Human Form: 6' tall, 220 pounds, has spiky black hair worn very loosely, blue eyes, average skin tone, clothing is casual, t-shirts, pants but at times has a military look especially when he wears cargo pants. Has four brands on the right side of his chest.
Death Form: 8' tall, 320 pounds, very muscular, wears a military like combat suit, has black bat like wings that turn into a hooded cloak/trench coat when not in use, face looks like a scull like mask, eyes are glowing red, has metallic claws and gauntlets .

John is a very calm individual, he approaches most situations with a calm head and so rarely loses his temper, if you've managed to make him angry then you likely deserve what's coming. John often comes off as detached, he doesn't seem to make many lasting friends, his two years of fighting and wandering has left him with the belief that people will never stick around, people come people go as they say. Unfortunately coming to Manta Carlos has done little to help this, the only real friends he's made are with his fellow horsemen and his attempts at dating have had little results, so he tends to have one night stands and a few friends with benefits instead of actual relationships. He struggles with being death incarnate and everything that brings, adding to his detachment and emotional distance from people, he questions his purpose, his very nature. Despite this he's friendly and kind and even a bit of a flirt.
•Passive
•Sensing the End: he is able to sense when a person is near death. Now in order to do this said person needs to be within 10 feet, and its automatic so he has no control over that. The person's destined death date must be within 4 months of when Jonathan comes in contact of the person for the sense to activate. (obviously he wont sense anything when around immortals)
•Instant Death Being Identification: when he looks at any sort of being who shares the domain of Death, he is able to instantly identity what kind of death being they are, whether it's a reaper, death god or another horseman. This is also automatic so he can't control it.
•In his human form he seems completely normal. Except for a few things, he has a healing factor, normally such an ability would make someone heal at an accelerated rate, but his is focused on keeping his many sicknesses at bay, meaning he heals at the same rate as a human but is physucally kept healthy. If his body is destroyed he will merely respawn 24 hours later, and he will stop aging sometime in his 20s. Can bend steel.

-Superstrength: able to bend steel
-Flight: he has jet black wings that allow him to fly at 50 miles an hour (when not in use they take the form of a cloak/trench coat)
-Enhanced Senses: night vision, sense of smell better than hunting wolves, enhances hearing to where he can hear sounds from up to half a mile away
•Death Vision: when he does sense that death is near (through the above power), he can see how that person will die via touching them. He has control of this power and can choose whether or not to use it.
•Horseman Weapons: He has special weapons which can change size so he can use them in either of his forms, he can summon them to him whenever he needs them.
-Dual Magitech Guns: two handguns which fire blasts of magical energy, these blasts are bullet shaped and are about 5 feet in width and guns fire at the rate of a pistol. These magical blasts can puncture up to a foot of steel. They don't require ammo for the magical blasts, but they can be loaded with and fire most forms of gun ammunition.
-Death Scythe: a bladed weapon, obviously its razor sharp and can cut through up to a foot steel. It also drain energy from anyone who touches it besides it's chosen horseman, the person who touches it will immediately feel drained and exhausted, extended exposure can be lethal.

He is very vulnerable to healing/life giving magics. Exposure to such magics is horribly painful and damaging to him. The weaker healing magics cases burns, more powerful ones causes greater damage, and causes his healing factor to turn off exposing him to his old sicknesses.

•John came from a well off family and inherited a good amount of money upon turning eighteen. He's not rich, but he's got a good amount. Lives in an apartment.
-Years ago a violent cult dedicated toward bringing about the Apocalypse attempted to summon the Four Horseman. The summoning ritual successfully summoned a horseman of Death, but the horseman appeared as a human child away from the cult.
-Said child was discovered and eventually adopted by a US army general and his wife who named him John.
-The cult spent the next fourteen years trying to find the horseman, eventually they found him shortly after John had turned 14
-The cult used magic to attack their home and kidnapped them, using a ritual using John's adopted parents as sacrifices, this ritual activated John's horseman powers and summoned his apocalypse weapons to him.
-In a fit of rage he killed the cult members present and then spent the next two years hunting the remaining cult members both for revenge and to find out what he was.
-Finally he tracked down the leader of the cult, who revealed John's purpose as one of the bringers of the apocalypse, he killed the cult leader.
-Looking back at all the death he had caused and overall horrified by his apparent destiny he attempted suicide via poison, but he discovered that he in fact couldn't die.
