Asano nodded at the student before him, approving of his movements. This was one of the students that came for martial arts rather than power training, and if Asano had to describe him, he could say this boy was coming along well. Not needing any offensive tactics, due to his elemental powers, Asano had instead focused on training him in dodging and redirection.

"Hey Yuki!" He whistled, summoning her over. His daughter had been training with him for a while, and would be a good test for the boy.

Hearing her father’s call, Yuki stopped her training and turned into snow, quickly moving down the hall and reforming in the doorway.

“Yes father?” she asked politely, stepping towards him. She already knew what his reason for calling her here was, however it would be rude to not listen to his request first in case he was wrong.

Waiting for Yuki to appear, he was not surprised by the trail of snow. She took after her mother.

"This boy shall be your partner." The boy in question seemed rather pleased and had a grin that the instructor didn't like. Asano knew his daughter was beautiful, but he didn't like everyone staring at her. A small knock to the head later, he sighed. "Combat partner. Simple rules. No powers. Stay inside the ring."

Making eye contact with Yuki, he nodded, to tell her not to go easy on him.

The boy was bigger than her and was about even with Asano, so he was definitely looking down at the girl. "Guess I should refrain from the grabbing, or would you prefer that?"

Yuki nodded back at her father, turning to face her opponent once more.

“Do not hold back. I won’t be.” She stated calmly, taking her position across from the boy. In a contest of pure strength, she would certainly lose. However in her own style that difference wouldn’t be a hindrance. If anything her opponent underestimating her made things easier. “I am prepared.”

"Oh yeah? I'm prepared too." He was a bit put off by the girl's behaviour, but composed himself again, seemingly forgetting everything Asano had taught him in presence of Yuki.

Looking at both combatants, Asano judged their stances. his Daughter seemed prepared, while the boy didn't even try. Strike one. "You may begin."

Asano grinned as the boy, way too sure of his victory, went to Yuki's top.

Yuki quickly struck two points on her opponents forearms, pinning them to her chest with her right hand, her left delivering a swift hit near her opponents jaw, the boy seemingly going limp. Using the arms she had pinned, she lowered him onto the mats gently. He would be fine in a few minutes.

“Was that all father?” She asked, tilting her head slightly. He had been a clumsy opponent, although the outcome may have been different if this was a fight with powers.

"Yes, that will be all." The Boy had lots of potentials, yet her vastly misjudged an opponent, and none of his moves had made sense afterwards.

Poking him, he got the boy to look at him. "Never believe an opponent to be weaker than you. On this Island especially."
