Max considered this for a few minutes, finally shrugging and grinning. "Eh. The pros outweigh the cons." A few more seconds of thought and then he shook his head, ticking them off on his fingers as he announced them. "Well, no. You really don't got no cons to you. You aren't heavy, boring, cutesy, annoyingly sinister... The list goes on."

He glanced back at her, covering his head with both hands jokingly. "You're not going to knock my face in for complimenting you, then, are you?"

"No, as long as you stay cute and nice, and interesting. Though if you dropped me you'd get in trouble with the people who watch you... " She said with a laugh...

"Hmm, I suppose I would." He laughed, shaking his head sadly. "They'd be all lookin' at the bruises going" - He paused, switching to a falsetto shockingly different from his normal low tone - "Did that Maxwell hit you? You can tell me, you're safe from him now. Bet’cha he didn’t tell you he was insane, hmm?" He laughed, steel blue eyes swirling upwards. "I suppose you can't really blame them..."

She smiled... "Well, I wouldn't rat on you... unless you threw me half a mile and ran over me with a car then I'd rat..." She said with a laugh...

Max considered this. "So if I threw you a quarter of a mile and ran over you with a bicycle, you'd just give various hints to my guiltiness? Aww... You're the best friend ever."

She laughed... "Well, if you want to throw me a quarter mile then your not very nice... But if you were insane at the time then I'd forgive you and let it slide... though that's if I was still alive."

"Well, I'd set you down gently, of course." Max defended himself, acting offended that she thought he wouldn't. "I'm a perfect gentleman, remember." He laughed, turning a corner and consulting a map before pulling open the door to a flight of stairs. "Just down here... You still feeling ok?"

She smiled.... "Yes, thanks to you! Don't drop me down the stairs that'd hurt... I feel like I own you... for breaking my fall and all... How about I take you out to dinner my treat, when I'm better?"

Max considered this for a few seconds, finally shaking his head decisively. "Nope. I'm way too much of an old fart when it comes to that sort of thing, as you've no doubt noticed by now... The only way I'd be able to stand it is if you let me be the one doing the treating, hmm?"

She smiled... "Well maybe I can find some way in which to pay you back for your kindness? Is there?"
