"Figured. That's fine. The cheese'll cut through that." Broen ate one for himself to confirm, and sure enough it was just a bit too sweet. He didn't regret the powdered sugar though.

Broen glanced at Rory and shrugged. "I mean. Grow up rich, but have to cook your own food. You learn how to make all kinds of shit. And it's relaxing, most of the time. It's my little slice of Zen, I guess you could say."

"That's massaging for me. Or monster makeup." And the silence was relaxing. All things considered, it wasn't a bad time. It could have been worse. Rory could have had a bowl thrown at her head. Oh, shit. She had to remember what that thing looked like.

Rory closed her eyes and enjoyed it. There wasn't a lot of times that Rory got to relax like this, high on the endorphins of a night, not thinking about home or worrying about her team.
