Izzy is an insanely independent person. Given the limited involvement, her parents have had on her life she has learned to get by on her own without praise or encouragement. It's not to say that she doesn't want encouragement, but at this point in her life she feels she no longer needs it. her attitude towards authority does leave something to be desired as she has little if any respect for people in authority positions. rules are made to be broken, and she will not hesitate to step out of line whenever she can.

one of the few real perks that come with being a vampire is the increased strength and speed that comes with it. While she is not a one woman wrecking crew, she is considered superhuman simply because she exceeds the abilities of a normal human. She can't lift a car, but she can rip a car door off. Speed is not much more than that of an average human and is really a byproduct of the increased strength of her legs. In the air though she is like a falcon, and able to dive at over 200 mph.

While in her Vampire form she is able to fly with her massive wings. She is also able to glide fairly well. While flying she is not able to use her hands, nor is she able to carry more than 100 pounds or so more than her own weight.

There was not much exciting in Izzy's life before being turned. She was born a happy and healthy baby girl. Her famil was incredibly well off due to her grandfather's business venture which had passed down to her father. She was an only child for the first few years of her life until her brother was born three years after her.
Growing up she was pushed to succeed, and given the best of everything. She was placed in piano lessons before she could even walk, and sent to only the finest educational facilities available. her brother was treated in a similar fashion.
For the most part, Izzy went along with everything as she was too young to know better. She didn't have any friends growing up, aside from the help her parents kept around to care for her and her brother. At the age of 8, Izzy was enrolled in fencing, following in the footsteps of her father, while her brother was destined to become a swimmer.
Between school, Piano and fencing there was little down time for the young girl, and she quickly adapted to the hectic lifestyle her parents had laid out for her. Despite her parent's encouragement in her activities, they were never actually present in her life. Her father was always working, and her mother was always out being a trophy wife.
As the years went on Izzy started to rebel as most children do in some way. For her, it was the world of rock and heavy metal. She heard it while at school and became enthralled with its anti-Authority message, and soul raising sounds. She began paying students at her school to pick her up albums so she could sneak them home and listen in private. She was often caught, and punished for her music choice, but rather than dissuade her from listening, it only encouraged her to keep going with it. Before long she was teaching herself to play along with her favorite songs on the Piano.
She was only 17 when she was turned into a vampire. In a clear attempt to rebel against her parents she snuck out one night to go to a party. It was at this party that she met a boy. Strangely she can't remember much about him, though this was probably due to the influence of liquor. She spent most of the night with the young man, talking and eventually making out. Towards the end of the party they slipped into another room for some privacy, and before she knew what was going on he was on her. He bit her and drank her blood, only stopping when someone entered the room while looking for a bathroom.
Izzy fled the scene and made her way home, locking herself in her room for the rest of the week. She died, and painfully returned as a vampire. She did this alone. When her parents found out, they were distraught and called the academy to send someone to pick her up.

Scout: Just so you know I need to record this for the academy, It's just a formality.
Izzy: Yeah whatever.
Scout: Right. So it is 11:34 PM. I am with miss Isabella Belmont. My name is Timothy Willows, the Scout assigned to this case.

Scout: So. Can I call you Izzy?
Izzy: I don't care what you call me.
Scout: Izzy it is then. Can I start by saying how happy I am to meet you?
Izzy: Pft. You can.
Scout: I have heard a lot about you and after reading your files I must say I am very impressed.

Scout: So tell me. How has your life changed since being turned?
Izzy: My Life? Well for starters I am dead... How bout that? My life changed by ending.
Scout: I'm sorry. That question was rather bad, wasn't it? Let's try again. What sort of changes have you been experiencing over the last few weeks?
Izzy: Oh you know.. My voice is cracking, and I'm growing hair in weird places, and I'm starting to notice boys.
[Scout Laughs]
Scout: My, my. You are a witty one. I will need to keep my wits about me. How about this. you have changed since you were bitten. Your parents say you're stronger now. What's that like for you?
Izzy: I can bend you into a pretzel.

Scout: No need to be Modest. I can see that you were lined up with an academic scholarship, and a musical scholarship. That's very impressive.You play Piano if I'm not mistaken. You know I used to play a little, though probably nowhere near as good as you.
Izzy: It helps that I like music I guess.
Scout: So what kind of music do you like?
Izzy: Honestly? I like Metal. But my parents don't allow me to listen to it. And the last time I tried to play it... well, it wasn't good.
Scout: Metal? Like Amon Amarth?
[Silence]
Izzy: Yeah... And Priest, and Sabbath, among others.
[Scout chuckles]
Scout: You have good tastes, my dear. And you can play them on the Piano? Must have been tough without sheet music.
Izzy: It was. But I listened to the music whenever I could, and learned it by ear.

Izzy: Anyways. You had more questions or what?
Scout: Yes. I did have a few. *The sound of flipping papers* Your file says you fence as well. That's a pretty neat hobby.
Izzy: Yeah I guess. Parents thought it was some sort of Noble sport and had me doing it for years.
Scout: Plenty of people would love to know how to do that. You know... If I recall, I think we have a fencing team at the Academy.

