He was offering her his number, she counter-offered hers. That was a great sign, cause it meant she actually wanted him to be able to contact her. It didn't happen often, but Allen had experienced ghosting in the past, and that was never fun. Waiting for the promised text or call, and receiving nothing.. No thanks, he'd rather just be told someone wasn't interested. But alas. ''Hah, ok, let's swap numbers then,'' he said, opening his phone on the add contact page before handing it to her. ''That way we prevent any of the classic 'lost your number' scenarios from movies, right?''

Lil asked about Wren, and Allen's face instantly lit up even more. ''Yess, Wren's from London, I met her in boarding school there. She's so awesome, literally saved me from getting bored to death. We always practised our abilities together - that's also how we got caught and ended up here, but it was totally worth it.'' Finally, Allen finished his rambling about Wren. ''I bet you guys would get along great.''

When they finished swapping their numbers, Liliana put her phone away in her pocket and listened with interest to Allen talk about his friend.

"It sounds like you two are really close," she surmised, happy to hear that the two friends had been able to come to the island together. She assumed it made things easier to have someone they could count on and who was going through the same thing as them.

"And you mentioned abilities, are you both magical by chance?" Liliana asked curiously.
