Its been slow but Amber has slowly been readjusting herself in being in public places, especially after the kidnappers have captured. The fear that she was going to be whisked away from her family again terrified her for days but now... now she had peice of mind. Still... the kidnappings has taken one thing from her: feeling safe. While she was better about it now, she always had to check her shoulder every other minute it seemed just to make sure the shadows really where shadows. She had taken to wearing the GPS bracelet so that her mom could always find her if she was taken again but... it wouldn't exactly stop them from taking her again...

But... that didn't stop her from visiting the local bookstore by herself, she has come here enough times the the lady has come to recognize her so she was naturally worried when news of her kidnapping became public. While she had money on her, she insisted that she could get any book for free so decided to get the Hunger Games book. People told her how good it was so she has been meaning to read it for some time. She bought a few other books that she was insist on playing for before she departed. Her mom had to pick up something from the local apothecary not far from the bookstore she was just in. She promised to meet her there like usual so once she had picked out her reading material.

Her mind was so focused on her mother that the moment she left however, she clumsily bumped into what she thought was street post. "Ooofff... owww..." moaned Amber as she collected the book that she dropped on the sidewalk. It was she she lowered her torso that she saw the clawed feet at the base of the lamp post... which was not a lamp post at all. It was... a giant spider leg!

She next thought that she bumped into one of her mom's legs in a surprise visitation but her quickly ruled that out as the leg was far thicker and... hairier. When her set of 6 eyes looked up to the giant figure of spider, she looked to them in awe... not for his size and musculature but because they were male! She never knew that there was male members of the arache species... all of the other spider people that she has known of or heard of had always been exclusively female.

"Wwwhooooaaaa..." drawled out Amber, in absolute awe of the giant sexy spider dude in front of her. He... could be her uncle for all she knew.

This land was making no sense to Drex Di'Ardun. Even with a map he was getting lost. Unlike the Home Cavern where he could just follow the guidance of the Matriarchy and the signs. But this place was just so different that he couldn't even understand where he was on the Goddess forgotten map. His steps sounded loud on the created-stone, or whatever they called it, as he looked down between the map and the walk way ahead of him he grimaced. This wasn't the direction he had wanted to go at all. He was about to turn around and head back the way he came when he felt a small impact on one of his legs out of sight.

Turning he looked down at where the person who had bumped into him might be and he found to his surprise another female of the Race. For a flash of a moment he feared for his life. Even the smallest of the Matriarchy would kill him if he had gotten in the way. Immediately Drex bowed his upper body towards the little one. "I must apologize my lady. I did not let myself be aware of my surroundings causing me to be in your way. Please allow me to serve in any way you wish."

"Uhhh..." was all she could utter at the moment as the gentlemanly half-spider bowed before like royalty. Part of her was almost flattered by being treated in such a way... even if she was attracting some undue attention. She glanced off to the left and a few faces staring at the two them. Now she felt a little embarrassed.

"I-its okey! I was distracted too... heh soo... well-" Amber pauses herself as she replayed what the male spider said ealier in her mind. Serve her in anyway she wished right? Part of her wanted to test those words... but the other part of her told her that she shouldn't let the power over someone get into her head. "- its okey! Actually... ummm... I hope you don't mind but since we bumped into each other... can I ask you a few questions? I never met a boy spider-person like myself before."

Amber then placed the backpack she was wearing down on the ground and pulled out a netbook and pen. She was naturally curious of the stranger and wanted to compare and contrast the similarities and differences between them. After all, she and Arcach were both Archnee demons but their abilities and forms differed greatly. And this provided a golden opportunity to try to come up with new conclusions about her skin.

The little one did not say anything at first which worried Drex as it could mean she was contemplating a punishment for him. Then listening to the young one say it was also her fault made the hair on the back of his neck stand up. This would be terrible... with his head exposed as he had left his helm back in the place he was given to rest she would probably see his ebony skin turn more grey as the blood drained from his face. He must have insulted her terribly.

Then he heard her say that she wanted to ask questions about him. Simply put he was probably a dead man and his father's line along with him if this ever reached the Home Cavern. But knowing that a rapid response would make his death quicker he spoke up as soon as the little inquisitor was finished speaking. "Of course my lady. I shall answer any questions you might desire of me."

Amber couldn't help but grin! There there was so many little curiosities rummaging through her brain that she couldn't quite wrap them all inside her mind. "Ah! Okey so... soooo... hrmmm..." Amber bites gently on her lower lip, clacking her pen while organizing her thoughts. She almost felt like a journalist at the moment... so maybe she should start with the simplest questions first.

"Ummm... lets start with your name?" spoke up Amber, scribbling a few few notes down before resuming "Oh and where are you from and what is your occupation?"

Yeah, simple questions but its a start, she could always follow them up with additional questions once she learns a few things about him first. Maybe something about where is is from or what he does could explain his appearance and how large he is. She always thought her mother as large but this male dwarfs her... which is curious as most female spiders are far larger then the male but then they were not typical spiders.

