Name: TX-K0(Designation: Juniper)
Age: Juniper was constructed 5 years ago. Physically and mentally, she appears to be a young adult female.
Birthday: Unknown(Summertime)
Gender: Female/Gender-Neutral
Species: Robot
Category: Student
Class: College
Grade: 1st Year
College Major: Engineering
Appearance Description: Juniper stands at 5'3''(160cm) and has a somewhat diminutive frame. She's slight and small in stature, but seems to either not notice this fact or not care. Her hair is a light purple that falls in soft ringlets around her face to her mid-torso. Her face is angular with high cheekbones that either shows no emotion or shows a bizarre mishmash of too many emotions at once. Her eyes are a bright and vivid purple that matches her hair. Where her face and neck appear to be covered with typical human skin, the rest of her body is not and is quite obviously made of metallic parts fitted into a female form. Each of her fingers ends in a pointed tip, allowing her to easily manipulate/assemble/disassemble small objects.
Juniper typically covers her more obviously mechanical nature with casual, baggy clothing. She wears loose fitting jeans and hooded sweatshirts the majority of the time, regardless of temperature or weather.
Personality Description: Juniper could be described as having genius-level intellect, particularly in the fields of mechanical engineering and forging. A fact that she seems to have no hesitation flaunting. In just about every other capacity, however, she appears to have the wherewithal of an emotionally stunted teenager. Outwardly, she is kind and caring for others, but has almost no idea how to apply these feelings in meaningful ways. Her creator instilled in her a desire to help preserve life and care for those around her, but organic emotions are something of a new concept to this awakened construct. She has an almost insatiable appetite for knowledge and won't hesitate to re-read manuals and textbooks many times over. Her innermost nature is one of curiosity and longing to connect to the foreign world around her.
Species Abilities: Robot/Android
-Durable: Able to take a lot of physical damage/pain with only marginal loss of function.
-Processing Power: Able to formulate mathematical algorithms and calculations more quickly than the average human mind.
-Emotional Dissonance: Organic motivations/feelings are difficult to grasp and understand. Social situations are often difficult.
-Dense: No Swimming. Only Sinking.
-Recharge: Doesn't need to "Sleep" or "Eat" in the traditional sense, but must deactivate for a period of time to maintain operable levels of power.
-Self-Repair: Most damage/malfunctions can be manually repaired and/or addressed by the robot themself.
-Immortal: Robots don't age/degrade as your standard mortals do. Completely susceptible to purposeful damage as well as rust/wear/lack of maintenance/other mechanical function maladies.
Powers:
Scan - Juniper is equipped with optical sensors that are capable of quickly scanning the inner workings of an object, be it mechanical or organic in nature. Where inanimate objects are concerned, she is able to determine the materials from which it is made, structural weaknesses, and a broad sense of it's function. Organic beings are much more difficult to scan, as the process was only designed to work on standard humans. Even then, it only gives cursory information at best. (i.e. basic vital signs, core temperature, etc.) This ability is prone to malfunction as June's internal devices were never perfected.
Energy Absorption - Electrical energy is something that is integral to Juniper's inner workings and as such, she was built with a number of internal capacitors capable of absorbing and redistributing outside electricity. This could mean that she absorbs electricity from a socket and then uses it to power a deactivated machine or perhaps as a makeshift defibrillator.
Biography: Gregory Frei was a brilliant engineer and humanitarian of the past generation that always worked within his small company to present the world with helpful advances in technology. One day several years ago, he seemingly vanished from the face of the planet, sequestering himself deep within his personal workshop. It was there that he worked tirelessly to craft his greatest work. A fully functioning automaton capable of human empathy and emotion. A being that would not only be able to bridge the gap between technology and man, but also aid everyone on a daily basis. Much to his dismay, he failed.
That is to say, he did create quite a remarkable construct in TK-X0(who he came to call Juniper), but she fell short of his rather lofty goals. Never one to be dismayed, Gregory decided not to scrap the project, but instead take it in a different direction. He began doing his best to teach her how to care and feel for mankind in ways that other automatons had been lacking. Over time, they developed a bond that not only gave Dr. Frei hope, but inspired new feelings in Juniper that seemed to persist from day to day. It wasn't until Dr. Frei decided to send her away that she truly understood that she cared for the old man. She understood the impact behind the word "Father."
Still unsure as to why, exactly, he decided to send her to Manta Carlos, she is nonetheless determined to carry on his legacy of technology and philanthropy.
Additional Information: Juniper is traveling light with nothing more than a knapsack filled with various tools and metal bits for self-repair. She also carries a picture of Dr. Frei that she defends fanatically.
