6' tall, strong athletic build, pale skin, short black hair, frosty silver eyes, scar over his left eyebrow. Clothing usually consists of jeans and a white shirt, with his black and red coat, along with his red jeweled necklace. Overall his has an air of danger and coldness about him, his facial features always having something that adds to that.
Upon initially meeting him, you'll notice he has an air of coldness and danger about him, he looks like what one would expect of someone used to violence and death, and that is true but he's also much more complicated that that. Yes he's killed, both accidentally and on purpose, yes many of those killings could be considered murders, but things just aren't simple with him. Morally he's very gray, he doesn't believe in the black and white morality some use, he has a very loose relationship with the law and has come into conflict with it at times. In truth he's heavily damaged individual, one who's seen violence and death for a large portion of his life, he has a lot of blood on his hand, the circumstances on how that blood got there varies, but he makes no excuses, those people are gone via his actions, though in truth someone was controlling him for a good number of the killings. Nightmares are an extremely common thing for him, he has a lot of guilt over some of the deaths, mainly the ones he knows were innocent. He has trust issues but it's hard to tell at first, he has an oddly casual way about despite everything, it could be troubling or calming, or even attractive depending on your tastes, it just takes a while for him to open up, people might know him quite a while before actually finding out much about him. If you do get him talking, he'll come off as a bit odd, a bit weird, he just seems off.
He very rarely judges people, he himself is willing to kill and even possibly murder if he thinks they deserve it, but he has two very strict rules that he lives by and so will judge others by it:
1: "If you go to war with someone, don't go dragging uninvolved people into it. Keep your vendettas focused on the right people."
2: "Harming children, and any form of rape are unforgivable. People who do this don't deserve life."
He lives by these rules strictly, if he finds out you've broken these two rules but escaped conventional justice, expect him to bring hell upon you, you will suffer.
Once you get past all the things above, you'll find a decent guy, with some kindness, and a bit of sarcasm. He'll care about you once you've become his friend, his loyalty is nearly unbreakable, but you're unlikely to get it back if broken. Slow to anger, but once his anger has peaked it's truly terrifying. A good listener, who is very unlikely to judge no matter what you've done. A morally complicated young man, who's seen way to much death for anyone, but he's got heart underneath the damage.

Void Fire: He can conjure and control a temperatureless flame that doesn't burn or give off heat, instead it seems to devour things. It's like if a black hole turned into a fire, things it touches seem to get pulled into it bit by bit, almost like a virus devouring things. Theoretically it can eat through any substance, but the speed at which it does so depends on its density. Things like flesh or wood would be eaten very quickly, while things like metal or stone will take longer the stronger they are. As its not normal fire it's not affected by cold temperatures like ice but it in turn cannot melt ice, it can devour it though. It cannot be controlled by normal fire manipulation powers, and because of its devouring nature it does not leave behind ash, or devour air and does not create smoke.
Ways It can be used:
-Blasts/Fire Balls: Projectile combat use, blasts and thrown fireballs, and he can control any void flames he creates with his mind.
-Constructs: It can be used to form hand held objects, including mele weapons like swords, axes, daggers etc.
Weaknesses/Limits:
-Putting Out: Like normal fire it can be put out with liquids like fire, it does technically eat liquids, but it's so slow that it doesn't matter. And anything that can put out normal fire will do the same to void fire.
-Non-Weakness: This fire does not count for those who have a weakness to normal fire. For example, an ice mage's bad weakness to fire would not be triggered by void fire, doesn't mean it can't hurt them, it just won't count for that particular weakness.
-Presence: The fire will vanish if the user leaves the area or if they die.
-Vulnerability: The user is not immune to the flame after its left his body. They'll need to control it with their mind and avoid physical contact.
-Fire: This power does not grant immunity to normal fire, the user can still be burnt and negatively affected by heat.
-Control: Void Fire is very hard to control, at this point Jack is only able to control a certain amount of the fire. It can be very straining on his mind, using the basic uses listed above are easy enough, but larger spreading void fires can be dangerous to him, bigger fires equal more strain, eventually causing physical weakness and even passing out.
-Draining: The use of the fire can be quite draining, especially in extended use. It'll drain his body of about everything, after use he'll need food and wanter. The longer he uses it the more drained he'll be, it can be quite dangerous, becoming dehydrated and lacking in nutrition if he's forced to use it a lot. It can be lethal if he isn't careful. Simple things, like brief blasts and thrown fireballs don't do much as there use is usually brief, the danger is sustaining an ongoing fire, controlling spreading flames is particularly draining, for example if he keeps the fire isolated to say a five by five area alone would drain him rather quickly, he'd start feeling the affects within 10 minutes, and the more the fire grows the more quickly it will drain him.
Limbo State: He died once, and crossed over into limbo, when he came back he was left in a state of being between life and death. This state has granted him a few abilities.
-1: Functional Immortality: He'll stop aging in a few years or so.
-2: Reapawn: If killed he'll reform, unfortunately he has to spend 24 hours in limbo until he can come back.
-3: Death Sight: He can see ghosts when there invisible and can hear them talk even if there cursed to be eternally unseen and unheard. Unfortunately it also makes him a beacon that attracts troubled spirits, those who've died horrible deaths and are in search of some form of resolution to allow them to cross over.
-4: Limbo Travel: He's able to travel to and from limbo. Its instant, but he can only do it once a week, so if he travels to limbo he'll need to spend a week there before returning to Earth, and once back he'll need to wait a week to go back to limbo.

