"Well....you need your allowance to buy things you need," he'd say with a thoughtful hum. "Like I have a job, plus my allowance so it isn't really a problem," plus he did like to pay things when they went out.
"Let's see how much it costs first," he'd suggest. "Then we can figure out pay and all that," he wasn't necessarily against her helping pay, but it really just depended on how much.
"Either way...," he'd grin, "it should be fun." The island definitely had multiple options for creative dates. "Museums aren't exactly romantic, but we could do it for Valentine's Day, plus dinner."
