"I'm fine, every is fine," she'd tell him, the school actually required them to go to therapy because of past instabilities. "So don't worry, you focus on Tomo....actually probably healthier if you focus on yourself," she'd stretch a bit, stepping back away from the bap, "I'll be fine, always have been."

She'd tilt her head, looking him over, it was still odd seeing how much him and Tomo looked like her, part of the reason be dyed her hair. "Yeah she seems very fighty," she'd sigh a bit, "look, we all gotta deal with things, sometimes on our own."

They'd bap away a bug that was buzzing a little to close to her, "eh, I haven't actively hunted in.....forever," she'd shrug, "if you wanna track something, go ahead, I'll follow, watch for now at least."

Tadashi stood up and stretched with his tail flicking slowly back and forth. He thought about what she was saying but he just couldn't focus on himself. For better or worse he was still going to worry about them. Secretly he was planning to just try to hide it better if he could. Not a healthy decision to be sure, but who said he knew what he was doing?

As for dealing with things on their own he wasn't a stranger to that idea. "I guess I can try to just let you deal with your stuff. But only if you promise you'll let me know if you need help." Tadashi had a determined look in his eyes. No way was he going to abandon his sibling but if they truly needed to do some things on their own he could probably accept that.

Finally Tadashi perked up at the prospect of hunting something with Shiro. Or several somethings if possible. It was hard to share a mouse between two cats. It didn't even occur to him that Shiro might not want to eat their kills. With a gleam in his eye he looked around the area they had been sitting in. His ears twitched a little and he sniffed around but alas there was no hint of prey just then. "Well looks like we scared all the stuff away. Let's be sneaky and go find some more things to chase. Just follow for now if that's what you want."

With that Tadashi turned and slinked into the bushes and grass, keeping low and quiet. Listening and looking and smelling for anything they could hunt. As always his preference was mostly for mice but if Shiro liked birds he supposed it would be ok to see if they could find any. It was night though so it wasn't likely they would find too many of them out and about

She'd sigh and stretch a bit, nor answering when asked to let him help if needed, Shiro was intent on dealing with things on her own for now. "Yeah let's go," she'd let out a small cat yawn before following him, expectedly she was out of practice, rusty when it cam eo such things.

The young cat would keep her eyes mostly on her brother her brother as she tried to mimic his movements the best he could. She'd occasionally playful bap his tail, to tease and to let him know she was still back there following him as they moved through the grass.

Her nose would be twitching as it picked up the different scents in the air, despite her having not actively hunted in a while she could still tell what was what. Mice and birds seemed to be their main objective. She'd look to Tadashi again, though it was strange having siblings again she couldn't help but be happy she was spending time with them.

Tadashi definitely noted that Shiro refused to promise to let him know if she needed help. He was pretty sure he understood why but it still really bothered him. It meant that he couldn't just rely on Shiro to tell him if things went bad. She either didn't think she needed or didn't want his help.

For the time being though he had to just shrug that concern off and focus on having a good time. They could still do that and maybe it would help them feel more like siblings eventually too. As he snuck quietly through the grass he noticed that Shiro wasn't quiet as good at avoiding noise while stalking around. It was probably something only a cat with great senses would have noticed but it was there. She was definitely a little rusty but all in all she wasn't terrible.

Except for her occasionally batting Tadashi's tail. Rather than be upset at it though he was enjoying the playfulness. It was rare that he actually got to hunt with anyone, let alone his siblings. If he hadn't been dead set on actually scoring some prey he would have turned and tackled her. Then the game would have really been on.

After a while he slowed down and looked off to the left. Rather than seeing he was listening to the rustle of something in the grass. It smelled like.... yes a nice juicy mouse! His tail flicked a few times as he crouched and then without further hesitation he dove off into the bush. Unlike Shiro he had never really stopped hunting. Slowed down for sure with having the cafeteria for sure, but he still felt like a cat in so many ways. With precision he pounced on the mouse and it never had a chance.

Instead of eating it however he turned and offered it to Shiro. "Here, you can have this one and then I'll have the next one. You feel up to being the one to get it?"

They'd squint a bit and slow with her brother, watching as he seemingly picked up a scent. She'd watch curiously, trying to learn a bit while watching, she doubted that she'd ever need to hunt and would never do it as often as him or Tomo, but they might as well learn the basics.

She'd watch as he pounced the mouse and brought it back, surprised when he offered it to her. "I...uh s-sure," she'd poke the deceased rodent with her paw a few times before giving in and eating it, it was better than she expected, but she doubted mice would become a common meal for her.

Sniffing the air she'd quickly catch the scent of another mouse and start to slowly sneak in its direction. They did a decent job at it, stealth was something they hadn't used in a long time. Finally she'd spot the mouse, crouching down she'd leap in an attempt to pounce it, unfortunately she missed.

The chase began as she went after the fleeing rodent, disappearing in the brush ahead, she'd then reemerge the mouse cause. Unfortunately Shiro was quite soaked and shivering, "there w-was a pond," she'd set Tadashi's mouse as waw their agreement.

Tadashi watched Shiro poke at the mouse before deciding to actually eat it. It was a good thing he hadn't tried to give her a live one. It would have probably got away. Still she did eventually eat it.

Even better Shiro seemed to take to hunting her own prey as well. Tadashi quietly let her take the lead and shadowed her. She was doing ok. Her stealth needed more work but it wasn't too bad. Except she missed her pounce. Then when she came back she was completely soaked.

Tadashi couldn't help but laugh at her. As much as cats hated to get wet they did always look ridiculous when they did. He was so glad he hadn't followed her blindly into the bushes. "Y-you know if you wanted to go fishing you could have said so," Tadashi continued laughing. He pulled himself together to eat the mouse though when she set it down. No reason to waste a mouse even if it was a little damp.
