Jared Hollander

Red eyes, pale skin, has fangs, white over shirt with a red sleeveless shirt underneath, blonde spiky hair, 6', 200 pounds. Missing his right arm.

He' very friendly, and despite his age he already loves partying. He tends to give off a aura of confidence, though not to the point of arrogance. Though he tends to be a bit thick headed, hes still willing to listen to others. Because of his love to party he has a habit of getting delinquent-esque status, despite the fact he gets good grades. Hes a bit of a charmer, which is ironic sense hes never dated. Has some trust issues caused by his parents more or less disowning him.

Telepathy: can read any mind and talk mentally. Said person has to be within a 30 feet radius. Through this he can send mental attacks causing the person great pain. Those with a strong will can resist or even block it. (can only read one mind at a time, cannot read a mind and attack it at the same time)

Telekinesis: able to move things with his mind, his limit being 2000 pounds. Through this he can turn most things into projectile weapons. (object has to be within 30 feet, be able to look at it, object can be thrown aylt about 20 miles an hour)

Weaknesses:
Mental Backlash: the longer he keeps up a mental attack the more damage it causes himself, 5 minutes of it leaves him with a concussion.

All in all Mindflayers physical abilities pale in comparison to most vampires. Can lift 500 and run 20 miles an hour, and can take quite the beating. And he heals faster than humans, broken bones heal within a few weeks. Unlike most vampires, they do in fact age, just at a slower rate, 500 years is normally as old as they'll get.
Mindflayers cannot turn someone into a vampire with just a bite. It requires whats called a "sharing of blood." During this process the vampire first bites a person and drinks some of there blood, then the vampire will cut themselves (normally on the wrist) and feed the person their blood.
Weaknessess: Silver will burn his skin on contact, and being stabbed or shot with it will be lethal if it touches any important organs. And touching it causes their powers to deactivate.
Blood: he requires human blood to survive (about half a liter a week)
Sunlight: like many vampires he cannot go in sunlight without protection as it will burn him to ash.

Born and raised in L.A. California, like most of the world he grew up ignorant of the existence of the supernatural. Until one night a Mindflayer vampire attacked and infected him wirh vampirism, over the course of a month he slowly turned. His turning shocked his family, with him often over-hearing his parents questioning his humanity, this tension ultimately caused teir relationship to fall apart, arguments were common and Jared began to hate himself. Things worsened as Jated's bloodlust emerged, as a new vampire he had trouble controlling his thirst, his eyes would often turn blood red at just the smell of blood. His younger sister became deeply afraid of him, destroying the once close relationship they had. Things come to head one night whem Jared in his frustration headed into the city to get away from his problems, Jared was attacked by a gang who had heard rumors about him, Jared defended himself with his powers. One of the gang members is badly injured and Jares nearly feeds on him via instinct. Horrified by what he nearly did he attempted suicide vis sunlight, though he ultimately found himself unable to do it (but he still has scars from it). Jared is taken in by local authorities and to his shock, his family do not visit him, they do not come to check on him or to make sure hes unhurt. Ultimately unwillimg to raise a vampire son, his parents signed him over to the state. Shocked by his family's uncaring ways, he escapes. He spends a year on the streets, stealing blood packs to survive, during this year he learned to control his blood lust. He spent this time helping the poor and homeless via stealing them food, using his powers to avoid arrest, all the while dealing with a self hatred brought on by his family turning their backs on him. Until one day a vampire hunter found him, Jared was at first wasnt going to fight, hed come to terms with being a monster. But then something snapped in him, in a moment he became so sick of being treated like garbage he released his first psychic attack on the hunter rendering him unconscious. With that he leaves California and eventually runs into a SA scount who recruits hin to the school.
