Coral looked at Amaranth with wonder. "I... did kind of think autism was some sort of brain disease... We never had any of that back where I grew up so I never really knew what it was." Coral felt a bit guilty but she supposes life as an experimental subject didn't give her all the access to proper research.

But the way Amaranth had explained it, Coral would think the girl would make a fine artisan. She'd always thought all artists saw the world differently. If it meant anything remotely similar to that, Coral would think Amaranth would have such a talent. She was only growing curious.

Her response confused Coral for a moment. "Well I suppose it would be quiet since... these are the offices. I'd doubt they'd want noise here..." Coral muttered, looking around. It was true; there wasn't quite a lot of students here. "Um.. do you like people watching? Or... something like that. I mean, if you're hear and all. Watching the new kids coming and going."

Amaranth smiled, nodding in understanding. "There's a lot of false information about autism out there." It wouldn't do her any good to get angry now, no matter how much she hated the companies profiting off of fear-mongering. And she certainly couldn't blame Coral; if you weren't searching for real information about autism, then you weren't going to find it at all.

"Yeah, people watching is a lot of fun for me. There's a lot to take in without having to talk to everyone. Sometimes I'll just listen to music and zone out over here. The library is good for doing that too. And the roof, " she added. She could sit up there for hours, watching students go by.

"Usually though, I take walks downtown and I go exploring. Sometimes I'll go to the beach, or just wander around in the woods. It's practically impossible for me to get lost."

"Actually.... it was more like people where I'm from used that as an insult and... I couldn't didn't have access to any kind of things to look it up... Sort of like that." It occurred to Coral she hadn't quite explained why she didn't know. She hoped she didn't offend her. Even though Amaranth was smiling, she wasn't sure how to approach that response.

Nonetheless, Coral was only getting more fascinated with Amaranth as she kept talking about herself. "I've never actually been out of the school before. I mean... out for walks and all. I still don't know my way around," she said with a soft smile. She actually wanted to go outside but she was still worried about going around, walking by herself. "I mean even if I have these," Coral tilted her head back and twitched her wings just a bit, "I kind of really miss out on places, I guess."

A sudden idea popped in her head. She didn't find it such a good idea but she felt like Amaranth was good company, "You wouldn't happen to be busy any time around this week would you?" she asked. Realizing she sounded a little too eager, she shrunk back down a little with a light tint of pink on her cheeks from embarrassment, "I mean, I wanted to go around the city sometime... but I don't... really have anyone around and I might get lost." She wasn't technically alone, she had a friend, but she knew she couldn't drag him around, even if she wanted to.

Ann nodded, still smiling. "Well, there's no use in fretting over that now. I can't get angry at someone for not knowing."

She listened; it sounded like she was pretty new here, and that she didn't really settle in yet. Ann would have to check on her later; make sure she was getting along okay, maybe help her unpack if need be. She could probably go downtown later and get her a little housewarming present. Something useful.

"Yeah, I understand. I can do this," she glanced over Coral's shoulder before teleporting behind her, and then back again, "among other things, but usually I just climb around the old fashioned way. When I said I can't get lost, I meant that no matter where I am, I can always teleport back to my dorm room. That's not to say I don't know my way around, because I do, but no matter what, you'll always be able to get home with me around."

Flight was technically possible, but she'd probably pass out from the expended energy, or something.

"Psh," Amaranth said with a grin, "I'm never busy. I'll tell you what, can you remember my dorm number? It's the third floor, number 335. Stop by whenever you like."

Coral's eyes glittered when Amaranth disappeared out of her sight and back again. "Whoa, that's amazing! I don't think there's a Mod like that back at the biodome!" she breathed out without thinking. But the moment she realized she did, she shrunk back just a little. She didn't really want to talk about it and hopefully Amaranth wouldn't pry. But if she did ask, Coral wouldn't have a choice but to explain. (She did but from experience, she wasn't allowed to decline.)

"Anyway, I guess that makes it easier for the both of us if we get lost," she said with a meek laugh, "Third floor, 335. Got it. Don't worry, I've got a really good memory! I'll drop by sometime this weekend." she turned to look around her, worried that she might have raised her voice. "So um, I've got to get going. I left a friend outside the building and he might be waiting for me." She said, bowing her head a little before skipping past her.

"It was nice meeting you, Ann!" she called out as she ran off, almost tripping from not looking behind her.
