With a little giggle, and a sigh, she nodded, taking the tissue and covering her nose with it. She scooted away from him for just a second to blow her nose - as if not-even-there residue could spread a cold. As far as Aswan knew, it could - she wasn't taking any chances. "My sneezes nor me in particular are cute, but I am flattered, love," she replied, once the tissue was safely away from him. And thus she snuggled up to him again. Aswan never could get over how warm he always was.
"You do know you are always very w-"
Before she could finish her sentence, it broke off again, this time because of a yawn that stretched wide.
No! No sleeping. More studying, sleep later. Ghosts didn't need sleep, and as far as she knew she didn't need an energy crystal. Or anything, really. Although, the yawn earlier may tend to disagree-
Later. Sleep later.
"Ah. A sort of librarian-type job. That must have been very interesting, what with all the material to read." Hmm... Maybe if none of her career pathways worked now, she could fall back on that. It would certainly be fun.
Another yawn. "Roland... Do you mind any if I were to snuggle up a little bit more?" It was so cold, except for Roland, but that was always the case. And the drowsiness wasn't helping any, either.

The young mage tilted his head slightly as she yawned, "seems a certain beautiful ghost is tired." Chuckling he wrapped her arms around her, "of course I don't mind."

He looked at his sleepy girlfriend, without her he'd be so lost, "I always enjoy having you close." Leaning in he whispered a few romantic things, "I love you Aswan," he kissed her again and smiled.

Keeping his arms around her, he took her hand in his, lacing their fingers he very gently squeezed, "after your exams, we should have an evening together, ice cream and a movie."

The studious ghost's simple reply was to kind of curl herself up, snuggling close. She'd dropped the pen for now, instead choosing to relax for a moment... Her eyes closed and suddenly her studies felt a million miles away. Just listening for a second, closing her eyes... It all felt nice, like she could relax for a second. ".. Hhhhmmmm.." A faint nod of her head. "Yes, that sounds invigorating." The words sounded slurred a little, burdened by her drowsiness, so it kind of sounded like "ysssss thasssounn invigraying..."
Aswan almost fell asleep like this. So comfortable...
And then she remembered. Her studies. Her notes on ghost anatomy and powers needed to be redone. She had to practice her own powers. And, with the Study Association she was planning beginning to come together, she had a lot o work to do on that front. So, it was no surprise she jolted up a few minutes after having fallen asleep. "That will need to come later. Logic states I'd need to learn and plan first." Begone, sleepiness, she thought, once again pushing it to the corners of her mind.

He tilted his head, his face showing a bit of concern. Gently place his hand on her cheek, he looked into her eyes, those eyes he'd grown so fond of.

"Aswan dear, such things can wait," his eyes showed the love and concern he had, "I understand you love of studying and knowledge, but we don't want a repeat of last time." Sighing he kissed her, "I apologize, I do not mean to be pushy, I just worry love."

Roland gently squeezed her hand, "I'll be hear if you need anything," raising the hand he gently kissed it, "I'll always be here."

It was her turn to let out a wistful sigh, as she copied Roland's gesture, cupping his chin gently. "I know you are concerned for me, and I do appreciate it. However, I need to consolidate my knowledge of ghost lore and functions before I can relax, at least. Then I have the Study Group to attend to - you can partake, if you'd like. It is going to be an uphill climb, but I am used to it." She smiled softly, then placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. "I will be fine. After all. I cannot work myself to death, for I am already dead," she said, her soft smile gaining a more playful tinge. "Pushy. I would say." Aswan poked his nose. "Pushyyyy." The teasing in her voice was obvious.
Then she dropped her hand, gave Roland a quick kiss, and returned to staring at the book in front of her, idly flipping the pages. Although, she noted... Now that he was here, she could indeed concentrate a bit better, retain more information.
After a few minutes, she glanced up again, the soft smile back.
"Roland...?"
"... Thank you for coming here, being here, with me. It... It means very much to me."

Roland chuckled as she poked his nose, "you're so adorable," he quickly kissed the tip of her finger.

He smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist, held her close, "I should be thanking you, I do love having you close." The young mage leaned close again, making sure not to disturb her work, "I'll come here every evening if you wish," he gently kissed the side of her neck, in truth he was getting a little tired as well, "we'll study together, and I'll with your research if I can."

Continuing to smile, he started humming a calming song, it was unique, mystical almost, a song his mother used to sing to him.

Aswan giggled (darned Roland, kissing her finger!), blushing. "I am not. You are silly. So silly." And like that, she was pulled close to him again, still a giggly mess. Another kiss, this time on her neck, turned her normally sharp expression into the goofiest of smiles. It too a few second for her to recompose herself and actually say something. "And having you here has increased my study focus by approximately 17.4%, because I needn't worry about you when you are close. So I suppose having you here to study would be beneficial to the study itself." She mentally scolded herself - she sounded like a corporate drone. Her eyes translated the rest, as she simply listened to what Roland was humming, enraptured in the notes. She was surprised - who knew Roland could carry a tune so well? She found herself humming along - not nearly as able as the handsome mage to carry a tune, but still. The tune had its intended effect - Aswan was almost lulled into sleeping again.
The flip of the page again, a soft sound... And the act of reading was getting tiring...
Until her eyes wandered over a certain passage in the book that made her skin prickle and jolted her wide awake.

The young mage was almost lost to his own song, its beautiful melody, the nostalgic affect it had on him. It reminded him of his home before the war, when Avalon was peaceful.

Roland blinked in surprise as Aswan jolted into full awareness, concern returning to his face, "Aswan love, what is wrong?" He was a calm person, it was in his nature, but now it seems something was bothering the girl he loved.

Leaning forward a bit, he looked to where his girlfriend was starring at toward the book.

Bad. Terrible. Horrible. Awful.
Her mind ran through all the adjectives uselessly as she stared in almost... It was almost a horrific expression. It had taken her about three seconds to read the line of words, and five to decipher it from her old language classes, but what it said both puzzled and terrified Aswan.
One tiny passage.
With a swift motion she slammed the boom closed, scared Roland had seen the passage. She doubted he knew Greek... But it was always a possibility he'd read it. With a shudder, she pushed the book away, cuddling into Roland. Shakily she finally replied. "I-It's nothing, dear... Do not w-worry."

He wrapped his arms tight around her, "Aswan, you're trembling," he looked down at her, his eyes filled with concern. "Please tell me what's wrong," he glanced over at the book she was looking at.

He gently placed his hand on her cheek, looking into her eyes he tilted his head. The young mage could tell she was troubled, deeply so. Sighing he kissed her.

Leaning in he whispered, "I am here if you ever want to talk." With that, he dropped it for now, he did make sure to remember the look and title of the book so he could find it later. "I love you Aswan."
