Isaulta "Isa" Aradhel
The Conqueror Queen

36 | February 2nd | Female| Pansexual | Elf | Citizen | Ex-Queen, CEO

APPEARANCE

(Above art of Isa and her daughter Tabby by Nil)
Isa is fairly tall, standing at 6' 8", with an hourglass figure with broad shoulders and a large chest, while much thinner in the waist, and obvious child-bearing hips. Isa's hair is wavy and kept cut short. Her hair is light blonde, while her eyebrows are darker and stand out prominently against her pale skin. Her eyes are like topaz, piercing and enigmatic. Isa's ears are pointed, giving away her elven heritage.

Isa has grown accustom to modern styles on Manta Carlos, preferring to remain fashionable and classy. However, she also insists on wearing a dramatic cape in the colder months. She is almost always seen wearing black gloves.

Physical appearance is very important to Isa, and no one will ever see her outside of her mansion in casual clothing, and certainly not without makeup either.

PERSONALITY
It is apparent to anyone who meets Isa that she was brought up in royalty. She is proper and polite, but also haughty and dramatic. She’s also rather eccentric, with an attention span that bounces around rapidly from one thing to another.

As a princess and a queen, she was trained from a young age to emphasize her best traits, to avoid showing any sort of weakness, and to be absolutely meticulous when it comes to her appearance. But she is not entirely shallow, even if that may seem like the case on the surface. Family is incredibly important to her, despite her own weird circumstances with her parents, and she deeply loves her children. There is conflict with her children, especially her teenage daughter Tabitha, but her children mean the world to her and Isa works incredibly hard to ensure that they have a good life. Unfortunately, this also means she is often busy and away—which means spending less time with the two. But when she does spend time with them, she appreciates every precious second.

In her home dimension, Isa is perceived as both ‘like a man’ and ‘like a woman’ because, while that society has strict gender roles, Isa was trained to function as both. She was trained to be a proper Queen, focused on not only being a good wife to her husbands, but to be a strong diplomat and knowledge in ruling over kingdoms. But she also trained in the art of war and combat—learning strategy, how to lead, and even physical combat such as fencing and using a bow and arrow.

Isa is a survivor and an adaptor. She had to be, between having multiple kingdoms turn against her and having to adapt to a variety of locations as she married her multiple husbands.

While Isa is pansexual and attracted to both genders. She tries to avoid dating men, but...well, it happens. Dating men is alright, but marriage is what can be a potential problem. Isa has a curse on her--that any man she marries is destined to die shortly after. Many men died as a result of her being unaware of the curse, and the guilt has prompted her general avoidance of becoming too close to men. While Isa would not claim to romantically love every man she was married to, as all her marriages were political in nature, she does feel guilty for their deaths. They were good men, and they did not deserve to die.

POWERS
As a child of a royal Elven bloodline, Isa was gifted by Hera’zi’tia: the Goddess of Light. Isa was one of the strongest forces in her entire realm thanks to her Blessing, famous for fighting wars without the aid of her citizens. Now that she is no longer in her realm, she is not as strong as she once was due to her severed connection from Hera’zi’tia. Because the Goddess’s presence is necessary to keep Isa’s home dimension stable, there is no chance of her traveling to Manta Carlos.

ACTIVE ABILITIES

Hera’zi’tia’s Golden Armor
Isa was gifted with magical armor that she can call to her body at any given time. It is not an instant process, as Isa has to sing an ancient song in order to summon the armor, along with her sword. The song takes around one minute to sing in full, and the armor will not completely phase onto her body until it is complete.

Hera’zi’tia’s Golden Sword
In addition to her armor, Isa also has a sword to match. It is a massive, two-handed sword that is made specifically to suit her in size and weight.

If her sword breaks, it will disappear. Isa will have to wait 24 hours in order to summon it again if it is broken or heavily damaged.

Creation of Light
Isa’s magic is based on the ability to take light and turn it into a temporary physical matter. When Isa removes her gloves, her hands absorb light and start to glow.

Isa's abilities are used ideally outside and pulled from the light of the sun. During the nighttime, she can pull light from the moon and the stars, as well as from fire or electricity. The phase of the moon will also determine how much she is able to accomplish, as well. During a full moon, she can still harness a decent amount of light. A new moon, on the other hand, offers almost nothing. She can pull from other light sources at night--such as fires or electricity, but that is only if they are available.

If Isa is in an area where she cannot pull from any light source whatsoever, such as a cave or a room with no windows, then...she can call for her armor and sword, but she cannot do anything related to her Creation of Light abilities.

She will have a natural disadvantage against characters whose powers are related to darkness.

Creation: Isa’s Creation ability is what gave her her reputation as an incredible war hero. By forming light into the form of a body, she can create non-sentient elves that will do whatever is asked of her. She can also form armor and weaponry for them.

