Nyota sat criss-crossed applesauce on her bed, her large sketch pad laid propped up on her lap as she worked on her latest piece for her art class. She was just finishing up the second out the three of her charcoal drawings that her teacher assigned to class. They were not due for an entire week but Nyota had other shit to do and she actually liked doing her art homework. She can't really claim the same for her other class. With one last smudge Nyota holds up the image of her latest masterpiece: a charcoal rendition of her favorite Star Trek themed lamp that her friend James got her a long time ago. Okey so her work was amateurish but damn it was she proud to make something semi-decent. Content, she rips the large piece of paper and lays it just next to drawing of the school fountain that she completed earlier. Now that she drew both a place and a thing... all that was left was to draw a person.
This was where she hit a bit of snag... she didn't really know all that many people. While she entertained the idea of going around and demanding someone to model for her, in the end she thought it was better to draw someone that she at least knew. Her friend James was the first person that came to mind but... she would have to call his ass over. Sure he would be happy to sit still she drew out his features but... why bother him when he could bother her new roommate Sky? They got along pretty well, making a solid go impression on her even if he did sort of force his way into the dorm. Well assuming he wasn't doing anything... maybe she could ask him to be her muse of sorts?
"Yo Sky? Got a moment?" hollered Nyota, her turning to look for Sky whom she assumed was somewhere in the room with her.
