Live paused for a second, the high of the moment allowing her typically defensive nature to drift away for a moment, listening to the man. She didn't make eye contact, just stared at her page as if examining the bottle drawing. She was quite for a long moment before finally speaking.

"I've never been normal, I have no complaints for you there. The problem is I..." She looked up from the bottle drawing her eyes quite high and soul too old, "I don't know what to do with this life. I'm an accidental Walker of the Shadow Realm. Well, accidental in the sense that I am all too rare to have a purpose it seems. Nothing predetermined because I am so 'ab-noraml'."

She suddenly looked away again, back to her paper, "I'm sorry. I just know I'm worthless." Live started scratching away with her pen to the paper, adding further abstraction to the bottles on the page.

Jack gave a slow nod. Ultimately, he could empathize with what he was feeling. He wasn't The Wandering Mercenary for no reason. He paused in his drawing, leaving a pretty intense dot on the page.

"I've been... alive for a long ass time. And you know, I don't know what to do either. I came from a time that said everybody was made for a purpose, and that purpose was like, to worship god. And then it all changed, little by little, while staying the same. I've seen all the faces a thousand times. I've seen those same faces die a thousand times." He hummed. "Maybe you're worthless, but so is the rest of the planet. Maybe we're not made for a purpose. Maybe we just... are."

He looked up at the glittering night sky. "Sometimes, that comforts me, you know? The stars don't care about what I do, so I can just do whatever you want. And so can you."
