents baffled her. Okay, she could probably figure out what to do with the cash, but why was the sword marked in such a way?

The bio-android scrambled over to the arms dealer. She opened her mouth to ask about the sword, but then froze as he saw the pod. Her red eyes stared at it. What was it? What would it do? She tilted her head left and right trying to see every nook and cranny of it. What was Papa planning? She didn't quite process that this was a demon incubation chamber yet. She was never really given the details of demonization. She remembered how she asked for it though in her frustration over her horrid health. She couldn't stand being in this eternally sick hell.

"Papa...what is this?"

She asked. Her curiosity swelled; was this the next part?

The demon's smirk only grew as he watched the girl examine the pod. He was waiting for her to put the pieces together. She was sharp and with proper guidance might even blow past his level over time. He wondered just how far and high she would soar. She finally asked him so he figured he would just level with her and tell her.

"Well, a few months ago you asked me what it wouldtake to be a demon like me. You could say I've taken that question rather seriously and this pod is the answer."

He lightly patted the device as he spoke. If nothing else, Donny was a man of unknowable means, many secrets lay hidden within his shop and only he knew all of them. The types of things that could only be accumulated over many centuries. From the demonic perspective, making his pupil into a demon like him would be a logical step in the initial process to passing the torch. Having a body that was fit enough to carry the torch was important. But Alice was no mere pupil, she was his daughter, and as his daughter he only wanted her to have the very best. He could have simply taken her to a specialist to restore her immune system but that didn't change the fact that she would be stuck in that undead body for the rest of her life. A full demonic conversion would give her much more of a chance at having a truly happy life.

"Of course, if you need time to think about it there's plenty. This thing's not going anywhere. I will say the process will take about a week during which, you'll be in a deep sleep. Like a fairy tale princess only you wake up ready to kick ass."

The excitement was too much to bear; Alice interrupted Donny just as he was about to mention the option of waiting.

"How do I climb in?"

She was ready. She didn't need to wait or consider her options; she wanted to jump right into the machine and get rid of her undead body. This needed to happen now. The teen scurried over to the pod and gently clawed at the door. While a bit nervous about climbing into a metallic device, she trusted her Papa enough for things to not go wrong. He wouldn't do what those horrible scientists did to her. He wouldn't dare.

Her attention shifted to the nearby console, and she scurried over to see if she could mess with it. She tried reading the various buttons so that she could figure out what to do. She found what appeared to be a button to open the door and pressed it. Quiet rumbling hit her ears as the pod began to function. The demonization device was now open. The bio-android tip-toed back over to look inside. Her eyes gazed back at Papa. An eager grin spread across her face. Clearly she was waiting for some kind of signal or something.

Evidently she'd made up her mind as she went to try to open the device and hop in all on her own. His signature smirk crossed his face as he watched her mess with the control console. She couldn't really mess anything up. She did however manage to pop the door to the device open. He'd have to take time to show her the finer workings of the craft later. The fact that she would be a demon soon would open her up to a whole new world of possibility. And he was more than ready to teach her everything he knew for it.

"You're gonna be a little groggy when you come out. The process should take about a week. So It's gonna get a little boring without your added snark, Kiddo."

He gave her a tight hug and gestured to the machine. Queen, their pet kangaroo hopped in and extended a paw for her to bump. She was there see Alice off as well. Between the two of them, Kihaku, and Ori, Alice would be Not that he was really

Alice smirked and gave her Papa a big hug. The smirk weirdly mirrored the demon's. Looks like the bio-android was even picking up his quirks. She really did have quite the smart mouth. It was always aimed at strangers and idiots though. She was a deadpan snarker through and through and enjoyed it. It initially helped her out with her aggression problem, but now it was just straight up a part of her personality and charm. Everyone at the shop found it rather amusing. Suddenly Queen hopped in. The girl gladly fistbumped the kangaroo. Queen was the most badass pet ever; she didn't take shit from anyone and wasn't your standard dog or cat.

With that done, she then climbed into the machine. She laid down on her back and glanced upward. This would be her bed for the next week. Somewhat chilly, but it couldn't be helped. Her red eyes gazed over at Donny.

"Ready, Papa."

She then took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Her mind thought of it as a short hibernation period. Just sleep for a while and wake up. This machine made her take on a process similar to the birth of a butterfly; the caterpillar wraps itself inside a cocoon and breaks out in a new, beautiful form.

That end result for her was as a demon.

Donny kissed her forehead as she lay in the chamber then turned to the console. He input several commands the first sealing her in and the second would put her to sleep. As he did that, he put another hand on a different panel that would draw out some of his own demonic blood, the key ingredient for the process. He speculated on what type of being his daughter would become, all he knew is that she would be somewhat similar to him since it was his blood that was used.

He stood in front of the chamber with his knowing smirk taking a look at her inside the chamber. The monitors said her vitals were doing alright. The demon began sealing that section off again, obscuring it so no one could find it unless they knew what were looking for. He also made sure to leave a fresh set of clothes out for her for when she did finally emerge.

Well, Queen this is gonna be a boring week," he said to the kangaroo who simply nodded as Donny sat in a chair and cracked open a beer.

Alice smiled and closed her eyes as her father kissed her forehead. It was almost like she was being put to bed. She took deep breaths as the chamber sealed off. Breathe in, breathe out.....being inside a piece of machinery made her nervous due to her lab days. However, she could trust Donny not to do something horrible to her. She wouldn't wake up with chainsaw arms or something awful. She heard the sound of ports opening within the chamber. Drowsiness hit her as she breathed in. She recognized that it was putting her to sleep. She kept her eyes closed.

Breathe in.....breathe out.....

Soon the girl was unconscious. The teenager fell into a deep slumber.

What Donny did during his daughter's week off was unknown to her. There were perhaps impending concerns, but mid-week was no time for that. After the demonization process completed though...

Alice groggily opened her eyes. For a moment, she could feel nothing. Her body had went through drastic changes since she went into the chamber. She had grown considerably in multiple ways and was fully healed of all past injuries. Her pale face was no longer tainted with scars; her immune system was not seconds from breaking down completely. Things were different now.

She felt her bare skin touching what had been her bed for the past week. She felt cold and somewhat awkward. Her hands reached out to push on the chamber doors. She wanted out of her tiny "bedroom". Scanners detected signs of movements within the tube and opened it. The girl stumbled out and immediately banged her head against the top. This bewildered her as she flopped backwards. The fact that it happened stunned her too much to even rub her head.

The teen crawled out and managed to find her way to the pile of clothes. What she noticed was that they were much bigger than what she usually wore. As she stared down at the clothes, she began to process something else. Her body had certainly....er, grew. Her chest definitely wasn't the washboard that it was before. Additionally she felt a lot higher up than before. Even her legs appeared rather shapely now. She dressed herself in the clothes provided. Wearing the shirt felt weird due to the change.

Afterwards, she shyly peeked her head out of the room.

"H-Hello?"

She stuttered out.

"Anyone here?"

This was taking her more time to adjust than she expected. She stepped back into the room but left the door open. Growing up was weird.
