"Are you sure that’s the way?" Kacey asked calming down somewhat, for a minute there she thought she was going to fate but she was pulling herself together. "No No No this isn’t the way! Where is the rock that looks like a face?"

Ian walked over to each path and looked down about 20 feet. "Here it is." he said as he slowly walked up to it, it still had that same distorted complexion it held before and Ian quickly turned to face Kacey, so no longer having to look at it. "This must be the way then." he said as he took her hand again to try to make sure that she still stayed calm.

"Ok ok." She said looking at the rock. Even though it was horrible looking it somewhat calmed her down a lot more to know they were headed the right way after all.

As they walked from the rock, Ian began thinkign to himself. How can something like that be so dam ugly, and someone like Kacey be so dam pretty. he though, and how are they even allowed within hundreds of miles of each other, being such opposites. he thought just realizing at the end of his thought that Kacey might be able to pick up what he had just though using her powers.

Kacey looked back at the rock. Ok we are going the right way for sure. Unless there’s a million of those rocks. Kacey thought as they walked out. Her powers seemed to be buzzing at her like they had something to tell her but she ignored them.

While they were walking, Ian turned and just looked at Kacey for a second, but didn't say anything or really even think anything. He looked back at the trail and it seemed pretty straight, he only hoped it lead back to the school.

"Sorry for panicking and everything. Well I already told you before I was a chicken." Kacey said breaking their silence then found herself wondering if she should have.

"Your not a chicken." said Ian, "I actually think it was really brave of you to go that far in since you did say you don't like the dark." said Ian with a smile. He really wanted to tell her how pretty she was, but he decided he wouldn't since she did have a boyfriend and coming from a friend , that would be very akward for her to respond to. Ian figured since she may also be able to pick up the thought using her powers that he should try to just think about other things, but he couldn't manage to do it.

It was against Kacey’s better judgment to use her powers on him. She wasn’t going to, they were friends and if he had something to tell her he would. She trusted him, so Kacey just ignored her powers again. "Thanks." Kacey said, she looked at him and smiled.

"No problem." said Ian as he continued to debate telling her. He knew that telling her might not result in something good, in that she would have to think of a valid response to it which would be akward. Yet not talling her and having her find out through her powers or some other way may put a sense of distance into their relationship as friends, which eh really didn't want, so he still fought his own mind trying to decide if he was going to say something or not.