With Isa’s abilities weakened due to the severed connection to her Goddess, Isa is only able to make up to 100 of these soldiers in sunlight and up to 50 during a full moon.

In the sunlight, Isa's soldiers are are nearly as strong as actual elves. In her home realm, the planet had multiple moons that gave off a bright glow, so there were never truly dark nights which allowed her to wage wars even in the dark--but on earth, there is only one moon, and her soldiers are weakened by the phases of the moon. The less of the moon is seen, the weaker they become.

Quick Fix: If something is broken, Isa can form light over the broken area to allow the object to ‘regenerate’ back to normal. For example, is she forms light over a crack in a vase, the crack will vanish and the vase will be in perfect condition again.

This only applies to objects, and is not a healing ability to be used on living creatures.

Weaponry: Isa can create temporary weapons by forming their basic shape. They can only last for a few strikes before vanishing. Perhaps just long enough to throw an attacker off, but not nearly long enough to maintain long-term combat. This temporary weaponry is typically given to her Creations.

Portals: Isa is able to use her powers to teleport between locations by forming a circle of light that she can phase through. She can travel anywhere she has been previously and can get a clear image of within her mind.

Her teleportation ability only works within the dimension she resides in—she cannot travel between dimensions.

PASSIVE ABILITIES

Lifespan
While Isa is not immortal, the elves of her realm have extremely long life spans stretching thousands of years. She will also remain eternally youthful.

Elven Physiology
The elves of Isa’s dimension are typically taller, faster in motion and slightly more durable than the average human. Elves can heal from more dire wounds than humans and can lose more blood before being at risk of death, but are not so immortal that they cannot potentially die if not properly treated.

Elves are typically physically weaker when it comes to brute strength, which they try to make up for in speed and strategy in combat.

Elves are also quite small and weak when they are children, only growing a bit stronger as they reach their teenage years.

WEAKNESSES

The Curse of the Goddess
While Isa is blessed by the Goddess, she is also cursed—although this curse was actually made in such a way to be beneficial to her parents. Any man she marries will die under mysterious circumstances, and as a Queen marrying Kings, this would mean the kingdoms of her dead husbands would fall under her rule.

Because Isa’s society is quite heteronormative, the curse only applies to husbands. If Isa should take a wife—which would not have even been possible in her own realm—the wife will be safe from the curse.

HISTORY
Isa was born to King Etun and Queen Fai’li of the Kingdom of Ir’ia in the realm of Fi—a world of a different dimension from Manta Carlos, where elves are the predominant humanoids. She was raised to be a proper and obedient princess trained to expand the kingdom of Ir’ia via political marriages. You know, the usual.

There were some…peculiarities about Isa, however. Peculiarities that Isa would not be aware of for many, many years—like the fact that she was granted strong powers, but was also cursed. Isa’s parents had made a deal with a Goddess to tailor their child in a very specific way. Isa was guaranteed to be born female, and would grow up to be an attractive woman who would be desirable to the kings of other countries. She would also have the ability to create entire armies—allowing their Kingdom to go to war without actually forcing a single citizen to fight.

Then there was the curse. A curse by definition of inconveniencing Isa’s life, but being of use to her parents. Any man that Isa married would lose his life shortly thereafter—which meant Isa would take control of his kingdom, and by extension, her family.

Basically, her parents intended her as a tool—and they did not tell her that she was both gifted and cursed by a Goddess. Perhaps they would have told her when she got older, but…they actually died shortly after marrying Isa off to her first husband. They put all this effort into raising the perfect daughter to expand their kingdom, and didn’t even get a chance to put her to use. Go figure.

But Isa was well-trained, and continued to function as she was raised.

Isa’s first husband was Ruiv Shir of the Kingdom of Vir. With him, Isa had her first child, Tabitha, when she was 19. The sight of her child initially horrified her—she had multiple eyes, blue skin, even a horn. Isa couldn’t begin to understand how this child came to be. Isa had always been told that her own beauty was an incredibly important trait, and that she would have beautiful children. But…that is not what happened.

For the first few months of Tabitha’s life, Isa would not interact with the child. Isa left the baby in the care of her staff while she wallowed in a deep depression over the birth of her first child going so terribly ‘wrong’ as she initially saw it.

But after a few months, Isa grew…more curious of her child, and began to make more frequent visits to her. She began to have a change of heart as the baby girl grew. She may have looked unusual, but she still behaved just like an ordinary little baby. Isa started to grow past her initial feelings, and was slowly feeling love for the child. Finally, there came a time where Isa asked to hold the child—and she never wanted to let go of her after that moment.

Of course, there were times when she had to leave her little girl. War broke out between the Kingdom of Vir and the neighboring kingdom of Dias—which took the marriage between Isa’s and Ruiv’s kingdom as a threat. It became Isa’s duty to subdue the Kingdom of Dias with her powers. She ‘painted’ an entire army to attack the kingdom, and as expected her powers allowed her to wage wars without a single casualty. Isa was hailed a hero.

