"Dammit! Hell!" Nykolas cried as he ran through the courtyard. He darted down the pathways, not stopping to anything or any people that may have come out for a walk. The sun was slowly rising up, just the thought made the boy run faster. When he made it to the academy's main doors, he fumbled with the handle as he tried to grasp it. When he finally got it opened and got inside the large building, he leaned against the doors, chest heaving, and heart still racing.
He closed his eyes, letting out a sigh of relief. He was inside. Safe. No, there were still windows that light was starting to seep through. Nyk gave a soft whimper. But clenching his fist, fingernails biting into his skin, almost ready to draw blood, he started walking down the halls, making his way towards the lounge, but at every spot of the morning light, he shrank away from it.
Nyk soon found himself in the lounge, which seemed to be one of the darker rooms to him, it seemed like that to him at least, for now, before classes start, perhaps he could find refuge here. When he came in there were a good few people here, most of them looking tired. When he spotted a soft chair in a corner, he quickly went over there and sat down, pulling a leg up and put his arm around and leaned his head on his knee, his hand still clenched in a fist.
Everyday it was getting worse and worse. He kept forgetting to get in quicker before dawn. And it was getting hard for when he had to stay in all night and day came. He couldn't ever think straight, he was doing terrible in classes because he can't keep his mind off the edging light that keeps coming.
Nykolas took a deep breath and leaned back, letting his leg fall back down, brushing his hand over his silvery hair, eyes searching the place again.
