Nicholas sat in a corner of the library, surrounded by books. He was only reading one, but the rest lay scattered around him. A vacant smile lay on his face, and he was obviously absorbed in his book. Suddenly, he heard a chuckle from nearby, and set his book down. His eyes scanned across the library, until he spotted someone curled up on the ground, laughing madly. He grabbed his book, and two others, then walked over, his glasses lying perfectly balanced on his nose. He silently spoke, his voice calm and collected. "Target indentified. Confronting."

He walked up to the person laughing wildly, and lay a hand on their heart. "Your chance of survival is about 50-50, more if you can get to the medical wing soon. Now, have you seen a clown?" The person nodded, still wheezing and laughing, and pointed down a nearby bookcase. Nicholas rose, and for a moment, he looked like some finely-tuned robot. "Location confirmed. Let's get down to business."

Of course Theron was there, but he was not on the floor. He sat on top of the bookcase with his legs hanging down. The coat was laing on the floor and the hat and the glasses next to it. He had a pretty good waive from where he was and he was still laughing from his last prank. He calmly moved some of the green hair away from his face and he laid down on the bookcase and looked up into the celling above. Not many was around the library today, but it was still fun to make the librarian laugh even if none was there to listen to it...just for his own pleasure. As always he had the bright yellow smile on his face, a smile that showed all his teethes.

He suddenly heard steps and rolled around so that he was laing on his stomach. Theron looked down and noticed Nicholas as he walked towards his direction. The prankster watched him walk, so it was wonder boy? Mr Smarty pants? Whatever he would like to be called. Theron began to think of a good name to use...something new and different.

Nicholas spoke without looking up, his voice containing just a hint of a smile. "No one's tried calling me Captain Pocketprotector, yet. Defender of all that is inky and staining." He craned his head up, and smirked thinly. "Knew you'd be up there. Get down, I'd like to talk to you. My master has taken an interest in you, and has requested I test you. Follow me when you're ready."

Theron listened to the man and he laughed. "My you read my mind mister smarty pants" he said calmly and with great dexterity he jumped from one bookcase to the other that was a little lower and then down in front of Nicholas. He brushed some dust from the purple jacket with the to long arms of his jacket. "I think I will stay to using the more common once to be honest, the once you said are far to long and will take time to say." he laughed again and picked up the sunglasses from the floor, he looked at them for a moment and then he dropped them again and turned his gaze back to Nicholas. "Master? Interest? My my such fancy words, calling someone master these days is so out...your boss is more into date, you should try that out instead." he grinned. "Looks like this could be a funny game, so why not, I´m ready when you are. Lead the way."

"He's not my boss. He's my master, in every sense of the word. Now..." He grabbed a book at random, peered at it, then threw it in the corner. He grabbed another, and nodded. "Sit back. It's time for your test to start." He cleared his throat, and began to read aloud. The moment he did, everything seemed to disappear, even the ground he stood on. All that existed was Theron, Nicholas, and his words. After a minute, he shut the book and set it down. He smiled agaiin, and waved a hand. "Welcome to Las Vegas."

Theron laughed at his first words. "Master, Boss, it is just simple words. Anything can be much these days" he said. He tilted his head slightly to the side as he watched Nicholas pick out a book and began to read, Theron listened to the words and then when everything dissappeared and they suddenly was in Las Vegas he looked around. "Oh...Las Vegas? Well I sure thought it was going to be bigger" he said and laughed. "The city that never sleeps they call it. Must be very angry people around if they never sleeps." he laughed again and shook his head, Theron then turned his gaze towards Nicholas. "So I guess you did not take us here so we could go to the casino?"

He stared, and then shifted his legs just slightly, watching him. "There's a 27.8% chance I'll kill you if you don't take this seriously, and a 23.2% chance I'll get pissed and just go away after I kick your $$$$." He shrugged, then grabbed the book again. "The test is simple. Beat me, I take you back to the library and go away. I win, you're not worthy of serving my master, or even of living. You'll be left in this storybook world."

Theron laughed again. "Oh but I am serious, in what way I can my dear friend" he said with a happy voice. "You seem to know me well, then you should know that I could never be like what you people would call....serious." he tilted his head to the side and then he examined his left hand. "My must this be solved violence? Well I guess I have no other choice but to show you what kind of circus freak I can be" there was many sides of his powers he had not showed openly until now, the fact that he could control emotions was common knowledge but he had never openly used his real dexterity since he had never had a reason to do so....not that he did not train that power when he had the time to. But only when he was alone.

"It's a test. I'm here to see if you can actually fight." He grabbed a book he had brought with him, and opened it in a flash, reading aloud again. Things began to swim, and everything vanished again. When he was finished, a dark blob sat on the ground in front of Nicholas, and he was staring into space. "Your chance of success just went dow 10% with this guy here."

Theron looked at the sudden appearance of the creature, "Oh what a cute thing" he said with a happy voice and tilted his head from the left side to the right. "You really have a thing to sound serious all the time, lighten up a little. Life is to short to be wasted" he laughed and moved some hair away from his face. He did not know what this thing was and neither did he care about it at all. He never cared about anything at all. "Oh 10% lower? Well I sure like the odds for that one, the lower the chance the bigger the price is." He giggled lowly and stretched his back calmly.
