His arms, contrasting with the rest of his body, are actually well muscled, of course not so much so as to be bulging out, but noticeable enough that if he was to be seen in a tank top his muscles would be well defined. His hairstyle, which is usually combed to the right, is a little unkempt at times, but usually well brushed and taken care of as he believes that his hair is important enough to determine how his interactions will go with people.
His eyes are a bright, almost electrifying, blue color that seem to portray his emotions through them. His hair, like many Europeans originating closer to the north, is a dirty blond. On his wrist, his experiment number of 1.342 was tattooed on his arm in order to ascertain and categorize her name and number. The tattoo is in a unique greenish color that is relatively visible to the eye and, as a result, attention grabbing. While the majority of his skin is pale, the area around his tattoo perpetually is red and irritated, almost like a sore that would not go away, though he doesn't feel it anymore. In the summer, though his skin burns quite a lot and he, like many people he knew, gets sunburns almost routinely without sunscreen. His features otherwise seem to be quite handsome, and yet he, at times, seems to give a anxious air around him.

His actions almost challenging the world to forget him as he seems to enjoy life. His friends think of him as amazing, funny, and caustic in some cases. People who dislike him, on the other hand, think of him as rude, annoying, and completely idiotic.
There is a reason, however, that he acts so conspicuously with people, he has a crippling fear of being forgotten or left alone. Due to the nature of the acquisition and use of his abilities, he feels anxiety and fear at the idea that he will not be a part of the world even temporarily. This anxiety has almost culminated into a sort of disorder that he is nearly losing to with every day that passes. As a result, each day he is forced into a situation where people do not talk to him he is worn down physically and mentally while he is plagued with anxiety. He is not an extrovert out of choice but out of necessity.

Though he doesn't have large amounts of raw power, He does have strength comparable to a conditioned football (American) player, the stamina of a boxer, and the metabolism of a sumo wrestler. (for those who did not know sumo wrestlers can burn about 20,000 calories a day if doing intense workouts)
To "pay" for these abilities John has to eat consistently in order to keep his body functioning at an optimal level. He cannot afford to go on without eating for very long without feeling large amounts of fatigue, stomach pain, and headaches. This will happen regardless of whether or not he has worked out as his body burns exactly 20,000 calories a day.

The only information that you have is that the cat was alive before you put it in the box. As a result, the cat is considered to be in a superposition of alive (existing) and dead(not existing).
John has the ability exist in a superposition of both existing and non-existence. In his existing state, he can interact with objects as he pleases. This means that, like any other person, he can exert force over other objects in order to interact with them. Some examples of this is eating a with a fork, doing the laundry, and cleaning bloodstains out of the shirt he bought yesterday because it was soooooo nice. All the things that a completely correct person would do. Anything that is possible for a normal person to do, he can do it as well.
His state of non-existence is something like the antithesis of his existing self, in that his interactions with the world become extremely limited. The only things he can interact with are the items he is touching while he transitions from existing to non-existing. In this state he can pass through walls, floors, and is unaffected by anything including: flying bunnies, the sun, and the bullet of the really pissed off mafia member that he stole money from. Essentially, he is a ghost that no one can see.
He can consciously drift in-between both of these states of existence. It is not too uncommon for him to make parts of his body incorporeal in order to do things like open a door from the inside or other odd things that generally would not be humanly possible. John was too young at the time to realize how suspicious this person was and would come to regret it later because it would turn out that the man before him would be the most sadistic person with twisted views that ever could exist.
Going through his iconic home school schooling until he hit the tender age of fourteen. The fourteen-year-old John came home to a family that had their memory of him erased. They physically and cognitively did not recognize him, in essence in a span of a couple hours his family went from a normal loving family, to cold and distant. John couldn’t comprehend what had happened and in his confusion he met the man that would be later revealed as the culprit. James Pseudonym ushered him into a car and brought him to a relatively normal looking building.
He followed the old acquaintance and got himself into a lab that did work in human subjects. Everything from the weaponizing of humans to the breaking of time and space was being experimented in the lab. As he was handed the contract of service he was commanded by a unconcerned looking man in a lab coat “Here sign this and your parents will get better.” John, who was tired and afraid, just signed not really understanding the implications behind the document.
He was then brought into a white room, stabbed with a syringe of unknown substance, and made to pass out. When John awoke he found himself alone. He did not know how long he was in that white room but each passing day his sanity was chipped at. The perpetual silence and alone-ness that he was subjected to started to take effect on his body. He started to go slightly insane at the lack of human interaction. Eventually, as a way to make his ordeal stop, he went to bite the artery running through his left wrist, but oddly enough his teeth passed through his arm without any resistance, no taste of blood, and no red liquid. He had developed a set of abilities.

John was gaunt and sickly looking. After he had escaped the hell that was the lab, he had no way of feeding himself other than off of the scraps of people left in the garbage. The hunger gnawed on his insides as he stumbled around. He hadn't used his ability since he had left the lab, but he was starting to get desperate. He had heard talk about a secure house that was left alone because of not only its hard to bypass security but also its rumors of being haunted. John resolved to get in the house by using his newly developed abilities.
He got to the building and phased through the wall. While most people would have felt home free at that point, he didn't know how to switch back to existence. He panicked. He ran in a random direction and found himself in a vault, but instead of a large amount of money there was a man standing and watching him. John was then forced out of his ability by an outside force. How this man was able to force John to re-enter reality was unknown to John himself, but the man's words were clear.
"you're to follow me to starlight academy, please follow me"
And John did.

After a bit of time, John landed in a holding cell talking to a local police officer. That's where he had learned that all of his acquired knowledge that he had gained during his time as a normal child was actually completely useless as he had been taught human fundamentals in a cult. John physically told the police officer that:
"I know that the Chinese were at one point the richest people group. I know most of what happened with England and how it is communist, well actually I don't know that but I would assume that since Karl Marx wrote a book about how he would change the British economy. I know that the Spanish have the best navy, and uhhhh thats about it! Actually no, Also Italy has a lot of people in the catholic religion and we were all as a race on a continent called pangea. Evolution never happened and the earth is several thousand years old"
The shocked officer eventually recommended him for cultural education.