•Jack Torrent was born Joshua Colvin in a the outskirts of town in England called Rodtren. It was a small town, homey, beautiful, a close nit community that took care of each other, a perfect place to grow up. So, for the first eleven years of his life, Joshua lived in peace.
•Then he turned eleven and things changed. First, there was the accident, it was simple, he'd fallen off a bride and died, spent a week in limbo for unknown reasons and came back, thought it was all a nightmare, parents thought he'd run away during that week. Well, he came hime, life went on, then a month later the incident happened. To this day he doesn't fully remember what happened, he remembers being in his bedroom when the black fire came from him, setting the walls around him ablaze. Then he woke up outside in his back yard, as he heard the screams and the fire seemed to devour his home with his family outside.
•Dazed and in shock, he wandered into Redtren. Eventually a few of the locals noticed him walking around, took him in. A police investigation happened, wasn't much left of the house, not enough to figure out what happened beyond some sort of fire. Joshua knew though, but he stated quiet, afraid of himself, afraid for others.
•A year later he found himself in something of home for troubled children near Liverpool. His emotions had become somewhat unstable, outbursts, fights and semi-destructive activity had become common for the young delinquent, but he did try to live. The black fire hadn't been seen in a year, but it'd left it's mark on his mind.
•Despite his troubles he lived the best he could in the home, making a few friends with similar issues, even finding something of a girlfriend. Said girlfriend was a year or two older, but they were sexually active despite their young age, it was perhaps not the most healthiest of relationships.
•Then he turned thirteen and it happened again, it was a smaller incident but it would affect him grearly. There was a bully, a cruel and troubled child, who targeted young Joshua and his friends. Eventually the situation escalated and he attacked Joshua and his girlfriend. The fire came Joshua again, and it devoured the bully. His girlfriend, shocked, horrified and confused ran from him, leaving him alone with his own emotional turmoil.
•So, he ran but he didn't get far, no someone found him. A man, who offered him help in controlling the fire, in Joshua's confusion, he accepted. That man was working for an organization, something of a military cult, a terrorist group. Very few knew of their existence, they'd remained in secret for a long while, they called themselves Black Star.
•To Black Star, Joshua was nothing but weapon, oh they definitely taught him some control, or at the very least how to turn it off and on, but they also brainwashed him, mind controlled him, everything they could do to control him, and for a long while they did. They'd send him places, mysterious and unusual fires would kill people they wanted dead, then they'd pick him up and send him elsewhere. Truly terrible, brainwashed or not, a part of him knew, and it ate at his soul.
•This went on for three years, death, fire and government cover ups. Then something happened, Joshua looked back at the people they'd had him killed, and all the brainwashing, all the mind control seemed to lose its hold. He burnt down the facility he was kept in, along with all the members of Black Star within. He walked away from what was left ofthe facility, as he did, they appeared, the ghosts, they followed him as they could help him.
•He ended up aimlessly wandering the English countryside, lost, thinking he'd gone made. Then a scout found him, part of an ongoing investigation into the mysterious black fire incidents. So the scout brought him to Manta Carlos.
•Taking on a new name, his time on Manta Carlos was not easy, he continued to struggle with his powers and emotions. He was a bit of a delinquent just as he had been before, he got in fights, arrested a few times for underaged drinking and smoking, but he adapted, grew up.
•He continues to live on the island, living the best he can, day to day, dealing with his personal demons. Being an immortal, he has a long life ahead of him.

•Changed his name to Jack Torrent when he came to the island, largely because he didn't think he was the same person anymore.
•At this point his accent is light, what is present is bits and pieces from different English accents.
•Though he's been visited by some of the ghosts of the people he's killed, he's yet to see the ghosts of his family.
•Family consisted of himself, his parents and five siblings. He was the youngest.
•Doesn't actually remember where he got the red gemed necklace, but pretty much always wears it.
