Michi dropped her phone to the side. Yeah, maybe she could sleep on this first? She was ready for sleep anyway when her thoughts came to haunt her. And she didn't want to keep Lizzy up either.

Eventually, morning came.

Morning. I couldn't sleep well.

About last night...

Lizzy let out a groan as she read Chi's text, and scrolled back through the texts that she'd sent the past night. She'd been hoping it was all just some crazy fever dream. But now that she was awake she was able to confirm that it was all real.

Like I said, it matters on how he responds. I doubt he can stay mad or even upset with you for long. But if he tries to act like it's fine, know that it probably isn't.

Lizzy saying Rowan couldn't stay mad at him was a comfort, but the fact that he could be upset about what Michi said didn't actually sit well with her. Either way, she didn't know what to do about that.

So...... in the instance that he does 'try to act like it's fine', should I bring it up? Would explaining myself be a bad idea?

Lizzy let out a sigh. She'd figured it went without saying, but Chi did seem to be a bit lost when it came to dating.

Absolutely still bring it up. If you don't say anything, it's going to look like you don't care about what happened.

Michi hated bring things up herself, but it looks like she wouldn't be left any other choice if Rowan doesn't. Why does she need to think about this, she asked herself, typing away.

I mean I do care but I just don't really know how to put that into words. But okay, I'll bring it up if he doesn't.

Lizzy read the texts several times over. It almost felt like Chi was asking two different things. But at least telling Chi what not to say was easy.

Well, I definitely wouldn't try to downplay what happened, even if Rowan tries to do it himself. You hurt him, and I know it sucks to admit that, but it's true. And while you should explain why you reacted the way you did, don't try to make excuses. Other than that, be honest about what happened. Lying is only going to make things worse.

"Easy for you to say," Michi mumbled to herself as she read Lizzy's reply. She still didn't actually know how to answer Rowan's question directly.

Michi had typed out 'It's not like its my fault entirely. If you hadn't said a word maybe I wouldn't have ended up saying that,' but took it back, deleted the first draft before sending in a new one. She reminded herself to stop blaming anyone and face the facts. She, after all, didn't have a great mouth filter.

Okay, but don't count on me not to ramble halfway through. Um. Wish me luck, I guess?

Finally Lizzy could breathe again. Chi would apologize to Rowan, using the advice Lizzy had given her, and everything else would work itself out. Crisis successfully averted.

Luck won't have anything to do with it. Just remember what I told you and you'll do fine. You can do this.

Lizzy quickly followed that up with a second text.

I do want to hear about what happens when you finally talk to him though. Maybe you two will finally become a couple.

Michi chuckled wryly. She wouldn't really know. Maybe Rowan decided dating her wouldn't be a great idea after that conversation. Ah well. Whatever happens, happens.
