Just a couple of questions!

Hello!

So I'm brainstorming character ideas and I had a couple of questions:
  • If the character (a student) has accidentally killed someone before they arrive at the academy, are there consequences/stigma's/programs/etc that are in place? (To elaborate, authorities do not suspect that this was an accidental murder but a drug overdose/violent outburst? Or, if they do suspect that something is amiss, they do not suspect student).
  • Do the students have their own room or do they share?
Sorry if this has been answered before, I'm still reading through everything. I'm just excited to start :laffin:

Hi Miranda, welcome to the site!

  • Generally speaking, every student gets a 'freebie' prior to their arrival at the Academy. For example, my character Emily accidentally murdered her best friend, and as a result was discovered by the Academy and brought to it. She was not punished for this action legally and does not face prison time. However, she is required to take mandatory therapy sessions, and failure to do so could result in her being forced into the Behavioral Corrections Facility.
  • Generally speaking, most students share rooms. However, they are free to request private rooms if they have some sort of condition that makes sharing a room with them dangerous, or if they pay a certain sum.
Hopes this helps!

@Kyros

Sorry I have another question!

Am I allowed to have my character have a developing mental illness? Or is that not allowed?

I was going to make it that it (Schizophrenia) develops so gradually that character doesn't even realise they're sick until the 'break'/'breaking point'.

Edit: Is that too messed up? :ohshit:
