"Well yeah," Caissa said pulling her hand back to take a sip from her drink. "My old man is a Goetic Demon who grsnts knowledge. So I have knowledge too. Probably not as much as him yet. But one day."

She fished out an ice cube from her glass and popped it in her mouth to suck on for a bit while she watched Marcus. Turning into animals wasn't that special. "You take things from books? What about people? Like, if you read a Harry Potter book could you pull out Harry himself?"

"sounds quite Knowledgeable. I don't think I've said anything yet you didn't know, so I wonder how much more he knows." He said quickly, before looking away.

"Well, not quite Harry Himself.
" Marcus shook his head, looking at her again. Everyone assumed he could take out people. "But I can take out the invisibility cloak or the Elderwand if I desired."

If this was a date, he shouldn't have brought his bag, but Marcus had it with him now. He pulled out the pen, along wiith his copy of the Deathly hallows. "So, um, do you want to see it in action, or should we start looking at the pen?"

Caissa leaned forward when he brought out the book. Wow he actually had a Harry Potter book on him. She kind of laughed and covered her mouth to keep from being too loud. "I can't believe you have a Harry Potter book with you. I didn't even guess."

"Pull something out. Is it permanent? Does it have all the properties of the object in the book itself? Does it have to be a book or could you write something down and get it?" A million questions pouring out of her mouth. She wanted to know. Wanted to see what his limits were. That was way too useful of an ability.

He wasn't going to talk about the pen yet was he? Marcus sighed. He had no problem with it. They were still waiting for their food, so he could wait more. "Not permanent. After I summon a few items, a countdown starts. Almost every property is copied, don't ask me which."

Taking a moment to think about the questions, he started again. He had one left. "It has to be Books." At this one he smiled. "Though I'm writing things down so I can get them later."

Pulling out a few books, mostly popular fantasy novels, he asked the Girl. "Pick an item from any of these books." He could spare a summon If he was careful.

Caissa looked over the books in sequence, pondering to herself. "Not permanent. That's a shame. A girl could really use an ability like that. Oh well," she said, chewing on the straw in her glass as she picked a book out of the stack. The Hobbit. There was something in it she'd always wanted to really see.

"This one," she said, sliding it towards him. "Pull out the Arkenstone. It's the most beautiful gem in literature. Supposedly."

Okay. He had one object out already, so he had to be careful. Picking up the book, he flicked to the page. He had tabs on most pages for items, for easy accessibility. Marcus had wanted to try this one for a while, yet had never done it. "As long as you aren't selling it, I'll do it." He laughed. Talking to her was getting easier. There was no way this could be a date.

He quietly read out the necessary line, and as she watched, all the words on the page, all the words in the book, merged together, forming a jewel in the centre of the now blank page. Putting a clip on the page to hold it open, he handed the Jewel called the arkenstone to her. "I believe this is it?"

Caissa's eyes lit up and she took the stone in her hand. "I wouldn't sell this for anything. It's... incredible." She turned it over in her hands. It really did catch light and reflect it s thousand times over. It practically glowed in her hand. "It's really too bad it won't last. I'd do anything to have this on a necklace. Or a ring."

Smirking playfully, she set the arkenstone down and rested her cheek on her hand. "Well that was fun. I guess though I do owe you an explanation on that pen, huh?"

Marcus had to admit, she looked quite beautiful as she held the jewel in her hands. he caught his breath as it glowed. Not mentioning how it was mostly permanent, he picked it up when she sat it down. "I agree, It would make a good piece of jewellery."

Clearing his throat, Marcus put the jewel down in the centre of the table. it was almost a shame, she was a nice person to talk to, and he had finally gotten comfortable. "I'd like that thank you. it was rather run talking to you, and though I'd like it to continue, we should get down to business."

"Well aren't you just a sweetheart? But sure. Let's get to it." Caissa took her napkin and a pen that she always had with her and started drawing out the runes that she had seen on the pen and the schematics Marcus had shown her before. It took her a couple of minutes but when she was done it was an exact replica.

Putting the end of the pen in her mouth, she leaned forward and pointed at various parts of the magic sigils. "I figure you're not the kind of guy who doesn't want me to just fix it. You want it explained to you so you can do it yourself later."

She went through explaining the places his magical code could be simplified, streamlined, and generally improved upon. Noting where he had a good idea but executed it poorly due to the limitations of the specific type of artificing he was using.

As Caissa began to draw, Marcus pulled his notebook out of his bag. He brought it everywhere, in case he saw something noteworthy. He also had some sketches of some people, but that wasn't important. When Caissa was finished, Marcus compared it to his drawing. The lines were different, as Marcus had different strokes, but overall, it looked the same. "I guess you really do know everything, Caissa." He said, moving his chair to be next to her, rather than the opposite.

"I'd like to see where I went wrong, yes." Marcus nodded, agreeing with her analysis of him. "Means I won't make the mistake later."

As she begun to explain his errors and possible fixes, Marcus noted them in his book, this time on a fresh page. every now and then, he'd ask for clarification and changed his notes to fit her responses.

After a bit, he would put down his pen. "I'm amazed at how good at this you are. I came here thinking you were just using this to get me on a date or something like that." He laughed.
