He looked over at Lex, and a smile formed over his face. "I'm fine now that the dragon is gone, so, don't worry about me, I just got whammed into a wall, and that isn't too bad, I'm just not going to be able to juggle for a bit." He said cheery though there was a hint of pain in his voice, but he didn't care, he merely ignored the pain.

"How about you, you held up those rocks great." He said, concerned, and he hoped that she was fine. He walked closer to her and rested his hand on her shoulder gently. " you should rest for a bit, now that it's all over." He said and it seemed to be clear in his voice that he was concerned.

She was doing fairly well at holding herself up, giving weak smiles in all the right places, but as he touched his hand to her shoulder, it was all she could do to keep from bursting into tears, or passing out, or barfing, not nessicarily in that order. Since it seemed to be possible, the color drained even more out of her face, until she was a shade of almost paper white. "I think..." her voice came out as almost a whisper as she swayed slightly. "I need..." she took a deep breath, "To sit down."

She tried to lower herself gently to the ground, but as it turned out, her shaking body wouldn't hold her up, and she collapsed onto the ground. She pulled her knees up to her chest and hugged them, trying to get herself under control. She didn't really know what all of it was. Probably a mix of fear of losing the only friend she had, losing her life, the extreme strain of not only bringing herself here, but also holding up the rocks, and the release of pent up stress after escaping her old school. Still, she was somewhat aware that Trephas was concerned, and she glanced up at him, honesty and trust in her eyes as she said, "I'll be ok." truly sure of that. She just didn't know how soon.

He carefully watched Lex, and when she collapse he stepped forward. He looked at her face that was very pale. He wanted to give her some type of comfort, but he didn't know what. He knew she had done a lot, and only to save him from getting eaten by a dragon. He got down on his knees which caused much pain in his side, and he rested his hand on her shoulder again. "I know you said your OK, but I could take you to the hospital wing?" He asked Lex, also while he thought about it he remembered his own pain on his side.

He looked around for a way out, but there was no entrance or exit to leave this little cliff side. The he looked up at the cliff above them. I could float out, I didn't wear myself out trying to hold rocks up, well it still did dampen my powers a little, but I could try to float down but I'll have to carry her, I don't think she is able to walk or use her powers, though she could I bet, but it would take a lot of energy like it did to her now, he thought deep with so many thoughts of what to do, but right now he kept them all to himself.

Lex closed her eyes, forcing herself to breath slowly and get under control. "I need to stay here right now. I can't get us down, and don't deny it, you're really hurt, and you yourself said that your powers are weak..." she paused, gathering back her strength to finish. "I'm only tired, You're actually hurt."

As she spoke, her face slowly changed from deathly pale to only slightly pale. She continued to keep her eyes closed as she inhaled and exhaled. "Besides, all that really matters is that we're both alive." She glanced at Trephas, offering a small smile.

Trephas listened to her, and nodded slightly, knowing his powers are weak, and will admit it to anyone. I'm weak, though I can make myself float, He thought. "I'll get over my pain." He said smiling slightly.

"Well, I guess that's the last time I try to talk to a dragon that's hungry." He said almost a little cheery, like he was happy about it. I can't wait to tell Dad, I wonder if he has ever seen a dragon, but if Mom knows she'll pull me out in a instant, he thought happily, but if he was pulled out of this school he'll hate it.

Lex raised her eyes to Trephas' face, looking mostly tired now. "If you ever do that again... I might have to hurt you." she threatened, almost teasingly, a small smile winding it's way onto her face. Mostly, Lex was just thankful that she'd seen the dragon going after him.

A tear trickled down her face, and she blinked, confused as she wiped it off of her face. She looked at it momentarily, wondering why it was there. She didn't feel like crying. As she was trying to figure out what it was, she gasp involutarily at a bite of pain in her head. She moved her hand to where the pain had originated, and jerked it away when she felt sticky wetness in her hair. She pulled her hand infront of her face, and blanched immediately. Not only were her fingers wet, they were also dark red.

"I.. I must have not felt it with the adrenaline.." she spoke quietly, more confused that shocked at the color on her fingers. She continued to stare at her fingers, brow knitting in confusion.

He smiled, that was wide, and happiness somehow found it's way into his eyes. "Well then, first you're gonna have to keep me away from the mountains." He said happily, and he sat there on his knees, and looked at Lex, then watched as she felt her head and then looked at the blood on her fingers, then fear immediately showed over his gray eyes.

"Uh... That's not good..." Was all he said stunned staring at the blood also. He looked at Lex, then he reached over and took hold of her small hand that the blood was on. "I'm going to take you to the hospital wing." Trephas said in a concerned voice, still holding her hand.

Lex shook her head slowly. "No.. Not yet. I'm ok. It's probably just a skin wound..." she averted her eyes from the hand that was now covered, blood no longer visible to her, "Head wounds always bleed bad." she was wondering if what she'd said was true, but her countenance didn't change with the possibility that she could have lied.

There was more to her nervous of hospitals... They were never good, and it was drilled into her head, like so many other memories. Deciding that it'd be better to tell Trephas that it wasn't him that she didn't have faith in, she looked at his face, concerned immediately with the fear in his eyes. "Truth is, Trephas... That I'm more scared of the hospital than I am that my head is bleeding." she glanced back at the ground, focusing on a rock.

After that, she went quiet, staring at the rock as though it was going to do something. Not that she was even trying to move it. It took a lot of bravery for her to admit to her fear.

He listened to what she said first but said nothing back but just slightly nodded his head, but when she spoke again about being more scared of hospitals, then a head wound. He wondered why she didn't like hospital's, he never seen anything bad with them, so he thought for a bit about it.

"Fine then, if you do not wish to go there, then I will not make you." He said, his tone still filled with a bit of concern, but he will not force someone into doing something they don't want to do. He sat there, and removed his hand, and rested it on his knee, while with his other hand he ran it through his hair.

"Though I see nothing wrong with a hospital." He said mostly to himself, while clencing at his side again as a wave of pain fell over him, but he didn't show it on his face at all. "To bad Eben's not here, he would love to see a dragon." He said causally.

Now that her hand was free, Lex gripped at the bottom of her shirt, tearing a strip off of the bottom. She tied it around her head in a make shift bandage. Somehow, the fact that Trephas was kind enough not to force her, and the fact that his side hurt just set Lex's resolve. She stood, swaying a bit as her blood adjusted to the change of altitude. She held her hang out to Trephas. "Let's go. My mind's got enough strength that I can help move us. You need medical attention as much as I do. I can't let my fear stop either of us from getting the help we need." Her vision fuzzed for a moment, but she didn't show it, standing apparently firm.

Sometimes all it took was somebody else being in danger for Lex to rise above her fear. She pushed the fear back, focusing on the fact that her head hurt, and that her friend was wounded.
