This place was strange. Strange, new and potentially dangerous, so Kahi was performing the basic procedure for when she was in a new environment. Establish a home base, and then gradually scout the surrounding area and search for good sources of water and food and shelter. And that was what Kahi had been doing this whole time, while being worried sick, scared out of her mind and grieving over her family and friends. She wondered where they were, if were they scared or lost, or hurt, or being tortured or killed. Kahi didn't doubt that the monsters that had imprisoned them would be capable of that. And if she some day would get the chance for revenge...
Kahi growled a bit to herself as she flew in this new area she had found, a drop of poison dripping from her claw when she itched to sink those claws into her kidnappers.

This area smelled suspicious. Kahi was almost certain there were eyes on her, even though she was moving with stealth. But her scent hadn't attracted any predators yet, just few bugs that had been almost as big as Kahi. Naturally she had eaten them. And now Kahi suspected she was getting too deep into the woods, the atmosphere was getting more and more ominous and Kahi's fight or flight instinct told her to fly. That was exactly what Kahi began doing, and turned around so she could fly out of this area of the forest as quickly as possible. But that was when the scent of blood entered Kahi's nose. She froze for a moment and looked towards the direction the smell was coming from, its source wasn't far. Smell of blood was never good, Kahi should get out of here, the one who made the wounded creature bleed could still be close, it might've been a fight, or-
But someone could be in trouble.
Kahi let out a frustrated grunt and quickly and quietly stalked towards the obvious danger. And when she landed on a tree branch just by the source of the smell and looked down Kahi saw a creature, a rather badly wounded creature, laying on the ground.

Following that strange fae had proven a mistake, they'd abandoned her in the forbidden forest, where she'd quickly been injured by one of the strange creatures. She'd escaped, her side clawed, bleeding as she laid there under a tree, not a good way to start things in her new home. .

Then, through the pain she picked up a scent, similar to a lizard, but also a butterfly, also oddly smelt of dragon. Slowly the sheep girl would open her eyes, the glowing orbs looking up at the visitor. She'd grunt and try to adjust how she was laying, everything seemed to hurt, her head was spinning.

Looking at the tiny insectoid dragon she'd slowly wave a single finger in greeting, she wasn't sure if the tiny creature was sapient or not, but she needed help.

It didn't take long for the strange creature to notice Kahi, and when their strange glowing eyes turned to look at her Kahi backed away further into the shadows. She waited for an attack, or any other aggressive gestures or movements. But there were none, and instead the creature lifted a finger and waved at Kahi. Kahi frowned a bit, this creature didn't seem aggressive, or like a predator. But still Kahi didn't approach immediately, and instead kept watching the creature for a minute or two more.

After waiting for a short while Kahi began slowly inching down along the tree trunk, not wanting to fly in an open area and draw attention to herself and her colourful wings. And the whole time Kahi kept an eye on the creature in case it made any sudden movements. And finally Kahi got to the lower part of the tree trunk, near the creature's eye level. And Kahi observed it, it seemed to be a sentient creature, and she tilted her head a bit, ever cautious.
"Do you require assistance?"
Kahi said in her own language, though she doubted this creature would understand her. All the living beings on this island spoke some strange other language. To Corvian Kahi's speech would sound like a series on chirps, clicks and throat sounds, ending with a small screech-like s-sound.

Corvian of course didn't understand her, in fact she wasn't even aware that the little dragon was sapient. The small fae girl tried to sit up only for the pain to shoot through her, making her collapse back down, her hands going to her injuries.

This was not a good start to living in her new home, she thought Manta Carlos was about acceptance, but the first person she'd met tried to get her killed. She'd breath hard as the pain faded into a dull ache, some tears flowing out of the eye holes in her mask.

The young fae looked back up at the dragon, her eyes filled with fear and pain. She didn't want to die, not after having survived all the other stuff she'd seen.

Of course the creature didn't understand Kahi, just as the small dragon had expected. Kahi watched with concern as the creature struggled to sit up, only to collapse back down. Her injuries were still bleeding, and Kahi was worried about excessive blood loss. Now there was no time to act timid anymore.

Kahi took flight and flew over to the creature's face. There were tears coming from its eyes, it was in pain and afraid. Kahi's heart went to it, and she set one of her small legs gently on the creature's cheek.
"Don't worry, I will help you."
Kahi said, but Corvian would just hear low, gentle purring-like noise. Kahi slithered over to where the creature's wounds were, and pushed her legs against its hands, telling it to keep pressure on the wound. And when Kahi did this she looked Corvian straight in the eyes, trying to say "Do you understand?" with her gaze.