By the goddess, this little one goes right for the throat. "I was given then name Drex Di'Ardun. Like my father's line before me. I had the privilage to defend the Home Cavern by the grace of the Goddess, from all foes seeking to eradicate the race. It was during a heated conflict with the foe that pushed me into this realm. I am currently looking for a way home my lady so that I may return to my duty." Drex began to pray for mercy with the goddess. Let his answers be suitable enough that if the little one decided that he would find death swiftly.

He couldn't help but also notice that while he stood there he was blocking to foot trafic of those around him that his mind was trying to scream at him were enemies but had to remind himself that this was neutral territory. Or at least equivalent, if he was to attack anyone here he would just get himself into more trouble than was worth. He needed to find a way home. But seeing as how his bulk was getting in the way he had to figure something out. "Um, my lady. We are blocking the flow of trade in this area. Is there somewhere else I can answer your questions?"

Amber quickly scribbles down down Drex's responses onto her notepad. He mentioned something about his Home Cavern and a goddess. This was curious, as unlike herself, he may not be a demonic spider person. So just... a regular spider-person? He may as well hail from a different world or even a different dimension much like her mom Chloe. Drex mentioned how it was during heated combat that he was somehow dragged here... maybe he was put under some spell? Teleportation gone awry? Intentional?

"Huh?" blanked Amber, taking a moment to replay Drex's suggestion in her mind before it registered that they may have been blocking the flow of foot traffic.

"Oh, I guess we are taking up space... but yeah... if you don't mind we can make our way to the apothecary. Its not usually all that busy and I should be making my way down there anyway to meet my mother." suggested Amber, glancing over to see all of the people walking around them. She shtugs and looks back Drex

"But we can still talk while we walk down there together. Its not too far but it will take a while to get there with all of these people. Anyways.... can I bother you with another question? Or... maybe you have question for me? It seems that your appearance here on the island was rather sudden."

"Ah, that is something familiar. It is good to know that this foreign place still uses apothecaries." Even as Drex said this he heard the rest of the young ones statement. They were bringing him to their mother. so this is how I die... Drex thought as he felt his body chill in terror. Though he figured he might as well finish answering questions. "I have nothing to hide from the Matriatchy my lady."

Even with questions burning on his tongue he dared not ask any of them. "Unfortunately my lady, it was during battle that an enemy mage opened a portal under me while I was being push back by the main line. I found myself falling from the sky into the near by forest. There I meet another young lady who helped me to the Academy. That has been my last three days my lady." Drex hoped this helped the young one. Maybe they would ask for a swift death for him since he was being as cooperative as he has been.

"Uhh huh? Mhmmm... interesting. " noted Amber as she scribbles down a few notes. In her dainty handwriting she writes down some hypothesis as to where Drex was originally from. A secret underground kingdom of spiderfolk? Another magical dimension in parallel with her own? Another planet but with his own unique magic? Maybe some reclusive section of one of the hells? She nibbles on the butt end of her pen, trying to unravel this mystery. Maybe she had a future in journalism?

"Alright well... can you maybe discribe to me your cavern a bit more in detail? Also... you mentioned a battle? With whom were you fighting with? They must of had powerful magics to send here in Mantra Carlos. And... you said you have nothing to hide from... the Matriarchy?" asked Amber. She wanted to narrow down Drex origins but was aware that he might be stranded on this island for some time. It was fortunate that he arrived here in Mantra Carlos of all places on earth... which made her curious if it was just coincidence or if the magical nature of the island drew Drew here when the portal opened.

Drex waited for the little one to finish asking her questions before beginning to answer them. "The Home Cavern... well it is the most beautiful city. Words hardly describe it. But it is a very large city where most of the commons are on the floor of the cavern while the many Great Houses reside in the Pillars of the city. It is not this... bright or boggy in the Cavern. It is always as cool and dry as the Goddess decides. I do not know much more about that. But there were over thirty Great Houses last time I resided in the city. Di'Ardun is one such Great house." Drex let his gaze wander away from the little one, still following of course but he needed to check for any dangers that might be lurking in this overly bright surface city.

"As for those that I was engaged with when I was tossed into the sky. They were the cursed Light Elves from their 'Eternal Forest'" Drex Spat onto the side walk like he had just tasted a rotten apple. "They are only strong in their numbers. They do not know of true strength, but it was a group of their mages that ripped open the very fabric of the world to push me out of the way so they could attempt to take the Home Cavern. I do not think they conciously chose to put me in this area."

The larger spider demon was a little angry now. Not at the little one of course, but at the memory of his failure to keep the Home Cavern safe. But Drex knew that he had one more question to answer for the little one. "The Matriarchy is... well it's the Matriarchy. Every female of the Race is a part of the Matriarchy. From the moment they breath their first breath until they release their last. They are above men such as I. Far above, for they serve the Goddess and by serving the Matriarchy I serve my Goddess..." Drex turned his gaze down once more to the little one. "Did I answer my lady's questions adequately?"