Scout: That's not how we work. We encourage different types of people to live comfortably. cutting you off from this side of yourself would not be good at all.
Izzy: Oh... Well... Anyways what do you think? Pretty freaky right? *flapping noise*

Scout: Very freaky... That's actually quite the wingspan you have there. I'm guessing around 12 to 15 feet.
Izzy: Yeah. Like 14 ish actually.
Scout: Mhm. and how about hand function. I can tell most of your fingers are used in the wings themselves.
[Izzy Laughs]
Izzy: hand function? With these... Not likely. I can hook my thumb thing, and alter the width of the wings with my fingers but that is it. If I want to use my hands, I don't change into this form.
Scout: That's fair. So How often do you drink blood?
[Silence]
Izzy: As often as I can. I mean... It's still not enough. My parents barred my windows so I can't even get out anymore.
Scout: Are you taking people?
Izzy: Oh Hell no... I ain't hurt anyone. If you're trying to stick me with a crime you got another thing coming. I haven't touched anyone. find the asshole that did this to me and you'll find yer killer or whatever. Seriously what makes

Scout: So we know what type of blood you need. We have a large network of blood donors on the island, so we can accommodate the feeding habits of all types of vampires.
Izzy: Blood Donor? Like willing people?
Scout: In some cases yes. Most of the time it's packaged for easy consumption.

Scout: Yes actually.

[Izzy Interupts]

[Long Silence broken by pained moans]
Scout: Are You ok Izzy? That looked like it hurt.
Izzy: Yeah... It does. Maybe I'm not used to it or something.
Scout: So it always hurts? we have Medical Staff at the school and a world-class hospital. Maybe they can help that.
Izzy: Why would you help that? Wouldn't you want it to hurt me so I can't do it?
Scout: That's not how we work. We encourage different types of people to live comfortably. cutting you off from this side of yourself would not be good at all.

[Scout chuckles]
Scout: Very freaky... That's actually quite the wingspan you have there. I'm guessing around 12 to 15 feet.
Izzy: Yeah. Like 14 ish actually.
Scout: Mhm. and how about hand function. I can tell most of your fingers are used in the wings themselves.
[Izzy Laughs]
Izzy: hand function? With these... Not likely. I can hook my thumb thing, and alter the width of the wings with my fingers but that is it. If I want to use my hands, I don't change into this form.
Scout: That's fair. So How often do you drink blood?
[Silence]
Izzy: As often as I can. I mean... It's still not enough. My parents barred my windows so I can't even get out anymore.
Scout: Are you taking people?
Izzy: Oh Hell no... I ain't hurt anyone. If you're trying to stick me with a crime you got another thing coming. I haven't touched anyone. find the asshole that did this to me and you'll find yer killer or whatever. Seriously what makes
[Scout Interupts]
Scout: I was not suggesting you hurt anyone. I just am making a note as to your feeding preference that's all.
Izzy: Why?
Scout: So we know what type of blood you need. We have a large network of blood donors on the island, so we can accommodate the feeding habits of all types of vampires.
Izzy: Blood Donor? Like willing people?
Scout: In some cases yes. Most of the time it's packaged for easy consumption.
[Izzy Laughs]
Izzy: What Like a juice box?
Scout: Yes actually.
[Izzy Laughs]
Scout: I am entirely serious my dear. We take care of people on Manta Carlos.
Izzy: Sounds like paradise. So what's the catch?
Scout: No catch. it's no trick. It's a safe and independent community for people with powers, and of different species.
Izzy: I bet it costs a fortune to go, though. Good thing my parents are rich and eager to get rid of me.
Scout: Errr. About that. It's free. the island has its own economy and sustains itself with plenty left over. So There was little need for this.
[indistinct rustling followed by a gasp]
Scout: Your parents gave me this in hopes that I could take you tonight. I am certain they are packing your things as we speak. The thing is. I would be happy to take you now. I think you would thrive in our community. So I'm going to give you this cheque, and you can do with it as you will.
[Silence]
[Izzy Crying]
Scout: Izzy? Are you ok?
[Sound of a scuffle]
[Written in between the lines that Izzy hugged the scout while crying]
Scout: It's ok. Take a deep breath.
[sobbing]
Scout: Shhh. We are going to make sure you are taken care of.
Scout: Izzy. I am going to end the interview and we are going to go get your things and leave for the airport. Don't worry. Things can only get better from here. I promise.

The following is an incident report filed by the Belmont family following an interview conducted by the Starlight Academy Scout, Timothy Willows.
To Whom it may concern
I don't know what kind of sham institute you are running out there, or what kind of slack-jawed hooligans you feel it is appropriate to hire, But I want you to know that my wife and I are incredibly displeased with the service we received from your so called recruiter.
Upon his arrival, we graciously allowed him into our home, and after donating a sizeable amount of money to your organization, we allowed him access to our daughter. He was to conduct what he called an interview and then take her off to your facility for rehabilitation, or whatever it is you people do out there. for the most part, things seemed to be going well, that is until Mr. Willows returned from the interview. He informed me that My daughter would not be coming in to say goodbye and that in his personal opinion my wife and I were terrible people.
For starters. I am familiar with your island and what many of you are. For him to use such a term as if he were equal to us is just offensive. The whole reason your island exists is because we need to remove different things from the main population. Secondly. Where do your staff get off telling people they are terrible people, to begin with. We called you. We told you about our daughter. It's not like we threw her in the river. Clearly, we are not bad people. Third. And this is perhaps the most important part. Your people are not paid to have opinions.
If I do not receive confirmation that this individual has been sacked I will be deferring this matter to my attorneys to have this settled in a less than civil way. I eagerly await your response.

Additional Information:
Izzy's neck is covered in scars. A pair of fang marks from where she was bitten, and several long marks that wrap around her throat or hang over her chest. Despite her allergy to silver, she will often wear silver necklaces so that she can feel pain.
