"A masquerade ball!"

Gwynaria announced dramatically to her dear friend Sylvie, as she laid on the grass and took notes.

"Huge! Elaborate! Just as we once did in my story!" Gwynaria flailed her arms.

"Okay..." Sylvie began. "and how do we afford this huge elaborate masquerade ball?"

Her arms frozen in a dramatic stance, Gwynaria stared at Sylvie blankly.

"Did you forget you are not rich anymore?"

Dropping her arms, Gwynaria fell to her knees in front of Sylvie.

"Yes..." her head lowered, the wind picked up and threw her black and white hair widely around her face. "It is terribly difficult not being rich..."

Then Gwynaria threw her head back, the wind now blowing her hair dramatically behind her.

"But how will we get the word out about me, then?!" Gwynaria clenched her fist to her chest, staring up at the sky. Truly, Gwynaria had signed up for the student elections on a complete whim after someone had mentioned it to her--but now, she was all in. Sure, she could no longer be a prince or a princess, but to at least have some sort of title again...it appealed to her. It was not an entirely selfish desire--well maybe slightly--but she also always wished to help others. This granted her an opportunity to help her fellow students. Admittedly, there was also a certain thrill in the concept of 'elections'. One had to earn their place, not simply be born into it. Was she worthy to take on a title based on merit and not of noble birth?

"...Right..." Sylvie muttered with a sigh, waiting for Gwynaria to calm down from the dramatics. "Look, we can probably manage some sort of party. Just...scale back a bit."

"Yes, yes, you are right..." Gwynaria replied as she got back up onto her hooves. She started to peer around curiously at the others around them.

"What kind of social events appeal in this time? Perhaps the masquerade ball is a bit too old fashioned anyway..." she said to herself, before turning to Sylvie excitedly.

"I am going to go ask some of our fellow students!" And before Sylvie could even respond, Gwynaria had dashed off to the nearest student.

"Right, you do that..." Sylvie said before laying her head against her arm. They had just started this and she was already tired. She kind of wished Gwynaria had never heard of the damn student elections...

"Well met, my friend!" Gwynaria greeted the closest, random student she could get to. She got on one knee and bowed.

"My name is Gwynaria, and I am running in the student council elections," she flashed her brilliant smile to up the other. "Might I just take a moment of your time to ask: what types of social events appeal to you most? It would be of great help to me."

"Everything seems to be so....liberal here." Tesa mumbled to herself as she was reading her textbook on law with an actual law book and court ruling book sitting to either side of her. Though she was outside studying it wasn't much louder then Olympus was during some of its more...wild, Parties. Tesa was taking a look at a paragraph in her textbook, followed by a hunt through the law book which then caused her to flip through some court cases involving that law.

To Tesa it was facinating and beautiful in its complexity, to others it might have been boring. It was in this flurry of book switching that she heard someone talking. This was different from usual since her in bred instinct kicked in when the word Party was thrown around. But it was as she was looking up she noticed the person was now begining to kneel before her and bow.

A thought struck her that a LOT of people were looking this way, and in a way this looked liked an ancient painting or mural of a proposal. Mainly because of how Tesa and this man...woman?...person were dressed. Tesa herself was actually wearing what could be commented as a woman's white toga...with the addition of shorts underneath and a modern bra but that wasn't the point.

It made Tesa blush a little, the stairs at her were a bit more on the 'congratulations' side while most of the women...men?... Were looking at this bowing person with a mixture of envy, jealousy and anger (that they didn't think to do this earlier). "Um...I'm sorry I didn't catch that. what did you say?" the Greek goddess asked her petitioner...
