Enelya walked out of Abigail's office, just after signing her contract to become the school's new counselor. Oh, it was just so exciting! She'd never had a job before, and she was really good at helping others... So it would only make sense for her to do this, right? Enelya just hoped that she'd be able to make a difference in the lives of the children who came to see her...

The Plant Lady turned around for a moment, waved at Abigail, and closed the door quietly behind her. Abigail was such a sweet lady, and Enelya was glad that this school was lucky enough to have her for a headmistress. Enelya tugged on her shoulder length brown hair. She'd dyed it and cut it since she left the forest, and though her purple eyes were still very prominent, she didn't stick out so much with her blue hair anymore.

Sadie was a mess, to say the least. She wondered if it had really been wise to decide to take on teaching at the school. Could she really, really handle it? She really just didn't have a lot of backbone at all; how was she going to keep the students in line?

She really wished that she had someone to talk to about it, someone to assure her that this really was a good idea. So she ambled down the hallway in front of the headmistress's office. Sadie didn't know the woman that well, but she was someone to talk to, right?

She saw one of the teachers leaving the office, and she smiled and waved slightly. She didn't really know her all that well, either.

Enelya looked, up, and noticed another new teacher. At least, by the baffled, and nervous look, she seemed to be new. Enelya offered her a friendly smile, and waved. "Hello, are you a new teacher as well? I'm Enelya Haldis, the new conselor." Enelya twisted her hair around, and flipped it on her back, putting it out of the way, and offered the new teacher her hand.

Being the new counselor, she could always start with a new teacher who seemed to be a bit nervous, right?

Wow, that was a coincidence. A good one. Sadie took the woman's hand and gave it a single shake. "Yeah, I'm a new teacher. I've been here since I was eleven, though," She said. She went silent, not wanting to just say "hey, can we talk?" even though Enelya was the school counselor.

"Oh, and I'm Sadie Mahoney," She added, blushing a tiny bit.

Enelya shook her hand gently, and then let go, folding her hands infront of her stomach, listening to what Sadie had to say. Been here since eleven? Goodness! Enelya grinned, "have you been settling in okay? I haven't found my office yet... But then I just signed my contact a couple minutes ago..." Enelya shrugged, a little smirk still on her face. "What do you teach?" She looked like a very nice lady. Shy, but smart, too.

"Oh, and I'm Sadie Mahoney,"

The Plant Lady nodded, "Wonderful to meet you Sadie Mahoney."

"have you been settling in okay?"

Sadie was silent for a moment before answering the question. "I guess. I mean, I want to teach, but I don't know if that's a good idea. I mean, I've spent my entire life here around the students, as one of them. And I'm not much older than alot of them. I don't know if I can really handle it." She blushed at her out burst. She usually didn't say so much at one time.

"What do you teach?"

"I teach science." Sadie wasn't worried about that part of teaching. She knew she was smart. She could name all of the constellations and she knew how to handle most any sort of wound. No, that part wasn't terrifying at all.

"Wonderful to meet you Sadie Mahoney." /i]

"You too," She said, and she meant it. Sure, she had only known the woman for a few moments, but she was glad she had met her.

Enelya's eyes went wide, and she stepped back a moment, not expecting such an outburst of worries. Though her face went soft, and she put a gentle hand on Sadie's back, leading her to a bench outside of Abigail's office. "Shh... Calm down, it'll be okay, really. If you've been a student here, then you know better than anyone else what it's like." Hopefully what Enelya said would make her feel better... Perhaps this was a good way to see if she really was fit for her new job! "Besides, you know, despite some behavioral problems, I think all these kids need is someone understanding to help them along the way..." Enelya gave her a bright smile, and a reassuring nod. "You'll be fine sweetie."

"I teach science."

The Plant Lady gasped and leaned in a bit. "Oh! That'll be lovely! I bet the kids will have so much fun in your class!" She patted Sadie on the hand and nodded again. "Don't worry, once you get settled in, and the students realize what a great teacher you are... It'll be great."

Sadie smiled. "You think so?" She had only met the woman, but her oppinion was still comforting. "I just don't know. What if I can't keep them in line or anything?"

She knew the importance of making class fun and interesting, but what if she couldn't? She sighed, annoyed with herself for being so upset.

"I just don't know. What if I can't keep them in line or anything?"

Enelya thought for a moment. There were always some students that just lived to make their teachers' lives more difficult than they had to be. She tapped her chin for a moment and grinned. Allen was so good at discipline! Surely Sadie could talk to him and find out a few things. "Do you know my husband, Allen Haldis? He's really sweet, but he knows a thing or two about discipline... If you have any problems, you could probably send your students to him. He's the history teacher here." Enelya tapped her finger on her knee for a second, and thought for a moment, "tell you what, why don't I help you set up your classroom... And we can discuss this even more? Unless you were already doing something...?"

Sadie laughed. Yep, that sounded like Mr. Haldis. She'd been a student for eight years; she basically knew any teacher that had taught in that time span. "I think I might actually have to end up doing that," She said.

"I'd love that," She continued enthusiastically. "Thank you so much."
