"It was, yes," Frederick said with a small nod of his head. "I, and everyone else from Halcyon City, had assumed he'd passed away. There was no body, but... that wasn't exactly unusual."

There were precious few bodies, and no time at all to bury them. Missing meant dead.

"I was lead to believe you were a friend of his," Frederick said. "Did I hear wrong?"

Zora nodded at Frederick's words about Halcyon City and those that perished or went missing.

"A friend? .. Yes, I guess so," Zora said at his question, "We didn't talk that much honestly, but yes, I'd say we were friendly, on good terms," she told Frederick, wondering how much he actually knew.

There it was again. Either he'd heard wrong--and his suspicions were completely off the mark--or she was simply hiding it.

He could work with either, he supposed. One option was vastly preferable, but he could manage with either.

His face fell slightly, and Frederick shook his head.

"I apologize for interrupting then. I had heard the two of you were close, but it would seem I was mistaken. I won't take up any more of you time."

"That's quite alright, Mr. Crawford," Zora said as she sipped her coffee. "The rumour mill is probably filled with stories. I can only imagine what they have been whispering since the attack," she shrugged. "It comes with the territory, I suppose." Zora remarked off-handedly.

"I only knew your son very briefly, and I can honestly say he talked very little about himself or where he was from when he worked for me," she said being extremely honest. Even now, she knew very little about him, back then, well, even less.

That certainly sounded like Godfrey, but it gave him nothign else to go off. He nodded, and then pushed himself to his feet.

"Thank you for your time, miss Del Bosque. I'm sorry to have bothered you so early in the morning for so little. Hopefully your day at work is a pleasant one, though."

Assuming she had nothing more to say, he'd allow himself to be excused, heading out on his own.
