Nathan's new home was different, far different than anything he'd expected. The blue fairy, or whoever she was hadn't given any information about this world beyond that his past would hold no sway on how the people viewed him. What she'd told was true, but he'd found that that even its simple devices were different, today's curiosity was something people here viewed as an every day thing, a cell phone.

So, Nathaniel sat on a park bench, his fingers occasionally pressing the screen of his new phone. People had said it was a long distance communication device, similar to the voice stones of his words. He'd quickly realized that this phone was far more complicated that the magic devices of his world.

He flinched slightly as the phone's alarm went off, the sound hitting his sensitive ears. The werewolf's thumbs started to search for a way to shut it off, his eyes becoming wolf like in frustration. Finally a crack appeared as his thumb hit slightly to hard, that was another thing he'd discovered, this technology, was more fragile that the magical items of his world. He sighed, his eyes returning to normal, yes, it seemed he had much to learn.

Manta Carlos was everything Zoe had imagined it to be from Alain's calls and visits back home, and more. It was total culture shock, with so many people ignoring even the strangest looking people because that was the norm. It was great. But on the other hand, people still tended to stare at her a bit. Pity her, because even here on an island with so many magical fixes for any kind of issue, she was still stuck in a chair.

It didn't help that the full moon was looming. Zoe could feel its presence creeping into her mind, making her less understanding than she usually was. But she was determined not to let it ruin her day.
Inside had been too cramped, but she wasn't ready to hit the woods just yet. So the park was a nice middle ground. As she wheeled her way through the paved walkways through the park, being this close to nature, even curated nature, was nice.

A sound caught the girl's attention as she stopped to lounge in the sun for a minute or two. A phone alarm. Whatever, she could ignore it. It would be silenced in a second. Only it wasn't. Zoe counted in her head. Two minutes. Who could ignore an alarm for that long?

Her curiosity getting the better of her, she unlocked her wheels and rolled on over to the source of the sound. It was really hurting her ears at this point; making her a little irritable.
Finding the source, a confused and slightly irritated man, Zoe huffed in frustration. She caught the scent of wolf and found herself as intrigued as she was annoyed.

"Hey," she called put, trying not to sound rude. "You gonna shut that off? It's kind of loud."

He looked over at the girl, a few years younger than him, by her scent he'd say she was a wolf, but she sat in a chair with wheels. Nathan didn't pity people, he never asked for pity and so would never give any. His eyes did fill with a bit of curiosity, he hadn't any werewolves of this world yet. "Apologies, this....device is frustrating," he turned back to it, and pushed the screen a few more times, trying not to damage it further.

"I was told it'd be a useful tool here," his ears were starting to ring slightly from the alarm, a wolves senses could be as much a curse as a gift. "This noise it makes, I don't know what's causing it."

Nathan looked back to her, this world was becoming curiouser and curiouser. Technology that was boggling him, and wolves that seemed completely different from the ones of his world. He offered her the phone, "if you wouldn't mind, it cost a bit and I'd rather not damage it further."