It was later revealed that Tabitha’s appearance was actually due to her father—a nightmare monster disguising himself as an Elven King. His true identity was revealed in his death from a ‘mysterious illness.’ Because of the revelation, his death was perceived as a positive thing—as his kind were regarded as horrific monsters, and Isa’s reputation was now highly positive after winning the war against Dias. Of course, her half-nightmare daughter was still regarded with suspicion, but Isa would hear none of it.

Isa moved on to her 2nd husband and next kingdom a while after—of the kingdom of Iv’lica. He died shortly after the wedding, but it was already common knowledge that he was in poor health, so his death did not quite raise any red flags.

Isa had her second child, Brailan, with her 3rd husband—His Sworn King Maeval of the Altavi tribes. Isa and Maeval were actually quite fond of each other—they were not necessarily each other’s one true love, but they certainly liked each other enough that Isa was already pregnant before they were technically married.

Maeval died before his son was born. Again, this did not raise any red flags against Isa quite yet, as he did not die of illness as the previous two had but rather in combat. She had even told him to not go to battle against the rival tribe of Ivatla, to leave the combat to her painted beings, but he was a prideful man and it was his downfall.

The fourth husband, Fli’sin Ire of the Kingdom of Hie, lasted for a few months before dying of ‘mysterious illness.’ This was when doubt was starting to be cast on the elven queen. On the one hand, she was seen as a hero, but on the other hand she now had four dead husbands behind her and had taken over all of their kingdoms. Not to mention she still had her nightmare monster daughter…

Isa and Tabitha’s relationship was progressively becoming more and more estranged, and not long after Isa married her fifth husband, Ri Fa of the kingdom of Shir, Tabitha ran away. Both mother and brother were devastated to lose her, and Isa sent out spy after spy to find her daughter. Tabitha was clever though, and hid her identity well—they did not find her. Life had to go on, but both Isa and Brailan never lost hope of finding her again, someday.

Ri lasted the longest of the kings Isa married, staying alive for a few years rather than a few months or weeks as the others had. But eventually, he too succumbed to ‘mysterious illness.’ Isa’s reputation was starting to falter.

King Fier O’lande of the kingdom of Erri was the final straw as far as the various kingdoms under Isa's rule seemed concerned. After he died of ‘mysterious illness’ just months after their marriage, just about everyone seemed convinced that the rumors that Isa was intentionally killing her husbands for power were true.

Isa knew she was on borrowed time at that point. She needed to disappear. Isa and Brailan had returned to the Kingdom of Vir, the land of her first husband’s, when she realized that both their lives were in danger. It was also there, among a number of belongings, that she found a diary kept by her mother—where she learned of how her powers came to be, and how she was ‘cursed’ to kill her husbands. The funny thing about the curse, Isa came to realize, was that it only applied to men. In such a heteronormative world, there was no chance that Isa would ever marry a woman, so there was no reason for the curse to function should Isa ever take on a wife instead…

While she was grateful to finally learn the truth of why her husbands died, this newfound information could not be her top priority at the time. She needed to escape her kingdoms—hell, the entire realm. The idea of different dimensions, or ‘realms’ as they are typically referred to in Isa’s homeland, is not new to those of Isa's realm. In fact, Isa had a rare artifact that allows for such teleportation, but it came with one major problem: it could only teleport one individual. Either Isa or Bralin would have to go by themselves and leave the other behind. And it meant leaving Tabitha behind, too.

How lucky for her that Knife, a young girl with the ability to teleport between dimensions, showed up at just the right time. Knife resolved the problem of either Isa or Brailan having to remain behind, but…it didn’t resolve the issue of Tabitha.

Isa hated to leave Tabitha behind, but there was simply no time to find her. She had a feeling though--that if she left some clues and a way for Tabitha to return to her, that she would do so eventually. So she left the teleportation artifact behind for her—hidden in a secret place with special meaning to her daughter, inside an old stuffed animal she had left behind. Using his own powers, Brailan ensured that when Tabitha used the gem, it would take her directly to him. Brailan also left one of his favorite scarves on the toy, as a sign to Tabitha that he wanted to see her again.

Isa took with her a number of priceless artifacts, which were promptly sold once they reached Manta Carlos. They relied on the money from the sold artifacts for a while, as Isa adapted to this new land and, in particular, focused her attention on business. Really, becoming the CEO of a massive business did not seem all that different to running entire kingdoms, in Isa’s opinion. She decided to go into the business of beauty, skincare, and makeup. She enjoys the artistic capacity of makeup, and already has a deep knowledge of skincare and makeup thanks to her training as a queen back home.

As they had hoped, Tabitha did find the teleportation gem and returned to her mother and brother. Isa became further motivated to expand her business to ensure that the three of them would live a good life on Manta Carlos.
