January 2019 Events

New Years Day: Celebrated on January 1st, this holiday involves ringing in a new year, and is widely celebrated throughout the island as a secular holiday. There are a number of large public events that are open to all citizens of the island.

Islander's Day: Celebrated on the second weekend of January, this is an island-only holiday celebrating those who have arrived on the island in the previous year. While most celebrations are private affairs among new arrivals, many businesses hold special events and promotions for those celebrating their first year on the island.


Cozy Cottage: On the third weekend of January, a ski lodge in the northern mountains of Manta Carlos Island is opened to the public for the weekend. Play in the snow, go skiing or snowboarding, or stay inside where it's warm and enjoy the closeness and community. This is an ICC event and will take place on the weekend of January 19-21. The setting is the cottage itself.

In-character, characters are being invited up to enjoy the winter events for free. The cottage has shared bunk rooms for those who registered available for free, or solo rooms for those who paid money.
