[ Aisling Bierne ]
Aisling always said that Samhain was her favorite holiday of the year. It was the time of festivities to mark the end of harvest and the beginning of the winter season. And she loved winter season! It was the time when the boundary between here and the otherworld thinned, allowing spirits and fae to roam free. Of course, she usually didn't join in such festivities, but she enjoyed being a spectator just as much.
The dullahan was just so looking forward to the celebration that she even had the kitchen staff prepare a special menu for the month of October as a promo. She'd given her employees an entire month to prepare for the main event, costumes and everything. For the cafe decors, there wasn't much she could actually do but in the spirit of participation, she made a few modifications to actually say that it is in fact, Halloween. (To be fair, it always looked like was Halloween at Sleepy Hollow all year round.) The double doors to Coiste Bodhar was wide open, allowing use of its tables for more cafe-goers. Its dream-like ambiance overflowed into the main area, giving it a similiar vibe. Right by the cafe's doors, visible from outside through the window was a tower of pumpkin-shaped buckets filled with treats for the trick-or-treaters that came by.
Sleepy Hollow Cafe turned out to be a popular destination for people during this time of the year, both for trick-or-treating kids and some who wanted to feel the holiday at the comfort of the familiar cafe. Aisling herself was in costume: her ensemble something different from usual petticoats, as she chose to wear a long, light blue, A-lined dress instead, and in place of the usual veil, she wore a red cape with its hood pulled up to hide her head (or lack thereof).
With the number of guest coming and going in the cafe, she managed to get an excuse to hop around tables and personally hand goodie bags to kids that went by when she had the chance. She enjoyed the buzz of the cafe more than anything. Aisling would likely truly love Samhain most in Manta Carlos.