As soon as the creature would seem calm enough Kahi would fly behind its back and take a firm grip of whatever article of clothing she could find. Normally Kahi would've constructed a primitive carrying device, but this place was dangerous and she didn't know the area. So the best option was to get away, and quick. And with slight difficulty Kahi would lift the creature, she was strong but carrying a fully grown being like this required some tenacity. And if Corvian didn't panic or move too much Kahi would start flying out of this area, going as fast as she could and dared with this package she was carrying.

She'd watch the small dragon, she couldn't understand her language but her actions and body language allowed her to figure out her intentions. It was strange, despite the lack if normal communication the small being's presence was almost comforting.

Then she was lifted up by her clothes, flinching as the movement shot pain through her. This was all very unexpected, she wouldn't think such a small creature would be able to carry het, yet here they were.

Her vision blurred as she glanced around and then up at her tiny savior. It was strange, going from one person abandoning her to death to another trying to save her. It made her wonder what the rest of the island was like.

The creature flinched once when Kahi lifted it, no wonder since its wounds looked quite painful. But Kahi was as gentle as she could be, and thankfully they didn't encounter any of the beasts that Kahi could sense lurking in the woods. Kahi also changed course few times when she could see, hear or smell something in their path. But it didn't take long for them to get out of the dangerous area and into more peaceful, normal woods. In her head Kahi took a note to never enter that area again, it was clearly dangerous.

Kahi set the creature down on a spot with soft, long grass as gently as she could. She flew over to where the creature's face was, to check if it was still conscious and to offer comfort with her presence. So the creature wouldn't think Kahi had left it alone.
"I will go and find something to lessen the bleeding, here, turn so your bleeding side is upwards."
Kahi knew that the creature couldn't understand anything she was saying, but Kahi was also doing it to keep herself concentrated. Kahi nudged and pushed the creature from its back until it was laying on its uninjured side. Kahi pressed the creature's hands against the wounds one more time as a reminder to keep the pressure on the wound and flew over to its head and patted its cheek once more before raising one of her toes, as in "Wait", and flew off to find medical herbs.

It didn't take long for Kahi to find so heklek and juba, or so her people called them, plants that helped stoo bleeding. She collected them, chewed them into a mixed paste and stored them into a leaf before she flew back to the creature. It took Kahi about 25 minutes to do all this. And when Kahi returned she set the paste and many big leaves on the ground that she was going to use as bandages. Kahi looked at the creature, pointed at what she had brought and then at the creatures wounds, hoping it would understand Kahi was going to try and treat it now.

Corvian tried to remain still during the ride, grateful that the small dragon was friendly and seemed to want to help. She'd grunt a little as she was lowered to the ground, rolling to where her would was up as the small being nudged her.

Her head was swirling and her vision blurred but she managed to stay awake for now. She watched as the small dragon flew off, panicking she tried to sit up but failed to and laid back down. She was alone again, she didn't want to die here.

The young fae felt relief when the dragon returned, watching as they landed, carrying leaves. She'd nod as the creatures gestured to the injuries, she was going to treat them, she'd try and stay as still as possible.

The creature gave its blessing for Kahi to treat the wounds, and she got right to work. Kahi flew on the creature's side, right by the wounds, with the paste she had made. Kahi had spread the paste evenly on a leaf, and it acted as a kind of medical patch. Kahi would carefully use her claws to slice and clear away any clothing that was possibly blocking the wounds, take the leaf and apply it on the wounds, pressing it down tightly against the skin. Corvian would feel a slight sting and then warm sensation, as the herbs began surpressing the bleeding. These herbs would also lessen the possibility of an infection.

Next Kahi would take the big leaves she had found and put them on top of the medical patch, and she would use the parts of the clothes that had been ruined and make them into a string. Kahi crawled under the creature and pulled the string through, and used that to tie the leaves firmly on top of the wounds.
Now Kahi was done with her first aid, and she considered it decent under these circumstances. She again flew over to where the creature's face was to check on it, and see if it was still conscious.

The young fae would flinch ever so slightly as the leaf and paste were applied to her wound. The warmth that followed was welcome albeit unexpected, in fact everything that's happened since her arrival was unexpected.

She'd take a shaky breath, her glowing eyes looking to the insect dragon, wishing she had her voice so that she could at least try to thank her. Corvian would try to sit up but would only manage to get onto on elbow and slow look around and back to the dragon.

She was still lightheaded but wasn't hurting quite as bad. There was the question of what she should do now though. The small creature seemed kind buy being unable to communicate with her was a potential issue.
